Clearly the email is canon to the quest, but our emails will only arrive in March 2019, in-quest. :V
If my calculations are correct (which they probably aren't), that's about 2,900 in-quest days in the future. To put that in perspective we are only 18 days into this monster quest after about 5 years IIRC.

That means that our distant descendants will be arguing over how Sabrina should respond to these archaic 'emails' somewhere in the ballpark of 2813, assuming the Cephalopods haven't exterminated humanity by then.

Sent another message to Sabrina

Got a bit more creative/roleplayery with this one. And yes, I do have this girl's wish/wish magic worked out.

[x] Ask for more details about the Kagoshima group. What are they like?
-[x] What's Utsugi Karina's power? Did Homura know that Kagoshima had a Grief Controller?
--[x] As a tangent, ask about the "Osaka" grief controller. Is she an "issue" you need to deal with, or someone she thinks would come after you?
-[x] Does she have any recommendations on how to get them to cooperate with fighting Walpurgisnacht?

Looks good to me.

[x] Mention Oriko's power shifting to clairvoyance.
-[x] Try to keep Homura calm.
-[x] You believe that the shifting focus from the future to the present has a lot to do with Oriko's own priorities shifting - you don't think she'll be a threat to Madoka.
-[x] You plan on informing Sayaka and Hitomi once you exit this timestop, and you're still on board with the monitoring, to be on the safe side.
Needs a different lead-in. We start by psychoanalyzing Oriko and presenting our argument that she's not a problem. Then, as evidence, we mention that her power is changing.

[x] Oriko's outlook on life has changed.
-[x] She no longer feels such a need for control, nor is she suicidal, and seems to be quite satisfied with the present.
-[x] Wishes, and the related powers, can be messages. Kirika's Wish decided that the best power for Oriko was antimagic, and that convinced Oriko to discard her magic and, with it, her motives and worldview.
-[x] Her soul is un-twisting and coming back with a different power.

[x] Mention Sayaka's insight into Madoka and Hitomi's skills in the Model UN.
-[x] Madoka has low self esteem, and always wants to help. That's why she's at such high risk of contracting.
-[x] Sayaka suggested having Madoka and Hitomi help with the political analysis in Tokyo, and after mulling it over you think it's a good idea:
--[x] Doing political analysis while staying in Mitakihara would be a way for Madoka to really contribute without being at risk, which you think would decrease her urges to make a contract.
--[x] Plus, given how complicated Tokyo politics is going to be, you'll frankly need all the help you can get.

Looks good to me.

[x] Mention that Sayaka figured out that Homura cares for Madoka's protection in particular.
-[x] You didn't tell Sayaka anything specific about Homura. You did tell her that you trusted Homura and to not bother Homura about it, which Sayaka accepted.
--[x] Also, Sayaka called Homura a friend, so that's definitely progress.

Typo fix :]

We ought to try to prepare Homura for -finding out what Madoka wants - and only then offer our plan for how Homura can respond.

This is a small detail. The Devil!Homura is in the details.

I think they're insinuating that Homura might get upset at the mere prospect of "Yo Oriko is getting her powers back. Also they're a totally new superpower."

It's a debatably weaker (if admittedly still potent) power though... Also we've been largely benefiting from Oriko's powers though until they kinda gave out. If anything, this development is a boon we can make use of. I mean, I don't really want to monopolize Oriko's time now that she can (soon) get some time out to enjoy with Kirika. It's just a helpful thing.

Helpful?? It basically forms the bridge our civil security is lacking in current effectiveness! Only Precog would keep the city safer. Oriko is poised to become Homura's best asset. This should be fun.

Tokyo-Kagoshima-Madoka-Sayaka-Oriko is the nice order in which to deal with current facts?

Redshirt Army's and Vebyast's Oriko plans had merit - so parts of both are here.

I think explaining the mechanism is first, then mentioning that change has happened, then details. If we want a future with less conflict over Oriko, I can see Homura getting there by having repeated contact. She will have to accept the proof on her own terms, and the only way to see the truth is to look at it.

Homura needs prompting to bodyguard Madoka the best she can. In this case, Sabrina or Mami can put out the request to be our think tank, and Homura joins in with her. Can it be any neater?

[X] Warmly accept the invitation

[X] Timestop. Get Homura to voice her opinions about:
-[X] Chiyoda group powers?
-[X] Her future plans for path of Tokyo relations? Role of Osaki? Risks in Meji?
-[X] Visiting Mako's group in Kagoshima, what we should aim for?
--[X] The presence of another Grief user
[X] Prepare Homura for Madoka once we present the Osaki meeting to everyone
-[X] Homura can imagine the responses with us
-[X] We need all possible help, but Hitomi and Madoka can't be exposed
-[X] We need a think tank
-{X] Ask her if Madoka would accept this, or be unsatisfied
-[X] Ask Homura to assist Madoka and Hitomi with offline planning
--[X] We will need some speeches written for Mami / Sabrina.
--[X] Secretly, we have set her up! Homura will have to perform the draft versions with Madoka and Hitomi!

[X] Sayaka is now treating her as a friend
-[X] Asking us about Homura's connection to Madoka.
-[X] She can see this. Explain our conversation w/Sayaka
-[X] Is willing to accept Homura's actions.
-[X] Understands not to bother Homura about it.
--[X] let Homura express herself regarding above

-[x] She no longer feels such a need for control, nor is she suicidal, and seems to be quite satisfied with the present.
-[X] Get first person POV. Homura should prepare for discussion with her again?
-[x] You plan on informing Sayaka and Hitomi once you exit this timestop, and you're still on board with the monitoring.

Didn't compress.

I have a suggestion!

The next time that we're cooking lunch, cook a lot more food than normal, then give Homura a bunch of it to put into her inventory, so she'll have good food in there once the leftovers from the picnic are gone.

"Now, Homura. I'm going to give you all of this extra food, and I need you to be very careful with it, because at some point I'm going to ask if I can have some of the food that I gave you and it is imperative that you have eaten it all by then so you can tell me to go cook more food with Mami."

We should also use some of our Yakuza money to buy a camp chair for Homura, to put into her inventory, so that way if she's timestopped somewhere there's no seating, she doesn't have to sit on the floor.

We can call it a Kaname family tradition to give the gift of chair.

That seems more along the lines of the sort of thing she'd already have in the shield? She had a kettle full of hot water in there after all.

She sat down on the floor when she was working to load the weapons during the Yakuza raid. She otherwise just stays standing. Even if she rarely uses it, having it there so she can sit with somewhat more comfort? Fits with our mission-statement of getting Homura to take better care of herself.

Though you're right, we probably should ask her first if she has a chair (and a table!) in there. Collapsible camping equipment is good for this.
