A bit off topic but about dewitching. What if it's not about infusing clear seeds with just magic laced with hope based memories but a myriad of emotions. Like what makes people... people instead of agonized grief monsters.
PMMM has some roots in Buddhism. Magical girls and witches are Asura and Kyubey is Deva. The Asura are almost like the Deva but are bound to lives of conflict, while the Deva are practically gods. The Asura are born from good intentions gone wrong. Kyubey once pointed out that wishes tend to warp into curses because they don't exist in reality, and also that the magical girl system heavily relies on karma.

Magical girls have positive karma and witches have negative karma. How does any of this relate to clear seeds? It seems to me that clear seeds are more or less karmically neutral, perhaps even enlightened to a degree. They are free from both wishes and curses.

Well, that was a good chapter. Shame I don't know anything about TTS though... Maybe I should read it? It doesn't really sound like my sort of thing though....

Anyway,

I've heard that it has very good scifi world-building, but that comes at the expense of story line. I, personally, never made it past the first few chapters, but that was because I got sucked back into bingeing Austraeoh.

The facts are that any magical girls can use physical force beyond human means, sometimes in excess of the common sense strength of materials as we know them. Anywhere from hundreds or even tens of thousands of watts of kinetic work is normal from them, even before inertia takes a holiday via magic expenditure. How could a mechanical force appear like this, perhaps starting with the case of a weapon strike from any of the characters? While reading the latest piece of the story, the desire to pick at that black box appeared. I found this to illustrate my hallucination in drab Standard Model reality.

And now for something that completely bolloxes a mathematical appreciation of 4D - 3D sectioning, and gets gravity wrong!
Are the weapons of a magical girl brought in / created with any desired rotational inertia in higher dimensions? Thus making a chosen path through 3D space execute as if there were less mass or force required to move the weapon? Could it "hyper rotate" at speeds sufficient to frame-drag, and thus cause impacts against the weapon to play out over a very much longer time for one frame of reference versus the other? Thus, the construct could appear more durable or massive depending upon the applied energy and precise control of the asymmetric time dilation?

Is a 4D displacement / high speed rotation part of the durability we see when Walpurgisnacht no-sales an attack?

[X] Prepare to discuss practical concerns regarding prisoners with Yuki
-[X] Do some research on the Internet for local details.
-[X] Also become more interested in her neighbors.
[X] Ask Sayaka to deliver fruit as an apology after her training with Kyouko.
-[X] No particular message.

The holistic approach is worth trying first. My suspicion is that a group effort is the best way to restore the fully human emotional activity to a Witch. To do this, we need more Club members. Making more girls join the club isn't a free action. Please make further suggestions?

On the topic of possible alternative activities, what's the general feeling of the thread on looking into psychological help sometime soon? Even something like borrowing Mumi's laptop to see if there are any counseling services in Mitakihara might be enough to get the ball rolling. We do, after all, have multiple prisoners who's rehab may rely on something beyond Sabrina's abilities, without even going into drillcurlgunwaifu's worrying codependency, Kyouko's family issues or freakin Homura.

NPC therapists - let's fund this. Two items could be possible in short order.

Organization planning with Yuki, as regarding her ability and predictions to interface with mortal helpers. Recruiting them means being able to have a working environment, among other things. We can solve in parallel with the recruiting step.

Building Sabrina's base knowledge about the people able to do the work is a stat multiplier we should pick up. Not knowing the publicly available info would reduce our results when we talk with the Shizukis. Intellectual standards are high here, so placing all the load on the adults isn't the right format.

Hey what are we doing after lunch?

Visiting Fukushima, and potentially dropping in on Sendai.

We have lots of stuff to discuss with Fukushima - Rionna's incarceration, finally dropping in on Airi and doing an amateur psych session, and Yuki's future node in Mitakihara.

I'd like to discuss ties to Tokyo with both Fukushima and Sendai, so we can finally move forward with the Tokyo council and secure Yukariguca's assistance with stuff in general.

I'll admit, I've been growing sour on visiting Fukushima today.

The first reason is that we actually have a discussion planned for Yuki's node in Mitakihara, in this post, and had planned to do that this weekend, but in order for us to make any more progress beyond where we are now we first need a building picked out. As it stands, there's no progress to be made on the topic, unless Homura has already finished that.

Dropping in on Anri, meanwhile, feels like it would be best done after we have some idea of what we're doing with dewitching. Reason being that dewitching is the chief reason she agreed to stay imprisoned, and showing her that, yes, we are taking her very seriously.

Unfortunately, as it stands we've made what may be a tiny bit of progress, but still basically have no idea what we're doing. I'd kind of like to at least try to get something substantial to show her before we meet. Just trying to give her therapy without that kind of in does not strike me as something that will go in a productive direction.

There's little that we plan to do that can't be done by making Fukushima the first stop on a weekend trip, which also gives us time to put work into the things we plan to talk about.

[] Telepathy Hijiri: Hey, do you want to have something of your own that Niko will never have? Take up marksmanship, as in guns. Niko won't touch them.

I have doubts about that working, but I suppose it should test for us being an angel fairly effectively.
Coming in late on this, I know, but growing wings doesn't prove Sabs is an angel. Now, turning into an absurd accumulation of wings, eyes, and/or wheels, that'd do the trick.

Unfortunately, it appears that for all that bluster, I won't be updating tonight. Wound up being caught up with a problem at the lab, hyperfocusing on it through lunch, and being completely braindead right now. :V

Apologies.

That's good, because I just remembered one more thing we need to do.

We need to tell Mami that this works.
The most common advice, show don't tell?

Further down this path:
Peer hydro-cognitive therapy. Magical Girls in Mitakihara will have a reputation for great complexions. A lesser benefit of their social habits resulting in frequent moisturization. The wet look would be something everyone would take for granted?
