Ehh there's no reason it has to be done right this moment. It can wait until Mami and Sabrina have relaxed a bit.
I'd appreciate that. It honestly wouldn't take much. Something like:
[ ] Nadia
-[ ] Vote in abeyance
[ ] Niko and Kazumi
-[ ] Fill them in.
Should cover it.
In the interests of fairness, even though those actions don't take up much votespace, I should point out that they might take up a decent amount of updatespace. Still, at worst we'll probably get a mini-update to tidy things up before the fluff, and more likely the fluff might get spread out over two chapters, which is practically a positive.
"Anyway... OK, so. Since you know, between you and me, one of the reasons I'm very interested is that I want to work on turning Witches back. One of the reasons I'm hoping to meet up with Riona Mag Aoidh."
Nadia nods, tanned skin a touch pale. "I see," she says. "We know each other knows. Do you have different messages for me to carry?"
I am unsettled. Hopefully, I'm reading too far into this, and Nadia is just unsettled by us saying we want de-witchification but...
I think the common assumption is Nadia being scared that we're apparently one of those crazies that end up going down and dragging down their fellows with them... with the power to really fuck things up.So I was re-reading, and...
I am unsettled. Hopefully, I'm reading too far into this, and Nadia is just unsettled by us saying we want de-witchification but...
AAAAAAAAAA!
But why the tone should it be one of hurt-comfort (and for that I immediately think "sad")? I read that as comtemplative because it'd be something that Sabrina finally realizes; I'm even throwing "hopeful" as a qualifier because not that Sabrina knows what she wants for herself she'd hope to continue being with Mami.I should note: I talked with Firnagzen while I was working on this. As I said, the blueprint came first, and I still have no idea how to directly convert that to a "normal" vote without a shitload of loss. Firn's said he'll happily draw on it for content, although that statement is his to confirm.
I'm well aware that this isn't what might traditionally be thought of as "fluff." It's more hurt-comfort sort of themes.
Nadia was unsettled, because as far as she knew then only desperate meguca who want to bring their friends back really go into dewitching. However the conversation didn't end there, and Sabrina's later explanations* in the next story update calmed Nadia down, to the point of her having a good laugh and then:I am unsettled. Hopefully, I'm reading too far into this, and Nadia is just unsettled by us saying we want de-witchification but...
AAAAAAAAAA!
"Do you think there's anyone I should meet, who might be interested or who can contribute to this?"
"Who are aware of the origins of Witches, not insane, nor desperate, and able to help?" Nadia blinks slowly. "No. I do not know right now. Perhaps Rionna. Perhaps not. Such a combination... It comes rarely. Kyuubey, he manipulates events, fimti? But I will ask around quietly."
This is... extremely random and I don't know where it came from. Probably lack of sleep.
"Anyway. Later, Oriko, Kirika."
The platinum blonde, formerly a Seer, watched her tentative friend fly off, alongside the three others of varying levels of friendliness, if you allow for negative values.
The lonely blonde clung to Sabrina, and seemed to be improving every day now. She was the only other one ready and willing to give Oriko and Kirika a chance, if only out of sheer trust to the Grief controller.
The time traveller, determined, rigid, stoic. Throwing back a hateful glare as they zoomed away. She would play along, as long as Oriko showed herself to pose no threat, as long as she made herself a target on Sabrina's Magical Saving radar.
Lastly, the justice driven warrior, the naivest of them all. Confused, pulled on one side by pragmatism and duty, on the other by shameful, silenced wishes of revenge. She didn't dare look back.
Soon enough, the four left Oriko's physical sight. Of course, her Wish's Eye had long since closed... but still they remained under her mind's Eye, playing on strings to the tune of her schemes, as much as she allowed her own strings to tangle with theirs, giving up her own freedom in order to have a chance to... manipulate them in turn.
For the good of all. For the big and the small.
"Everything is going according to plan*," she whispered.
A light clatter of silverware had Oriko look at Kirika who, never having left her side, now held a small plate with a half eaten slice of cake on it. The black haired girl smiled up at Oriko as she shovelled another piece of chocolate goodness into her mouth, almost purring as she savored it.
Oriko waited with a raised eyebrow until Kirika opened her eyes again.
The shorter girl beheld her Ojou's questioning stare and shrugged. "You said cake, that means I get to have some."
"First, I did not say cake," Oriko tapped Kirika's nose, before raising another finger. "Second, I never agreed to that ru- hmm..."
A spoonful of cake expertly manouvered into her mouth cut Oriko's retort short. Kirika grinned as Oriko's obvious delight at simply having cake -quite a good one, she had got good a baking as of late- warred against her desire to remain stern, trying to refuse to enjoy the chocolate treat, as delicious as it was, for not even a magnificient cake should keep her from teaching Kirika better manners-
Who was she kidding? Oriko licked the spoon clean, before taking it from Kirika's hands and returning the favor.
Kirika chomped down on the offered cake with gusto, and the game continued.
Oriko sighed sadly, as all her plotting and planning would have to be postponed.
There was cake to be had.
*plan means keikaku.

No, no, what this does is this:Clearly we need to get Kirika and Oriko SO WAFFY with each other that Oriko has no time to plot. She will be too busy snuggling and being adorable with Kirika.
... and then Homura gets jealous and can't figure out why because she likely doesn't understand WHY she feels the way she does for Madoka because she's had a messed up childhood and then she becomes Homucifer and were doomed!
WAIT THIS IS A BAD PLAN D:
"I'm not thinking about hugging you and feeding you cake."
Both Madoka and Homura startle.
"... Well, I am now."
Pop.
Homura disappears.
Or, in other words, tl;dr she's seen events broadly equivalent to the canon plot of Kazumi Magica play out too many times?Nadia was unsettled, because as far as she knew then only desperate meguca who want to bring their friends back really go into dewitching.
Madoka hugs Homura
gets dragged to the next timeline
...shenanigans ensue
I'd had thought Homu would just go somwhere else, not somewhen else, but you sent Homu and Madoka into another timeline?! Madness! How will Sabrina help them now-
Pop!
Homura and Madoka reappear back where they were, blushing and looking away from each other.
"I... I k-know a nice bakery."
"Yes."
Oh right, Homura can go back to previous timelines.
But why the tone should it be one of hurt-comfort (and for that I immediately think "sad")? I read that as comtemplative because it'd be something that Sabrina finally realizes; I'm even throwing "hopeful" as a qualifier because not that Sabrina knows what she wants for herself she'd hope to continue being with Mami.
It's a good quest.
The next day, Sabrina and Mami stare.OH... you said disappear and I thought she nopped out of the timeline.
Homura disappears.
Madoka: : (
Homura reappears with a cake *jams spoonful into Madoka's mouth before she can rethink her actions*
Then they hurry after their friends. They had to be around for the moment Homura's conscience caught up and her mind crashed and burned. Homura would need all the help she could get, then.
The fact they got to watch their friends be cute together and enjoy a dinner date while doing it was a nice bonus.
'Damn it, just a little longer and she wouldn't been able to back off...'[12 years later]
Homura: *finishes getting her wedding dress set just right* .. ... ....... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
Sabrina: *stops timer* 6,315,696 minutes
Homura: *hyperventilating* I..I..I'm
Sabrina: *hugs Homura* It will be fine.
