No. We have these things because the characters we all so deeply enjoy reading exposed us to the fact that these were things we could have as part of this story: fluff, jokes, slice-of-life scenes... I don't think anybody ever predicted that we'd have this based on the OP. I'm not from the crowd that came from witch quest or Sayaka quest, so maybe I'm wrong about that... But I know it's true for me, and I doubt anyone predicted the full extent.
The thing about the flask -- if it's been delayed this long it's unimportant. That's how these things work. Firn doesn't delay important stuff without telling us it is, in fact, important
Firn delayed asking the Pleiades about the girl following Niko, who turned out to be Hijiri. That was pretty important.
Jeez, that did happen didn't it. Things might have turned out different if Sabrina had insisted on checking up on that like some people had wanted.
I mostly remember it because I keep kicking myself over it. At the time, I was one of the people at the time arguing "it can't be that important, since Firn skipped over it".
If you're annoyed about that, imagine how I felt when Sayaka became a magical girl.
I'm not really sure if this is one the same level, though. What do you think that drink could be that makes it urgent to find out about?
Riona effectively has been taken out of the quest. I don't think we'll be talking with her for a long, long time, due to Doylist reasons.I can't help to notice that Rionna said something about the fact that the shades disappear after a while. Considering that we still can't understand if she has some dear at her side that she care about like madoka for akemi,
why don't we try to play safe and ask her under antimagic, just so we don't gain an enemy that righteously want us dead and that can create an army?
Oh, btw, I forgot, but yes, Firn has given us information we haven't earned. It's why it's a very small, forgotten meme that Brina is also a precog ("yeah Oriko, precog doesn't make you special," Sabrina pushes Oriko onto Kirika's waiting arms. ).I really want to learn more about she-who-must-not-be-named though. It doesn't look like we'll get to interrogate her, so maybe Firn could drop the notes for her on us? Or is that just not something Firn would do, giving us information we haven't earned?
What if Nadia already has this information and has been laughing at our backs ever since we first talked with her about Rionnna? The most important reason to check the flask is so we can look for something along the lines of "If found, please return to..." and then we would know how her name is spelled.
What if Nadia already has this information and has been laughing at our backs ever since we first talked with her about Rionnna?
Sabrina: "Nadia, every single thing you told me about Riona was wrong!"Suppose she got the wrong info?
Would she really withstand two heavy blows in succession?
SCIENCE that doesn't involve basic research on the nature of Sabrina's Sabrinaness is no longer useful. Rionna going down like a chump has convinced me that there is a griefhax or power on our team that suffices for every situation that is not the quest's final boss. Given that, I think that there's is a fundamental disconnect between what we've been doing, i.e. random life-hacks, and we need, which I think is information about what Sabrina is and what her power actually is but could actually be literally anything. I'm becoming certain that it's one of those bullshit "the real power was inside you all along" golden BBs that we can't "figure out" until the game hands us the solution right before the final boss. So I'm kind of not sure science is worth the time or effort any more. Certainly not this kind of "science".
I would personally prefer to contact Niko and Nadia ASAP, and have the Mamifluff after. That said, given the way votes are gone trying to campaign for that seems like wasted effort, and the opportunity cost of doing the contacts later are relatively low. So as long as Kai's vote doesn't Brinapilot us to tommorow it's cool with me.
There's a real chance of it brinapiloting us to tomorrow.
If you want some telepathy done first, tell me and I'll shove it in ahead. Or better yet, we could do a microvote for that stuff and abeyance mine.

I'd appreciate that. It honestly wouldn't take much. Something like:
[ ] Nadia
-[ ] Vote in abeyance
[ ] Niko and Kazumi
-[ ] Fill them in.
Should cover it.
In the interests of fairness, even though those actions don't take up much votespace, I should point out that they might take up a decent amount of updatespace. Still, at worst we'll probably get a mini-update to tidy things up before the fluff, and more likely the fluff might get spread out over two chapters, which is practically a positive.
