Not having a precog on staff makes it a lot harder to find people and plot hooks.

"Ask how Kuroki's power works" is going to be part of conversation with Homura after this.

If anything's too damaged, what are the odds we can fill up the missing parts with Witchy Grief?

Maybe just go Enchanting Bracelet -> Speckled Enchantment of Mending -> Repair this phone.

It's not like we need the phone later on.

does the sim card hold text messages?
A limited number of messages and contacts are stored on the SIM card, apparently:
Wikipedia said:
SMS messages and contacts[edit]

Most SIM cards will orthogonally store a number of SMS messages and phone book contacts. The contacts are stored in simple "name and number" pairs: entries containing multiple phone numbers and additional phone numbers will usually not be stored on the SIM card. When a user tries to copy such entries to a SIM the handset's software will break them up into multiple entries, discarding any information that is not a phone number. The number of contacts and messages stored depends on the SIM; early models would store as few as five messages and 20 contacts while modern SIM cards can usually store over 250 contacts.[citation needed]

I was assuming that everything on the phone would be stored on an SD card and easy to swap over, but reading more about it, that might not be the case.

We know that we can make Grief emit EM radiation, such as radio waves, so making a functional cell phone should be possible. It wouldn't have a service plan, so the cell towers wouldn't talk to it, but if we spoof Kuroki's phone ID by stealing her SIM card then we should be able to get any messages sent to her after she broke the phone.

...of course, the police will probably be watching that account and try to track the location, so let's not try it at home.

So Discord had an interesting discussion, and Aura may have had a minor meltdown.

Link to the logs.

In essence, we have come up with an interesting interpretation of WPN's actions and "motives." And also the possibility that WPN may be based around Riz Hawkwood, the Homura to Tart's Madoka in Tart Magica. Or it's based around a combo of Tart and Riz's Witches. We dunno.

(I personally like the idea that WPN's core is Riz without Tart, and that she's "playing" the role of Tart in her endless stage show. Hence the Tart-esque abilities and looks. But this is very much up for debate, and is just a personal pet theory.)

[.] "Kazusa, I'm going to show you a magic trick. Where are you, right now?"
[.] "Okay, hold out your hand. One, two..."
[.] Timestop with Homura, fly over and cleanse her Soul Gem, along with the rest of the Saints. Find Hijiri, verify if she's Contracted: if she has, then put some pants on her so you can give her a wedgie. Then fly back.
[.] "...three. Pretty cool, huh?"
[.] Continue plan Onmur

Huh. Interesting.

Re: Matter Deletion - Don't the Japanese tend to view injuries as an impurity? Something placed on the body, rather than something taken from it? I can see how the author would have thought "getting rid of injuries...deletion seems right."

Just noticing, but this part could be reworded?

EDIT: Red part is not part of the vote.

Ooh, you're right, that's actually a straight-up bug, wasn't part of my vote at all. Let's try to fix it...

The reasoning seems to be less that and more "I REJECT this fate."

[X]Talk to Homura

(Wordcount: 145)

Swapped order of asking about other magical girls around town and offering a clear seed.

Relating to the above, I'm of the opinion that, whether by covertly asking Michiru or directly looking it up online through metaknowledge implications, one way or another we need to figure out the situation in Asunaro. It's a matter of knowing the battlefield before you prepare for it.

Pulled more from Onmur and Vebyast. Condensed a bit to fit things together.

Put vote on having to head off the situation in Asunaro before powerset examination. Included the possibility of the Saints being attacked while their leader is away. (A la, what happened in Sendai during "We've got Hostiles") Thankfully handing the people back home a clear seed should help a lot (Which is part of why I'm offering to loan Hildegard for a bit) and we can easily pull a line like "You're in our city, under our hospitality, and you were probably attacked because you came here. What happened is very much our responsibility now," in order to justify getting involved.

Changed up the focus on divergences from our metaknowledge to filling gaps and gathering info rather than just warning for inaccuracy.

Changed parting with Oriko vote: The point is to give her a question to mull on, and a potentially important one relating to her powers. The previous version seemed a bit too confrontational and less thought-provoking.

EDIT: Edited tally 3: removed last five words, pertaining scrounging up a new grief seed to replace Hildegard
