Changed phrasing to better get shit past the radar without keeping Mumi out of the loop. She ought to know the real reason we're going there, even if she doesn't necessarily need to know the specifics. Simply saying "things may get hairy if someone doesn't intervene" should fit that purpose well - it's open ended, but natural, and if pressed we can expand on it further without possibly witchbombing Mami. It runs the risk of putting Mami in a protective state, but even then, that's probably the best mindset for her to be in if she needs to be Witchbombed, outside of like, zen shit. Most people can't kill in cold blood, but if you put a knife to their SO's throat they'll shoot to kill by instinct. In this case, it means we buy time to social away Tetris.

I don't like that phrasing at all. It comes off as way too flippant, and being too flippant has caused major issues in the past.

Kazusa is likely a sore spot for Mami, and if things go right next update... we might go ahead and end up telling Mami we're not gonna be her emotional crutch tomorrow noon, and might instead go into a potentially dangerous situation alone.
So, if there's one thing I don't want to leave to autopilotBrina, it's making sure she doesn't go full steam ahead and misses a tell if Mami's uncomfortable.
Also, I really want to address the fact we want to go there without Mami. If we don't do this this vote, we really should build it towards it next vote.

Here I want Mami's reaction before proceeding.
Makes me wonder if we should have Homu call in sick tomorrow (she has the ready excuse after all, being recently out of the hospital) and go with Sabrina and O&K to Asunano. Yes it means leaving Madoka in class without her, but both Sayaka and Mami will be there to protect her.
This gives us a full team of meguca who we don't have to worry about infohazards around, who can (hopefully) be a match for even the bullshit that the Asonanoans can dish out, and who all know exactly why we're really going there in the first place.

Strongly disagree. Frankly, that's exactly the kind of thing that we should be leaving to brinapilot. We can't think of every possible failure mode. We can't provide a plan for every possible sign that Mami will be having trouble. A detailed plan will only constrain Firn and Brina and force a failure. Instead, just say "Watch out for Mami, help her if you can, break for voting if you can't". Since the vote structure change, Brinapilot has caught and flawlessly defused several major Mami problems, in some cases mid-update when they blew up out of nowhere.
If you want to not be blunt, write goals and strategies and a "don't be blunt" directive. Brinapilot is actually pretty damn smart, give her some credit.

We, Mami's emotional crutch, want to go into a potentially dangerous situation, into a place so far Mami can't reach us.
Mami's already chided us and cried over us doing that BEFORE the whole Lichbomb thing.
Like when we tanked Aurora's attack. Or when we met the Sendai girls on our own, on Oriko's word.
So what I'm realizing is: This next update, softening that blow on Mami should be our utmost priority.
It's the most important thing we need to do right now. If not for the fact we're being open about this, I'm pretty sure we'd be breaking a few promises about being more careful, for Mami's sake.

I was reading Redshirt's previoua vote, which only had a small 'if' of concern for Mami near the end.
We've had bad things happen due to not microing where Mami's feelings are concerned; I wanted to make sure all votes have some sort of "make sure Mami's OK" line.
If we can SOCIAL good, we should be able to get Mami's approval.
But of course, we're SV.
What if we ask Masami and Hiroko for help? They don't have school.
We can offer to make it up to them, since they're already helping with Kuroki.

Those were all before the Great Revotening. Since then, we've had things like this multiple times:
I think that having a "pay attention to mami" is important, but I think that that's enough unless we're focusing a specific, creative argument.
Plus, from a meta perspective, Firn screwing us over for failing to perfectly predict three rounds of conversation out is a great way to make the thread descend back into paranoid squabbling.
It sounds like an excellent idea to me. It's Homu bonding time, which we need more of, and she wouldn't mind missing school.

Homu leaving Mitakihara while Oriko and Kirika are in it and active is a tall, tall order.
Specially if Sabrina's leaving Mitakihara at the same time.
The only thing between O&K and Madoka then would be... Mami and Sayaka. Mami being in a different class than Madoka. Sayaka being Sayaka.

Relevant: In Magia Record, Homura drops everything and leaves Mitakihara (and Madoka) to investigate rumors in a different city that there's a way to avoid witching out.
Even if the events of the game aren't PMAS canon, characterization should be. Telling Homura that Asunaro is a dewitching lead should be more than enough to get her to come, and keeping an eye on Kirika if she comes too would be a bonus.
She'd have to trust Madoka to Sayaka and Mami for a bit, but I think she can handle that.

Seeing as the biggest problem is interpersonal issues, I think it's worth making the argument to Homura for. Let her make the final call there.
I very much like the idea of calling Homura and asking if she wants to join in too.
For what it's worth, Oriko has lost her specialized powerset. And her backup. And an arm. Worst comes to worst and Homura's paranoia was aright all along, she's one magical girl against two.

Asunaro being different from the one we know, from what we've heard so far.
The problem with Homura is that Homu gotta Homu.
Homu just won't see reason about Oriko. We've tried.
If we care about her opinion, we can't leave Oriko unattended and ask Homu to leave the city with us. She'd just lose faith in us.
