We may not have told them "we'll be there at two", but I'm fairly certain that we told them to expect a call and a rough timeframe for it that covers this weekend. No, we didn't. I'm getting tired of having to remind people of this. We scheduled Sendai and Ishinomaki. We're definitely going there. We have not scheduled going to Tokyo. We never called Noa back to suggest that she arrange a meeting with the Council for us. I suggested doing that, but no one voted for it. We do not have an appointment in Tokyo.
And finally, Tokyo. You only had the one contact with them, Ueda Noa, the representative of North Tokyo, who Akiko had tried to hire as a mercenary. "Hello, Miss Ueda? This is Sabrina, we met during that fiasco in Sendai?"
It takes a moment for her to respond. "Miss Sabrina?"
"That's me," you confirm.
"Ah. Yes. I take it this is about your offer?" Noa says.
"Yup," you agree.
"How do I put this..." She sounds kind of guilty.
"Just tell me?" you prompt.
"Ah, well, there is no unified front," she admits. "The Council generally agrees that they want to engage your, ah, services, but they can't agree on an order or a way in which to do so. Um, the Meiji group rejects your offering entirely."
"... um," you say. "I do intend to do it for free, you did mention that, right?" At the same time, you nudge Mami. "Hey, um, Mami? What's the Council? Tokyo Council, maybe?"
"Politics," Noa says, sounding wretchedly guilty.
"Um?" Mami asks. "The Council is a... um, Tokyo is just so big that all the magical girl groups agreed that they should have some kind of way to peacefully negotiate. The Council is just, um, something like the United Nations?"
"Gotcha, thanks," you say, smiling at Mami. To Noa, you respond with a neutral, "I see. Anything I can do?"
"Unless you plan on making a personal intervention, I don't think so," Noa says.
"Right, right. Thanks for the info," you say, ending that call.
"Why do you ask, Sabrina?" Mami asks.
You pull a face. "Nah, apparently Tokyo can't decide whether they actually want my help or something," you say. "Because apparently the Council is being political about it."

No, in fact we didn't:We may not have told them "we'll be there at two", but I'm fairly certain that we told them to expect a call and a rough timeframe for it that covers this weekend.
Some factions in Tokyo have in fact, for the moment, declined our help entirely. Far from being scheduled to come, if we come this weekend we'll probably touch off a gang war.And finally, Tokyo. "Oh," Mami says. "I should have expected that, I suppose. I've heard... stories about them."
You shake your head. "Ah, well," you say, hugging her close. "It's fine. Maybe I'll do something about that at some point, but up until then... well."
Noa did raise the idea of us intervening in the discussion personally to force the issue, but we were noncommittal.Barring Tokyo's council getting back to us unusually (and uncharacteristicly, from what we've heard) quickly when we contact them today, we won't be visiting Tokyo today.
I only added it to my vote because Vebyast seemed insistent on trying to make Madoka develop a negotiating strategy for us, to demonstrate a better way to approach the topic. If he's dropping the matter, then it's unnecessary. That said, it wouldn't hurt to let the rest of the team know where things stand regarding Tokyo and why we probably won't be going there. That being said, I don't think Narrators vote makes sense - we only ever raised going to Tokyo as a possibility when we discussed it earlier. We don't need to bring it up or consult on it with the group - it simply isn't going to happen.
So we do that now?I suggested that we ask her to arrange an audience for us so we could explain things to them directly, but again, no one voted for it.
Yep! That was going to be my suggestion for breakfast this morning, but the sleepover sort of derailed that. Can't we use grief manipulation to gain an extra few sets of hands, so that we can cook food without needing to stop giving hugs/cuddles?
We made a chibi already. And self playing instruments. Hands are easy as fuck. So, I just realized something.

But Veb, we are rocks.
If by "fairly quick" you mean "take several hours", then sure.
We do have access to Infinite Time right now, at least until the group breaks up for the other stuff we have to do today. If we find things taking too long, well...I would like to fit in an hour or two of enchantment practice with Sayaka, if we can manage it. Dunno what her schedules like, though. Presumably she has schoolwork of her own.
