Basically, every time she asks her precog for futures, she subconsiously adds "and where I end up dead" to the list of conditions she's searching for.

Like, really, every single future she sees ends with her dead? That's flatly impossible. Like, it's trivial to survive past that - just ask Sabrina to put her gem into orbit and retrieve it in a few weeks.

Hum. Maybe we're really super lucky and her precog is down because it can't find any ways for her to commit suicide any more? That'd be an amusing explanation.
...would it be a good or bad idea to make just that suggestion to her, I wonder?

Tell her to look for a future were Kirka is happy then.

That would also explain why she has so much trouble predicting what we're going to do, now that I think about it. I'd imagine that quite a few of the things we do make it harder for her to kill herself.

edit: And if we're seeing hints of Oriko's precog coming back this update, it'd theoretically be because she just pissed Sayaka and Hitomi off enough that there are now futures where she gets killed, opening her precog back up?

Let's just give Hitomi the ok and accept her apology. DB_Explorer's vote invites an arguement, and that's the last thing we need when tensions are high and people are still defensive and looking for the slightest hint of a challenge.

Don't agree with the "no hard feelings" bit, but *shrug*. Anyway, you are using an incorrect word here. Should be "again" not "against".
Eh. I'd agree to "no hard feelings"; it was a misunderstanding, so not something to get too worked up over. I would not, however, outright excuse her actions with:
[X] Tell Hitomi she has no reason to be sorry... she was working on incomplete information and extend that your always open for further discussions, also wish her a good day/evening.
"No reason to be sorry"? She definitely has reason to be sorry: she jumped straight past a more reasonable explanation for Oriko's injuries and immediately concluded that Oriko's arm MUST have been taken off in some sick eye-for-an-eye punishment scheme when we've given no indication that Sabrina is that psychotic. I'm not going to hold it against her or anything, but I'd be really hurt if someone thought that about me, and I'm not sure it should be so casually dismissed.

Eh, she screwed up a bit, she admitted her mistake. I don't think it is worth holding a grudge or anything, misunderstandings happen all the the time.
Like, as long as person admits that they made wrong judgment, I think "*shrug* well, it happens, no big deal" is approximately sensible reaction.

I'm fine with forgiving her, but I'm not fine with her getting it without an apology that actually feels like she took a minute to think about how her actions hurt Sabrina.

I say we give her the chance to do so on the ride home. Be honest if it comes up. Yeah, we'll get over it, but it still hurts.

Hm.
I don't agree with you because I think she can be excused, what with us being half-stranger and thus not trustworthy and her, again, not having any point of reference whatsoever, but, as per update, it did hurt Sabrina, so I kinda see where you are coming from.

Still think that ignoring hurtful comment or two thrown in anger would be an act of adult in the room. She messed up, let her cool down and think about what happened without expecting apology right here and now.

[x] Accept Apology
[x] Call Oriko out on playing the villain, ask if she has a deathwish and if she wants Kirika to be alone.
[x] Telepathy Mami to thank her for being best meguca.

She got up and tried to slap our shit. Forgiveness is fine, but we don't exactly do Hitomi any favors by letting her think that's an acceptable way to act. Its fine that she's not our bestest best bud who has unwavering faith in us, but that's not cool.

Plus, if we want her to actually be that good of a friend, it helps that she gives us an apology good enough to help smooth Mami's ruffled feathers too. Otherwise I don't see them getting along for a long, long time.
