Imagine you're Mami Tomoe. You've just discovered The Thread, literally the runtime for Sabrina's mind.

The Thread loves you.

Not lust, nor selfish emotion.

The Thread is literally engaged in a consistent argument, not over whether to stay with you, but over how to avoid manipulating you in a way that would make you less than an equal.

Absolute confirmation that Sabrina hasn't been keeping secrets from you for bad reasons. Absolute confirmation that she won't leave you. The world is fucked up, it turns out, but she believes she can fix it, and more than that--

More than that, she takes time away from that goal just to be with you.

Because she loves you.

Just for being you. Mostly.

And that "mostly" -- that's okay, because now you can see how to make her happy. You can see what she likes about you, and what she doesn't (what little that seems to be). You can do science with her, and play games (you'll have to make sure to stay up-to-date on the latest references), and everything will be perfect because she wants to make you happy and you want to make her happy and you know how to do that, now.

Finally, you know a path to end this loneliness. All you have to do is take it.

I disagree with your third-to-last paragraph. I think. I'm not so sure Mami would act in her own interest there, she might push the relationship "just to be sure, since Sabrina wants it."

I've mentioned it before, but in areas where our abilities and Mami's somewhat overlap, we can bring her in on power experimentation and refinement. She's the grandmaster of that sort of thing, so it should be a good way of spending time with her and boosting her self esteem while simultaneously expanding on our abilities.

Sabrinamagic Ideas:
• Expanded senses: Mami has hinted several times that she can 'see' through her ribbons when she wants to. Asking her for advice on how to form sensory impressions like that, how to hold them, how to avoid being disoriented from the extra input, etc. is a good idea, imo.

• Creation times: We often 'trance' when creating things out of witchy grief, but don't trance when making things out of 'mundane' grief. Practicing if it's possible to improve creation times, and finding various combat capable constructs we can generate without having to trance seems very valuable - and is something Mami has extensive experience with, giving how quickly and fluidly she can shape ribbons into all sorts of constructs on a combat timeframe.

• Clones: Mami can make ribbon clones. Holy shit. That's some intense stuff right there, and shouldn't be impossible for us to replicate. Our clones will have a 'witchy' feeling we'll have to mask by making ourselves feel witchy as well, and there's all sorts of other tells, but if we practice enough to be able to fool Mami Tomoe with them, there's very few other girls we wouldn't also fool.


Mumimagic Idea:
Range extension. Mami's wish was to 'live'. Her metaphysical attachment to earthly desires in the Buddhist sense became literal physical/magical attachments with her magic, but her magic isn't 'ribbons' so much as it is 'connections that happen to take the aesthetic form of ribbons'. Or, in other words, I think that it's possible her ribbons can act like pathways to channel other magic through and extend its range.

This would be useful for us, of course, but it would be a real gamechanger for Sayaka - powercopying is neat, but powercopying at range? It's also something that Mami wouldn't have had that much opportunity to practice (on account of being all alone :( ), thus reasonably being something that's both possible with her magic and not attained yet. I don't think Mami's magic is capable of letting her fly, for instance, or else she'd long since have figured it out.

How do you think she'd react to Sabrina's 'mind' being made up of mostly 20 something men? I don't know about you but I'd find that a bit creepy if I were a young woman living with this person.

You could ask that, but why ask that when one could instead wonder at how startlingly effective those men are at producing a (to be fair, highly eccentric) teenage girl? :lol
