As someone who mainly stays in the Story Only, what's the general feeling on this thread for starting a more romantic relationship with Mami? I am in serious favor of it, as I am a complete sucker for romance, but it would be acceptable if Sabrina just doesn't have those feelings and the thread can't force her to have them.

Eh... if we really need to know, we probably can swing some Grief around and snag any ribbons we might have attached.

Though, we could make an item to detect magic/magic constructs. IIRC, if we use Grief to make an 'Enchante Aid', we can then use that to make enchantments that almost don't ping megucas senses, thought still restricted to our Range.

Mami probably would notice, thought.

Now is not the time for it, not even close. Trying it in her current compromised mental/emotional state is very, very scummy imo.
 
I don't actually care if Mumi decides to keep her Brina on a leash from now on. Considering how much trouble we get into, that just makes her a responsible pet owner. :V

Underage romance is a no-go, and I doubt the story will cover enough time for that issue be resolved. It's fluffy waff for the foreseeable future, though.

At some point in the future, but...Sabrina is unlikely to initiate anything until Mami's more stable.

I can see Luminous in her future, however.

I think the general consensus is that, regardless of what our long term plans on this front are, right now would not be a good time.
Currently, there is no way a romantic relationship could be anything healthy with this level of co-dependency, and would only serve to make the problem worse. Also, currently, Mami would comply more out of fear rather than reciprocation; in her current state, there is no way a any sort of romantic relationship could not take advantage of her.

We need to, at the very least, get this relationship out of "pathological" levels of co-dependence before we can in good conscience take it to a romantic level.

I get the impression that while many of us expect or hope that it will occur at some indeterminate point in the future, we can't in good conscience broach the subject until her current state of emotional fragility improves. We're concerned that doing so would be taking advantage of her. There's a risk that she'll be so desperate that she would agree to something that she didn't actually want.

In essence, until she's a lot more emotionally stable, we're erring on the side of caution and assuming that she can't give informed consent.

We have Word of God that within the timespan of the quest, Mami herself won't make any attempt at moving the relationship in a more romantic direction. Having Sabrina make that first move in the romantic direction before Mami regains her emotional stability and self-confidence would be a really manipulative and exploitive move, which in the long run would harm their relationship and friendship.

Aside from the breakdown in-between, I'd this whole affair a success. I expected some sort of emotional turmoil, but was hoping for a smaller one.

Unfortunately, Brina's only tried doing stuff with her Grief without looking once, and it didn't go very well.

Fortunately, cooking with Mumi is nice, so making breakfast together is A GOOD THING, even though no breakfast in bed.

Just imagine Brina and Mumi cuddling in bed while having their tea.

Has it ever occurred to ya'll that Mami might not swing that way? That once she's in the right head space for romance that she might look at us like we grew an extra head when/if we make a move on her?
