Would we know if we were? Depths of madness and all.
Hmm...perhaps not. We'd likely recognize it in others, however.

Admittedly, I am the most likely here to be suspect, but I am quite aware of my own eccentricities....so perhaps I have not reached the depths yet. Most of us seem mostly sane.

Unless Walpurgisnacht was a collection of shameless shipper meguca who all despaired simultaneously when their OTP collapsed...

...which would actually explain a lot about this thread.

This is clearly our Barrier, where we may ship UgoMura endlessly without the risk of indisputable, contrary evidence being discovered.

Who says there aren't any? In fact, what's to say that you're not an NPC, hm?

In a manner of perspective, we are NPC's. Since NPC is short for non-player character, to any player character that perceives us when we are not a player in their game, we are NPC's

However we can also be the PC's of our own games, while simultaneously being NPC's to all games we are in but not playing.

The theory is that Madoka's wish created Sabrina by effectively reincarnating that timeline's Walpurgis. Thus the color scheme, the potential, her flair for drama, her strange mental chorus, being Caucasian, having amnesia...

...we can always try to dump All the Grief in the atmosphere, and see what happens

So should I remove that line? I kinda doubt Masami will blow up at Mami in this context, but if you feel the risk is too great, I'm willing to drop it.
I think your vote is fine, but the Masami situation needs to be handled somewhat carefully. I don't think it will blow up or anything, but there still seems to be some serious resentment left. So while we might bring her up as a potential power testing partner maybe not right now or at least not in a way that leads to Mami and Masami meeting face to face. Their first meeting should probably be without any goals or favors attached aside form trying to make up, if that's even possible.

I also have slight concerns about the Madoka approval/hug message. Maybe it's just me, but if someone told me that my superpower is kindness, it wouldn't really reassure me all that much and it could come over as making fun of Madoka and not taking her serious. That would probably get somewhat migitated by the hug. I dunno.

I agree, just keep forgetting to bring it up. Even in jest it's a really crappy defense.

I am beginning to think that the next Big Talk with Mami should include an explicit discussion about mending fences with Masami and Kyoko and any other magical girls she has managed to tick off. Or you know, who have made her so justifiably angry that she banished them from her city/life, depending on your point of view.

[Q] "That's mean! Madoka's not nothing." Sidehug. "Madoka's nice; she's kindness incarnated. Your power's just dumb."
-[Q] Dump everyone and go hang out with Madoka.

[]Madoka isn't useless! Who else are we going to get to do our fashion design?
-[]Your costumes aren't going to design themselves!
--[]Oh, they... they do design themselves... because magic...
---[]Uh...

Kindness in PMMM is in fact a superpower. See, one of the things that all magical girls avoid speaking about is that their souls are living on an egg timer; accumulate too much emotional turmoil and they die. You can stave off that event by fobbing your Grief off on others (Witches, using Sabrina for cleansing, etc) but ultimately that's putting a band aid on a gaping wound. Ultimately what all magical girls need is therapy, massive, massive amounts of therapy, lest they all start to do what Oriko is doing right now: rejecting their Wish, giving up their powers, and dying from a broken heart/Soul.

Madoka's kindness is, in this way, extremely important, as much or more so than Sabrina, in that she has the kindness and empathy to be what so, so many magical girls need: a therapist.

Yes, we all know that, but it's not what Madoka is going to hear. You don't need to convince me that kindness is important, you need to convince me that Madoka will take it that way without Sabrina pulling her aside and explaining it as you just did.
