Sigh. Voting for lolgriefbooks so we can settle this once and for all.

The Ono thing is good.

[X] We'll get to work on our own enchantment. Analysis; you want to be able to understand what goes into an enchantment... or a Soul Gem.
-[X] Ask Mami to enchant something for you to practice on; meanwhile make a Grief-assisted Anti Pain Ring for her to try and reverse engineer.
-[X] When you've got your target enchantment, try observing its magic while straining your senses; then try to mix a bit of your magic into it willing it to be a bridge between the enchantment and you.
[X] While you practice, remind Oriko that in order to test Kirika's AM enchantment, she'll need to let go of the ring for a moment. She should tell us as soon as she's ready.
[X] Whenever you feel tired, telepathy Masami and Hiroko.
-[X] How many Christmas baskets do you owe them for their help?
-[X] Ask how did their meeting go.
-[X] Also how's the Grief Seed working.
-[X] Also if they need anything from you.
[X] If you need another break during practice, try to Grief up an informational pamphlet about Oriko's Soul issue. Grief warning.

I'm leery of trying to reverse engineer a Grief-assisted enchantment without making sure thats viable. For all we know a Grief-assisted enchantment doesn't have enough in common with a normal one to be useful, to avoid wasting a lot of time we should compare the Grief-assisted and normal version of at least one other enchantment to get a better idea of the difference.

What is up with that Christmas basket line?

Considering how half our friends can be sometimes, she's not really that terrible. I don't like her, but I don't really dislike her either. It's possible that she could be exactly how she appears to be, but how often is that the case in this setting?
Right, right, she probably has some reason for being the way she is...and we're trying to save her, but she's been more "bleh have to save her even though she's annoying" to Sabrina than anything?

Certainly not a fan of Oh-No, but the less witches there are, the better...

Here's some food for thought:

Right now, we're treating the symptoms via pain blocking and anti-magic, which is good, but are there also any ideas for finding and treating the root cause/s of the sickness?

Well, of course. But there are some mitigating circumstances that make it more tolerable. Besides, it's good to keep an open mind. I still remember what my initial reaction was to Kyoko and Homura when I first saw PMMM.

It's important to remember that she is a person to help. Not a problem to solve.

Of course, Masami will be the one helping her now. Hopefully, it turns out well.

Toward Sabrina? Well, we did shove ourselves into her life, then drop a scheduled meeting we forced on her for no good given reason, then broke into her bedroom.

Honestly, if someone treated you like Sabrina treated Ono, you'd probably be a pain in the ass toward them too.

The souring of things with Ono was one of the costs of fucking around with barriers. It screwed Mami up enough that something had to give, and we gave on Ono. Probably one of the best things about this quest are the opportunity costs.

Counterpoint: she was rude to Mami and Homura. :p
