I'm thinking we should've used this time testing for grief cubes. If it worked out, it could lead to a more permanent solution for Oriko and wouldve uncomplicated our plans for the rest of the day.

Kyouko meet under these time constraints is pretty suboptimal. This could've waited until tomorrow.

I think it's fine. Just check on them, leave an empty seed, and that's that.

Make sure they're not gonna Witch out, and visit regularly with excuse of checking on the Seed.

Eh. This isn't a major slip-up.

Well, if we don't think we have enough time to spare to head over, why not just have a conversation over telepathy and do...something else at the same time? We have the attention span and multitasking skills to do both.

We do have enough time and we're already committed. This isn't a real problem, just a "in hindsight maybe".

Interesting thought:
"Excellent," you says, satisfaction in your voice. "All good there, Masami?"

"Yeah," she says, nodding. "Just like using a regular Grief Seed."
Unlike Sabrina, Masami doesn't find any difference between Empty Seeds, and normal Grief Seeds.

Not exactly weird, since Sabrina's powers are her powers, but still.

Wait, we already agreed to meet today?

Well in that case, yea, I guess we better head over.
"Hi, Sabrina here," you say. "D'you mind if I drop by? There's a few things I'd like to ask you about."

"Yeah? Whatcha got in mind?" Kyouko challenges, voice belligerent.
We could cancel. Say she doesn't sound like she wants visits, or something.

That's how she usually acts to us- but honestly, acting like we want to drop in is better for us.

I love this thread.

Too bad it moves too fast for me to really participate.

Well, that's one of the reasons I want to make a grief object that lets us maintain our awareness while making grief objects. Or at the very least, one that snaps us out of a trance should it become necessary.
Would that work? How would a Grief object determine these things, when Sabrina herself can't?

This makes me really want to try the 'thought accelerator' and the 'multitasking platform' ideas. Pity there's so much stuff to do.

It's meant to basically be an advanced alarm system. Depending on how complicated we make it, it might even be possible with current, real-world technology. But basically, motion-sensors, facial recognition, voice-recognition, etc. If something attacks us or an ally, it wakes us. If someone screams/calls for help, it wakes us.

Same.

No. But it is suboptimal. And yeah, this is an in hindsight thing. Wish I thought of the grief cube thing sooner.

Well, bandwagons have been overturned before.
And as mentioned, we haven't made a hard commitment; it would be awkward, but not unreasonable, to change our minds and back out of it now. Now, whether we want to? Good question. But the point is that it's not too late..

... You know it sounds way easier to just try making a familiar, right?

But then it loses it's meaning, though. Since it's suposed to mean they get along very well...

And oh, boy, telling Sayaka about Oriko is gonna be such a thing.

SV, prepare.

Social challenges lie ahead.
Pretty sure any fury she can muster might be mitigated by, "She lacked a head, a leg, and an arm when we were done working her over. We planned to kill her. I decided not to take it that far. Do you wish I had?" We can handle Blueberry.

But telling KYOKO about Oriko is
going to be like dueling a Honey Badger
