There's a reason I wanted to do this before or even better at the same time as the enchantment practice that I didn't have any faith would fix this problem in time, but I accepted that I was losing that argument.

In any event, the fact that I said "simultaneously" means that it'll only take as long as the one that takes the longest. In addition, I said o give up n any not working well, which means that the longest taking ones should be dropped, so only the ones that take a shorter amount of time will be made.

I suspect the others will understand if we're a few minutes late for this.

But this comes down to the fact that leaving them to go to lunch while I have ideas or things that might help them that we haven't tried yet will make me feel evil. Especially after the end of that update.

EDIT: Also, when we have a chance, we should make a grief object that makes us aware of time.

You assume Sabrina has a lot more awareness of the process than she's been demonstrated to have, as well as griefhax multitasking that has also not been demonstrated. When we have the time to burn, sure, but this lunch meeting is important. Much more important than your urge to test griefhax.

We tried, we failed, and now we need to make sure we don't let that failure snowball.

The updates said that we explicitly knew when our grief-constructs worked and that we got a headache when they would fail. That's exactly the kind of awareness I'm talking about. Also, if one finishes while another hasn't finished yet, it's clear which one's going better and the second no longer needs creation.

When we have the time to burn, sure, but this lunch meeting is important. Much more important than your urge to test griefhax.

We got headaches only after we had tried and they did not work, a process that still takes minutes.

And yet we completely fail to maintain even awareness of our surroundings or the passage of time when we're making griefhax.

If we had the time to spend on it without ignoring our other responsibilities, I would happily agree with the idea. I simply put much more stock in the concrete need to address potential game-ending issues among our friends, than I do in a plan that was already voted down and now you're trying to shoehorn back in, at the cost of addressing that self-same concrete need.

Sadly we are tight on time right now, and its time for hard decisions, if only we could ask Kyubey if what is happening to Oriko already happened to some other meguca, it would help us alot.

Is Kyubey trust worthy? No. Does he ever lie? No. If we ask him the right questions he could be a great source of information. We just need to take everything with a grain of salt and keep in mind he might not be telling us everything.
 
I think Firn might be heavily hinting the clue to fixing out how to do enchanting. Do we want to try to make our pain grief ring and enchant it with permanency, or something?

We hadn't even begun shaping grief when we got the headaches. I am unaware of any evidence that that took minutes.

Grief instruments. We've managed perfect awareness with them every time. So, it should be perfectly possible.

EDIT:^ I didn't notice the hint (not hat I usually do). If you think that'll work. Great! It'll solve loads of our problems. But we really suck with enchantment. So it's not likely something we can do now.

Not quite. In the spar with Kyouko, we lost track of what they were playing.
 
do remember that asking QB is a two way street and he will try to get as much information out of us as possible. I'd like to avoid the bunnycat as much as possible.

as for enchanting I really do want to add try enchanting the ring with permanence. if it works yay if not more practice double yay!

Like Rex said, he does not lie, and he does have records of all meguca around the world, but of course we need to be careful with him, one of my personal objectives in this quest is somehow negociating with the incubators to leave earth alone, or find a way of brainwashing kyubey to become truly our ally "cackles madly", and plot to destroy them

Well, there's really no reason not to trust what Kyuubey says, given that he simply doesn't lie, even when it may benefit him.

As I see it, there are two main pitfalls when talking to Kyuubey: 1) assuming that what he says is the full truth, like the whole Soul Gem and Witch thing; and 2) saying stuff that motivates him to fuck you over because he think it will further his goals, like with Homura and the interdiction field.

The former is fairly easy to get by when we have dozens of people with meta-knowledge. The later is more difficult to avoid because it's hard to tell what Kyuubey might decide to do, not to mention actually stop him from doing what he wants.

Here are some things I would want to ask Kyuubey:
  • Where are the Incubators from? Another galaxy? Another universe?
  • How does your species reproduce?
  • Why do you have big fluffy ears if your primary means of communication is telepathy?
  • Why do you eat your own dead bodies?
  • Can Magical Girls die of old age?
  • Can I speak with your supervisor? I'd like to file a customer service complaint.
  • Are you familiar with the concept of informed consent?
  • If the complete extinction of your species would permanently overcome entropy, would you implement such a solution?
  • Why haven't I met any Incubators besides you? Will you introduce me to some?
  • Do you ever do anything that isn't for the purpose of overcoming entropy?
  • What will you do once you've overcome entropy?
  • How does Homura's hairflip work?

This one's easy: Because that particular morphology leads to a 0.7% increase in average magical girl compliance compared to the next best choice, apparently due to being 'cute'.

• How do you keep those golden hoops suspended?
• How do esoteric magical effects generally interact with normal physics?
• What aspect of modern physics as understood by humans is most wrong?
• Can you combine to form a gigantic Mega-Kyuubey?

Well, yeah, I figure it would be something like that. I just wanted to hear (think?) it from Kyuubey himself. It would lead into the question of what his natural form is.

That's like saying that because urine naturally builds up in your bladder it okay to artificially inject more. Grief doesn't belong in a soul gem, that's why we need cleanses.
