Madoka considers things carefully and asks other people for advice and takes time to make her decisions. That is a rare quality in anyone, especially a teenager, so I would say that Madoka is definitely special. When I first watched PMMM, I kept being amazed as I watched each episode and Madoka was still resisting the temptation to contract until the very end where she made an amazing wish that perhaps didn't fix everything, but still gave value and dignity to all of the suffering that had previously occurred and provided a much needed injection of hope. I'm actually fairly confident that Madoka could come up with a great approach to the Ono Megane situation, but it would probably take a lot of time and careful consideration (and advice from others). So that's not really an option because we need an answer right now.Sadly, Madoka is actually a nice, but all too non-special girl on her own. The best she could do is ask her own mom for counsel.
If we give her the how-not-to-die lecture soon (rather than running away when we get frowned at again), we shouldn't have to deal with any more of this bullshit for at least a couple of days, and her attitude might improve in the interim. (Worth a try, anyway. It could hardly get any worse). Can we please stop bothering with this? I am thoroughly sick of Ono updates. Frankly, I'd rather have a Grief Seed than her; opening the thread every morning just to see Ono bitch at us some more is getting really demoralizing. So let's just go home; we can collect her in the morning.
If we need to explain this, I'm pretty sure Mami would buy that she got herself killed through her own stupidity...
*late to the party*
So Ono's bitchier than Sakura? Did Firn actually do the impossible?
It's also that Ono feels really snooty and snootiness is never charming.Sakura has damn good reason to dislike and be suspicious of Sabrina.
Ono, on the other hand, seems to be bitching for no good reason.
Homura does, though. She's in this conversation too.The Madoka line comes out of nowhere. Mami doesn't have the context for why she would have any incite on the matter and it basically amounts to a meta slip.
Also the part about referring to Kyubey is just jarring.
Does time stop help somehow?[x] If they have no suggestions, ask for time stop, then go directly to Ono to see what's her situation.
We can ask Madoka about this whole thing later, if we want. We're still scheduled for a heart to heart with her.
Does time stop help somehow?
Our sensing range is greater than Ono's, I believe.
Don't put it like that. I actually think kicking her down until she complies might be a valid course of action if things turn out badly enough.Maybe it's time to let out our inner Gilgamesh. She respects hierarchy? Show her just how far down the totem pole she really is. Mongrel.

This was me agreeing with you. I like your vote, if you're satisfied with it I'd vote for it.Don't put it like that. I actually think kicking her down until she complies might be a valid course of action if things turn out badly enough.
Or at least make her understand her life had a high chance to turn out a hell of a lot worse than it is right now.
It's not at all unlikely that Kyubey has been using half truths to mislead Ono into thinking we're evil and trying to deceive her. In that case, her bitchiness would make perfect sense.Sakura has damn good reason to dislike and be suspicious of Sabrina.

I call this "Plan Gilgamesh". And, like all things Gilgamesh, I actually kind of like it. Too bad we're still trying to be polite here...This is the point where I lost all faith that Ono can even live, as long as she holds her own life in her own hands.
I never had patience for people like her, even young, so an extreme (seriously, not expecting a final vote to resemble this) vote to represent an idea:
Ono seems to care a lot about social status. If we want her to not do anything stupid, we need her to listen to us, and if we want her to listen to us, we need to put ourselves above her in terms of importance.
[] "OK, then."
[] Stop on a roof for a moment.
-[] Try to use witchy grief to make an anti-magic field (AMF); Mami or Homura can provide the magic to anti-magic.
[] Whether it works or not, full (non-timestop) speed ahead. Get to Ono and, if the AMF worked, use it to disallow Ono' magic.
[] Forgo politeness. Ono's shown herself to care quite a lot about social status. Kick her down to the bottom.
-[] Take her from wherever she is and bring her outside to have a talk at her. If she's with company, blatantly use magic and ask Kyubey to cover it up.
-[] Explain in no uncertain terms that it is her life we care about, and her feeling come a far second. If she feels awful about her lot in life right now, she shouldn't have made a contract.
-[] Explain all the (non-Witchbomb) dangers of meguca life: Grief accumulation due magic usage and negative feelings; negative feelings leading to more negative feelings, causing grief spirals into death, yes, death, as is what happens when a Soul Gem fills up completely.
-[] Explain she's privileged to live in the same city as ours, as not only our powers are unique, if we weren't here, she would've been summarily kicked out of the city due to there being too many Magical Girls to sustain. That's the common life for Magical Girls.
-[] Quiz her about everything you've just said. Warn her a Magical Girl in a Grief Spiral is a danger to both herself and everybody around her, and if she leads herself into magical depression out of spite, we'll care far more about the lives of people around her than hers.
