Didn't we establish waaaaaay back that Sasa just has a crappy little field around her that makes people friendly towards her? And that it can be resisted if you know she's doing it?

I'm not particularly sure of that. I mean I'm sure it's not pure mind control but I'm also fairly certain if Sasa wanted Sayaka's parents to take a nap, she probably could pull it off.

Sasa is kind of really stupid and as long as she doesn't catch you by surprise, her "mind control" doesn't even work that well.
She may have pet witches, but that isn't really a problem for us.

Unless she gets a major power-up or grows a brain she isn't much of a threat.
On the other hand, memory rewrites and her possibly deciding to go after, say, Mami or Madoka to get to us...or even just throwing a monkey wrench into plans are definitely worth being concerned over.

Personally, I think we may need to scare her- murder's off the table, but she's a fairly awful human being with no excuse for it and bad behavior patterns.

Some ideas:

Plan A: Threaten her into knocking off her little attempts at territory grabs and/or Witch pokemon and send her on her way. She won't like being intimidated by someone 'better' than her, which will cause problems, but it might keep her from pulling shenanigans. Also, sending a petty, small-minded mind controller with a thing for grudges away with a chip on her shoulder.

Plan B: Be nice. No, seriously. Run into her, trounce her, give her a rant with the promise of Consequences if she abuses her power like that, maybe try and get her to...well, stop being terrible, and after that treat her as any other stray magical girl in need of cleanses.

Plan C: Gem her if she does something offensive, grief-rend the body, and deal with her later. My least favorite plan and probably going to be an emergency contingency for if she does something stupid around Madoka, but still better than her getting murderfaced, if only for the sake of Homu not being a murderer where word might spread to our other friends.

EDIT: Goddamnit. Guess I know what we're going to do when we return to Mami...

With regards to how we carry and conceal an assault rifle: simply, we just store the thing in a guitar case, along with a few extra magazines taped to the interior of the case. Classic and unoriginal, but functional.

We should also get a pistol as well, ideally with a holster. Never know when you're going to run into another enemy with anti-magic or something, and a pistol is much easier to carry and conceal.

Maybe Feathers decided to manipulate her, just for irony's sake. That way she might have made a better Wish, and she could have some borrowed potential, too.

Mmm... Hopefully the feather is affected by timestop.

EDIT: Wouldn't it be great if we could store things in or meguca outfit? Have them vanish alongside it and reappear when... Oh wait, that would be hammerspace.

EDIT EDIT: You know, magic being magic, we could just try to make things disappear into/reappear from hammerspace. Try to do it as we do with the hammer.

That feather could be anywhere now. Mami could've held onto it, or decided she didn't want the thing anywhere near Sabrina and discarded it.

No reason not to casually check, just in case.

Shamelessly stealing the Yuuki parts and adding a bit:

[X] We think we'll keep it in our grief cloud. Fast draw shouldn't be concern, except...
-[X] Could we get something smaller, too? Something we can conceal, in case of anti-magic or something like that.
[X] About the Yakuza, did she ever check what the repercussions of this were?
-[X] Maybe we should do more than just take the guns. Destroy everything to hinder their operations?
[] Tell her your plan B for Walpurgisnacht for if grief rending it won't work and we can't get enough goodwill for others to help: Homura endless timestop/Mami Tiro Finale barrage/Sabrina the magic battery.
-[] Does she have anything in mind other than getting a team together?

-[]The skyscrapers and possibly stopping Walpurgis from uprooting them right from the start.
[x] Hey Homura. Do you know a girl named Sasa Yuuki?
-[x] Explain Sasa Yuuki to Homura if she doesn't. Describe the circumstances of her encounter with Oriko in that timeline.
--[x] Her powers fit the odd witch behavior. Though if she's behind it, you still have no idea why she'd go after Sayaka.
--[x] Tomorrow, you're going to see if you can locate her. If she became a magical girl... well, you'll cross that bridge when you get to it.
[x]If Homura doesn't want to talk about anything else and we're done, thank her for letting us come along. It was...nice, working with her.

A: How would we grief rend her body? She's not made of grief. Think you mean the blender.
B: Why destroy the body? We don't know if meguca deprived of their original bodies can ever have a body again. May as well keep it around. We know from canon that corpses can be maintained with magic. We could keep her body for when we release her.

Well, honestly, a body is kind of...awkward to explain away and bulky to keep track of, but yeah, good points. Plan C should probably just be 'degem her and keep the components around'.

The body thing is actually a serious problem because we're on a crash course with the Soujo twins in the near future and need a definite answer to that.

Leave em. We can reclaim them at the morgue or the graveyard and restore them later.

You pick up the rifle - it's an AR-15, you recognize. Plastic stock, of course, barely modified. You... sort of wonder how it wound up here. If you had to hesitate a guess, they probably diverted a few for their own use from larger shipments? You've no real idea.

You inspect it, turning it over in your hands before racking the charging handle and checking clear the chamber. Click the safety up, and pop the takedown pin... the lower receiver, butt, trigger, grip and all swing away. You rack the handle again, catching the bolt as it slams backwards out of the way.

A glance up -you can feel eyes on you- and you catch Homura watching you curiously. "The buffer spring's worn," she notes. "No point to it."

"Oh," you say, shrugging, and reassemble the rifle before replacing it.

I'd just like to note that rifle we disassembled now has our fingerprints on it.

That would imply you can still feel any shame over stealing vote parts. As if.

You're a professional by now. :p
Guilty as charged. :p

Added a note.

Strongly disagree with this. Autopsies are going to make problems, bodies that aren't magically protected have a dismayingly short best-by date, and we have no guarantee it won't be incinerated or something.

Better for her to just 'disappear' and us to shove the body somewhere. If she ends up in the papers as a murder victim, that's a can of worms in and of itself for us.

If we do get tracked down, we'll know our pre-awakening identity, so it might not even be a bad thing.

For all we know, we just simply flashed into existance, stumbled around for a few hours, and ended up in that alley. I don't exactly think that we have a family that's searching for us.

Precisely. If we don't have a pre-amnesia existence, we're not on record.
If we are on record, then we'll be able to confirm who we were pre-amnesia, and benefit off having a legal identity and whatnot.

I'd love to see that police report. "Someone came in and disassembled one of our illegal assault rifles, and stole most of our illegal guns"?

I mean, yeah, what would probably happen is the records would be stolen or bribed from the cops, but the mere idea...
