[X] While going about 'shopping' for weapons and cash, talk to Homura about how Sabrina understands why she's so closed off. Make it clear that she knows it's a natural response to what Homura has been through, but it's one that is narrowing her options and more to it, one that's hurting her. Let her know that Sabrina will do what she can to help her with opening back up to others.
[X] Then, unless Homura is showing signs of wanting to continue talking about that subject (which is doubtful) ask her if there's any weapons she's ever wanted to steal before, but never had the chance before because of the limits on her time-stop. Give her a big grin at this, because moar dakka is such a pleasant thought for them both.
I feel that's too much. Maybe if we can reduce it to one meaningful sentence, it might be OK?

"That's the spirit," you say.

She nods. "Shall we continue?" she asks, gesturing around the room.
Hand on shoulder. "This will be the last one."

...

"Ejem, yes, we shall."

[X] Of course.
[X] So... what exactly are you picking up anyway? Just ammo?
[X] Discretely keep an eye out for a katana. If found:

[X] Of course.
[X] Watch the pro at work. If she seems amenable to questions...
-[X] How does she do this, anyway? Does she pick up ammo only or does she just take all the guns?
[X] If you see a Katana, try some moves with it. Just make sure to not cut anything, like the rope or the Yakuzas. Mostly the rope.
[X] Ask Homura if we can pick up something for ourselves, to cover our lack of offensive options at more than 100m.
-[X] Maybe she can teach us?

My stance on Mami is that while she is an excellent partner, teacher and friend, she is ultimately still just 1 girl - connected to some important people, granted, but if we're dealing with her because fear of Madowish we should just straight deal with Madoka already.

Just that, so much of what we're trying to do dwarfs her.

And when I see insistance to let people die to avoid Mami getting bombed: I look at Sabrina and think "You've become Sakura."
Eh, why not?

It's Rin. She's holding someone. And she's crying.
"I'm sure you can do it, and quite frankly, I'm willing to pay for it," she adds.

Goddammit. You can see Rin listening to her, see how she wants to help.

"Miss Sabrina," Akiko cuts across Sabrina's little tirade.

It's part of why you want to protect her.

Akiko continues, "We would be interested in acquiring your services on a long term bas-"

Fuck. And it's going to get her killed.

Yeah, Akiko's still trying to recruit her.

...and she apparently knows Mami. Which is probably a good thing, because that means she's not on good terms with Murderface. Mami's just good. Homuhomu is hax. Especially since Sabrina is basically unlimited grief seeds.

Plus, uh, even if we successfully telegank her, do you think that's a winning argument with Rin right there? Girl has an amazing capacity for not noticing things that would disturb her, but I think even she'd have trouble with that one.

If we'd wanted to be constantly overshadowed by more powerful megucas we'd be living in Mitakihara anyway. Plus, we've already got a bleeding heart on the team, and Rin (bless her soul) isn't all self-righteous about it. Yeah, we're gonna have to lichbomb her eventually, but controlled circumstances, y'know? Masami's lasted months; she isn't going to witch out because we delayed things a little longer.

Wait, there's a Sakuraquest omake? Where?
Pretty sure he just made it up. Check the 'usernames'.

Why does this make so much sense?

... We haven't actually intentionally done anything just to make Sakura think we're a Witch, right? That was all jokes so far?

A nice sentiment, I suppose, but won't this sentence just be coming out of left field for Homura? Brain damage is only funny when it's funny, you know...

Indeed

Why does this make so much sense?
Because "witch out for superpowers" shows up every ten pages or so?

The original snippet:
"Miss Mori," you address the girl directly, her fluttering anxiety stilling to stare at you, "the important thing, I think, is that she needs your help. I'm sure you can do it, and quite frankly, I'm willing to pay for it."

"Miss Sabrina," Akiko cuts across your little tirade. "We would be interested in acquiring your services on a long term bas-"
On the other hand, Sabrina did have a roiling cloud of corruption she'd pulled from various soul gems floating around/above her at the time, and that stuff freaks people out. Especially it freaks Sakura out. While for Sabrina it's just kinda there.

Edit:
Possibly my favorite omake yet
Thanks. Didn't come up with an appropriate mangling of your handle, though.

Sabrina would be really annoying to meet in any other quest (as more than a cameo, anyway). She'd read like a cross between a Mary Sue ("she can clean grief seeds with her power, is friends with Mami and Homura, and her failure is being too dedicated to saving everyone!") and Deadpool.

And an unholy abomination. Sabrina kinda reminds of this one Worm/Cthulhu crossover fic where Taylor's power is that under her skin she has a portal to a star-strewn place between. Her costume? She basically peels off her face revealing the stars inside her. And after trying it the first couple times is completely blase about carrying her face in her pocket while a tentacle monster reaches out of where it should be and smacks people.

I'd almost forgotten about Akiko... Or at least I've been trying to forget her.:V

What are we going to do about her, assuming that she doesn't get better? If we can even do anything. We'll be heading to Sendai soon.

Let's recap, shall we?
Sabrina is a foreign looking girl with a very unusual hair color. Supposedly, she is Homura's and Madoka's daughter who knows everything, and made a wish that'd let her help everybody cause she knew exactly how the system worked, and intends to fix it. She can 1v1 almost any magical girl as long as she can actually fight them, and will befriend anyone, help anyone. Did I mention she solved the grief seed problem, hates Kyubey, and has befriended Homura, Mami, and Kyouko, while fixing their relationships...? (Kyouko Mami friendship is still in progress)

...definitely not a Mary Sue.

Yes, let's! *prepares rebuttals!*

You're totally right. Because pink, blue, and green hair are all perfectly normal. And absolutely no other character in the story has white hair.

...okay, I can't argue against any of that.

I would laugh forever if some canon facts ended up not being true in this quest, with the justification that we were intentionally given false information for a plot of some kind, and that we were actually made by QB or something.

Also, we have cause about as many problems as we have caused, one case being what happened to Akkiko after we were done with here, as well as our horrible social skills.

Seeing as how most of the behavior-related Sue-ness is down to this thread's decisions, I hereby award SufficientVelocity the Congressional Medal of Sue. And may Madokami have mercy on your souls.

This isn't true at all. There are no unusual hair colors in PMMM.
