You know, when we do get around to animating familiars, I say we do it like so:

Create a solid wall of grief. Mural on the wall. Sculpted figures of the familiars.
Stand, back to the wall...

@Ugolino: Nah, not really. None of the fourth-wall breaking characters I know are like that, at the very least; every one of them cares about the people around them while knowing that they are in a story.
Of course, Yuuka's caring might be non-intuitive from the word

Sabrina: *eyes glaze over as she stares into the distance*
Mami: "What's wrong Sabrina?"
Sabrina: *snaps back to "reality"* "Oh nothing. Just thinking about thinking. Then thinking about thinking about thinking. Then thinking about how to show my thinking about thinking."
Everyone else: *stares in confusion and vague horror*
Sabrina: "Hey, if I were to make familiars out of my grief, should I have them echo my thoughts? I already got some ideas about what to make them look like."
Also: Hilarious (and painful!) medical malpractice on Kwyjibo.

Sabrina also has perfect photographic memory of everything that she has ever experienced (plus a lot of other knowledge, including some perfect photographic memories of events that other people experienced)... but her internal algorithms for searching that memory space are imperfect so she's also rather forgetful.

Like Salty said, if I had to point out one obvious irregularity with Sabrina's thought processes, it'd be the distortion of time. Though, that could be due to her age. She may be very intelligent, but she's still quite young. A few days probably seemed like forever to you, too, when you were a week old.

"Come on, Mami. It's been over half my life since we got Oriko to surrender. Why can't we let bygones be bygones?"

Not at all. I was born early so I spent my first month in an... incubator. Oh god.

Time distortion! Useful for giving us lots of time to think things through, less useful due to causing impatience and us trying to predict the future of a conversation and failing miserably.

Is that really any less odd than the fact that Sabrina regularly pauses time for 24 hours of subjective time in order to gather her thoughts and decide what to do next? Come to think of it, this is one of Sabrina's meta-powers that we haven't mentioned to anyone, even Homura.
You say that like it's some awesome advantage.
It depends on the situation. Sabrina's unconventional decision making and perceptions can be disadvantageos when it comes to understanding her friends and approaching social situations in any kind of normal way. But when it comes to making split second decisions, especially in the chaos of a battle? Sabrina's ability to remain calm under fire and come up with plans is unparalleled.

Well we've got a day and a pretty strong vote that's unlikely to change. Let's see if we can get Sabrina to think about breaking the fourth wall

I think it'll just translate into thinking about her own thought processes, given how we've had plenty of meta conversations about the thread before, which just caused her to be conflicted or frustrated.

On the other hand, that would make them our parents. We could ask Kyubey for pocket money then.
I keep thinking of how hilarious the concept would be of Sabrina being a modified Incubator/designed by an Incubator/etc. Like, an Incubator but with emotions and actual perspective. Meanwhile, Kyubey watches the experiment unfold, utterly fascinated and confused at the same time.

What would that entrain? Talking about SV?
"Hello Me"?
Or...

"Hello Kitty"

That brings to mind "destroying one's creators/parents/mobile phone network".

Which reminds me of this freefall strip:

But yeah, it is interesting from that PoV.
