I don't even know what Sayaka has against Homura at this point. I mean she was a bit cold a couple times but then she helped save Sayaka's parents from a raging inferno. Plus the Mado/Homu ship is adorable.

I'd be pissed If I was Homura.

I think that since we've already gotten this far...might as well just bite the bullet and heal as a group with the others there and avoid the cloak and dagger nonsense.

Figure out a wording that convinces the others to do it and it's a possibility.
Uh.

Ask?

Homura will go along with it if we mention the crush over private telepathy. I don't really see why anyone else would care that Kyousuke be awake. If Sayaka/Hitomi seem like they want to be there, we can bring up the crush dealie explicitly - "FYI, people tend to be grateful to miracle-workers. You're probably better off if he doesn't know about us."

This works for me.

[x] Start walking to the hospital
[x]Try bringing her into telepathy.
[x] Maybe we should heal your arm just a bit, Hitomi? A small burst each day at lunchtime would make it heal quickly but should still be explainable.
[x] Mami? Homura? Do you want to help heal Kyouske's arm today?
[x] I kinda don't want him to know we're magical girls though, so maybe we could knock him out safely or something?
[x]If not, suggest that Hitomi and Sayaka bring up the idea of healing. He knows them better.
[x] Heal up Kyouske's arm until it's time to leave. Sayaka, Hitomi and Madoka talk to their friend.
[x]If he's awake, tell him there's just one condition for this. He needs to talk to his friends once he gets out of the hospital. That's all.

Is this supposed to work? Or is it there only to convey that we're uncomfortable with this guy we've barely met knowing about megucas?

[x]If he's awake, tell him there's just one condition for this. He needs to talk to his friends once he gets out of the hospital. That's all.
I don't think this is gonna help Hitomi and Sayaka. We need to be a lot blunter. Maybe even: "We're helping you because both Sayaka and Hitomi are crushing on you and they're sad you're stuck here". That blunt.

Okay, elaborating....but not sure we want to be quite that blunt in front of everyone.

Just talk to your friends. That's all we're asking.

Fair doos, it's a possibility then

This line's already not something to say in front of everybody. Highly suspicious.

We might need a moment alone with Kyousuke to make sure there's no misunderstandings. Liberal applications of Hammer optional.

[x]Try bringing her into telepathy.

quick question what does this line mean? Does it mean something like just trying to telepathy Hitomi, or more like try it, tell her to try it tell her about it if it fails, and ask Kyubey to "hook her up" if Hitome agrees.

The second is more what I was trying to get at.

In any case:
[X] Ugolino

Gadjo's vote was identical, right?

Uhh, just rewrote the last line somewhat, Gadjo's vote was identical to the previous draft. Think I should keep the rewrite as is or go back?

I'm rather leery of outright asking Kyubey to hook her up if a telepathic ping doesn't work.

I'm probably alone in this, but..

Is Sabrina even a human being? Nevermind that she is determined to be 'good' to an occasionally nauseating degree. Does she have any opinions/reactions to Mami being so obviously all over her all the time? Does she like it? Not like it? Is she attracted to her? Not attracted? Is she unsure/confused?

Is there anyone or anything she dislikes other than Kyubey? Does she have any flaws other than "being too good"? Doesn't she have any vices? How about insecurities more realistic than "could I have been any more good somehow"? Does she have any trigger issues? No?

Could anything drive Sabrina into a catastrophic depression? Into murderous rage (with actual murder)?

This quest has a lot of strong points, dont get me wrong. Great fights, interesting premise and story, neat OC's and powers, overall good characterization of canon characters, etc. However I find the portrayal of Sabrina to be very two dimensional and 'Sue' so far. You can be a person one hundred percent committed to doing good while still feeling like a real person, with flaws and insecurities and mistakes with real consequences that make a character feel human. I'm thinking Harry Dresden, Bruce Wayne, the heroes in Worm, hell even someone like Son Goku occasionally had moments of overblown arrogance and terrifying murderrage.

Now given that Sabrina is possibly a consequence of Madoka's wish to fix everything then maybe she's not a person to begin with and is instead some kind of super-fixer magic golem or something. Still that seems like an unsatisfying explanation and probably not what was intended

I just want to see Sabrina show other more human/flawed sides to her rather than just relentlessly munchkining down the Paragon path towards the "good ending".

We managed to have a tearful breakdown on the way back from Sendai, for one.

Frankly, reading the thread archival style you see a lot of moments when frustration boils over, but the result is ditching a patient approach rather than expressing anger. But overall, I think being more human is a work in progress, and seeing that reflected in character development has been fascinating.

Eh, rewrite looks fine. A bit verbose but whatever. As long as the point is clear.

As for the telepathy thing, eh, fair enough. I'm fine with leaving it up to Sabrina (Firn) to decide how far to go with that.

We could just say that we don't want him to recognize the three of us as "those magical girls who healed me". :V

At this rate, we might as well set Hitomi up on the Telepathic radio. As I said earlier, could be useful if she's attacked by a witch or a hostile meguca.

I don't really see an ethical way to do this. Even suggesting a means to do it 'safely' makes me uncomfortable.
Ideas?

How about...
Skip:
[] I kinda don't want him to know we're magical girls though, so maybe we could knock him out safely or sneak in and heal him tonight. Either of those sound okay?

And get this point across in a more convenient way:
[]If not, suggest that Hitomi and Sayaka bring up the idea of healing first. He knows them better.

Like this?:
[] To Sayaka and Hitomi: "I'm less comfortable with revealing magic and all that to Kyousuke, since I've barely met him at all so, can you take care of that? Tell him that magic's real, and we're helping him because he's your friend?"

And this part...
[x]If he's awake, tell him there's just one condition for this. We're healing him largely because Sayaka and Hitomi are his friends, and him being stuck here's bringing them down, so don't just forget about what your friends did for you once you get out of the hospital, okay? Just talk to your friends. That's all we're asking.
Can we ax it? It's not blunt enough for him to understand, I think, and the Reasons=Sayaya&HitomiFriends is already in the 'suggest Hitomi and Sayaka bring up heal first' part of the vote.

So why is it in the vote? Everyone else (except Homura) is going to be horrified that we even suggested it. Suggest blindfolding him instead.

Yea, that's actually a pretty good point. Suggesting it, unless clearly in jest (and even then, it is iffy) is likely to really horrify the others, and cast serious doubts in our morals, or at least damage their view of how sane we are to the point of losing a decent chunk of trustworthiness.
