I wonder how many grief orbs we have left.
A hundred or so? I'd like to keep at least 20 in reserve...

Can we just do the human hunting thing and give a slow chase? Regroup and then just follow them from afar and wait/fix the timestop. Keep them in sight while yelling at them whatever to get them to negotiate. It's not like if Kirika finally get to Oriko that they suddenly dissapear. We can find them again real soon since we know their general location.

Unless the third MG is about to intervene then nevermind.

Oriko has precog, so she'll be able to find hiding spots and whatnot that would result in them being safe. Ditto for short cuts. The problem with Pre-cogs is that every moment that passes, their chances of victory go up.(Which is why the time-stop was so dang effective - we get hours and hours to do stuff, while they...don't.) If we don't keep up the pressure, it's extremely likely that they'll be able to keep ahead of us.

...Fuck this shit. Mami, Tiro Finale EVERYTHING. I can degrief you.
War of attrition, Kirika is getting so much grief from anti-magic pulsing that eventually she'll has to stop or witch out.

one thing though. if we go after Kirika doesn't that mean that Mami goes for Oriko? might not be a good idea to let her talk to Mami, would probably freak her out about the soul gem thing just so she could get away. Not to mention other potential mind bending crap. (kyuubey, grief, witches into meguca etc)

Mami right now is feeling the full effects of a broken rib or two and a broken arm. Right now, she's taking a breather.

Oriko's got a headstart on Kirika and Kirika's got a headstart on us and we're all moving fast. Mami's nowhere - even if she manages to deal with her injuries to the extent that she wouldn't be a liability in a fight really soon, at best she'll be taking shots at extreme range.

Kirika already has a bit of a head start on us. We might be able to swing her attention her attention back to us or maybe even just distract her a little bit by saying something to her.

She does tend to flip out a bit when people make light of her crush love for Oriko...

Do we even have an exact plan for disabling Kirika or stopping her from reaching Oriko? We could try conjuring up a bunch of hammers all at once and tossing them at her and in her path.

I was thinking we use a grief barrage to slow her down. If she has to dodge bullets - or if we make pillars and walls - then that will slow her down.
Keep in mind her antimagic pulses are still going out every few seconds. The only reason the grief bullets worked on her before was because the range was point blank, and even then it was a close thing to get the attack in between the pulses.

To be honest guys, I think you're largely arguing flavor text. I mean, look at the witch fights we've participated in thus far. The voting options we're initially given are more of a way to set the tone of the witch fight instead of specified actions. While that may change somewhat during the fight, generalist votes still seem to be prevalent. If you've noticed, the witch fights seem to go alot faster this way.

The vote is to 'disable' Kirika. While it doesn't specify how, it does give Firn artistic freedom to interpret the action to his liking.

You guys vote how you want, I'm just happy we fucked up Kirika pretty good.

As long as the grief isn't being actively controlled by our magic when we're hit with a pulse, it shouldn't be disrupted. We can give our grief shape between pulses and give it velocity between pulses. After that, you can let pseudo physics kick in.

You haven't lost any Grief marbles except in the physical sense; Kirika's antimagic doesn't seem to dispel them, they just lose animation, much like Mami's ribbons do. Make o' that a hint, as you will.

You do know, however, that if you move too far from the marbles -a hundred meters- they dispel. This is something you tested waaaaaay back in that testing session before your first hunt. In this fight, you scattered a handful of Grief marbles on the floor, and fired a few of those at Kirika- they're still lying about.

Right, forgot about the posts being thoughts going through Sabrina's head. Too bad overly condensed grief isn't volatile - we could have set up a mine field that would go off if she used her anti-magic.

Oh even the compressed marbles dispel? We only saw a sphere of grief dispel. Not anything compressed like what we've been doing now.

Oh, it makes a difference, depending on a case by case basis. F'r example, had you not gone Dungeon Bypass on the Witch mangling Kyouko? There'd've been very little salvageable of her body. You'd have made it in time to recover her Soul Gem and a little part of her torso, though...

That would have been fun.

When you get far away enough, yeah. There's a coherent system behind it -there are systems behind pretty much all of this-, if anyone'd care to think about it a little.
