Yeah, We should have cut it off but hindsight is 20/20 and all that.
Im thinking we attack, keep Mami safe, and try to use our revelations like kirika's wish to try and either throw them off in combat or make them willing to negotiate.

People seem to be forgetting that Kirika's wish was different from canon. When we asked about it when we met up with Kirika earlier she said that Oriko already knew her wish.

[x] Catch Mami, keep her safe.
[x] Engage in combat
[x] "Oriko, you know what Kirika's wish was? Ever wonder why she's so different to before she made it? It's cause its screwed up her mind!"- Trying to throw them off combat or to get them more willing to negotiate.

Im thinking were not in a point where we can afford to hold back regarding the knowledge, and anything that might help make them less effective is good, and it might help with other options.

[x] Charge Kirika.

Got to stop them from regrouping, and keep Kirika off Homura and Mami (neither of whom are in any state for melee) long enough for them to subdue Oriko. Hammer has leverage and reach over claws, we should be able to keep her busy long enough (if not actually win).

[x] Catch Mami, keep her safe.
[x] Get ready to block or dodge. (Keep an eye on both Kirika and Oriko.)
[x] Ask Oriko why is she doing this, why this is all necessary.

I'll go with this. I wanted to go with Ugo, but I'll go with this.

Edit: Vote Changed.

Edit: *Sigh*

What do we actually know about Kirika's wish? We pretended to know once and it didn't work, this time it may backfire.

For all we know, she was already crazy this timeline.

I'm rather annoyed at this update. For one thing, the leading plan (leading by only one vote) started with 'ask for suggestions'. The second leading vote was basically 'discuss plans'. What happened was we asked 'any ideas' they went 'nope' and we ran off like idiots. This didn't take any of the discussion into consideration and barely did what the original said.

[x] Ask for suggestions
[x]If no new plan...
-[x]Ribbons to pull Oriko free, and in the direction down and away from the crane. Wrap up, gem removal.
-[x]If Kirika gets into the loop, top priority is to secure Oriko and freeze her again.
[x]Hello, Oriko. We need to talk.
[x]Why did you try and burn Sayaka and her family alive? Why is all this necessary? No games, just answers. Now.
[x]If no new plan...

EDIT: Additionally, I don't actually know what you mean by 'second leading vote'.

[X] Ask for suggestions.
[X] At the very least:
-[X] We need non-magical safeties:
--[X]Get actual rope and bind it to remote detonation charges. Position two such weaves with ribbons around Oriko and Kirika, each, such that they will be ensnared in it, once they enter the timestop and regain their velocity. One wrong move and Homura blows them up.
--[X] Have Homura fire a dozen sniper rounds at Oriko's arm holding Kirika. Also, use ribbons to catapult a sword at it. (Homu's gotta have one.) We will touch the bullets and the sword with ribbons to make them hit. This is how we will initially bring Oriko and Kirika into the timestop. Additionally, use a grief blade to sever the arm for further redundancy.
---[X] Once this is done, we will use ribbons to spatially separate Oriko from the now re-frozen Kirika.
[X] With a miniscule amount of grief, test what happens if we relinquish control of it next to a soul gem. Does the grief taint the soul gem or does it just diperse? If we can't just relinquish control, walk away, instead, until it is out of our control range. (I don't think we have this information, yet. It is kind of important.)
-[X] This will inform how we set up a cluster of grief marbles around Oriko and Kirika. We might not want to turn Kirika into a witch, just because she panicked and canceled our control. That would be traumatic to Mami, after all.

[X]Gauge rough 'fullness' of Kirika and Oriko's gems.
-[X]If not in danger zone, try to disperse a single Griefball into Kirika's gem. If successful, hover obscene amount around her as precaution, so that Homura knows we're taking this seriously.
[X]No Maiming.

Mecrazyfang

[X] Discuss plan of attack with Mami and Homura.
-[X] Put forth ideas: ribbon binding or limb severing or prying their hands apart with grief. Grief cage? Set up traps on the crane?
-[X] Stress the use of non-lethal force.

[X] Discuss plan of attack with Mami and Homura.
-[X] Put forth ideas: ribbon binding or limb severing or prying their hands apart with grief. Grief cage? Set up traps on the crane?
--[X] Mami, calm down, she can heal if we cut off a limb. It's not pretty but it may be our best option.
-[X] Kirika seems to be incredibly dangerous. We really want to avoid bringing her into the loop too.

Do thread posts no longer count? Even if the actual new plans didn't, we had proposed multiple things, from cutting her off at the wrist to traps to having homura snipe their arms off. There was no conversation at all, we didn't suggest anything, and Homura surely would have had a few ideas, given her experience.

Ok, let me lay it out.

Votes control actions. If it's in a vote, and circumstances do not prevent it, they will be done.

The rest of the posts turn into fluff, as they always have. Sabrina's internal thoughts and so forth. If some little actions can be done, like giving Mami a little pep talk back in that update? Then they're automatic actions. If the thread gets pissed with Oriko? Then conversation with her will be aggressive, lacking a direct vote to be diplomatic, or some such. That kind of thing.

Homura didn't suggest anything because she's never had to handle things like this before. Had she been by herself? She'd've probably packed explosives around Oriko and Kirika and blown them to bits, and done, because she's a cute little goal-oriented girl like that. However, she's here, and she's nominally following your lead - you want to interrogate Oriko, sure, but she has little to no experience with live capture, as it were. Mami, similarly, isn't exactly in the best of headspaces at the moment, despite everything - and you can take that as a freebie of a minor warning.

'If no new plan' seems pretty clear cut to me. There was no new plan.

This. Discussion. New plans. Three votes, so I suppose I miscounted somewhere.

Can I just remind people that Kirika's wish is not the Canon one, and therefore, we don't know for sure that she's any more screwy than pre-wish? More or less, our knowledge of both of these characters is irrelevant.

We had all the time we needed. And we immediately jumped into a confrontation, instead of testing ideas first. There's a time to leap in, and a time to abuse our advantages heavily...

Ugo, I'd like to point out that Oriko clearly thinks that combat is necessary. She fired the first shots, and has us in a bad way, with Homura incapable of doing more than firing wildly, and Mami plummeting to her certain agony. We're not talking her down. We can demand to know why, while smacking the shit out of her, though. I like the throw option - conditional that we can make another, as you mentioned.

Please read the latest post. Kirika and Oriko are active. The timestop isn't stopping time. Homura's shield just frizzled, Mami is falling, and Kirika is ready to start killing.

I have read the new post, which is why i was rather annoyed. I was merely pointing out that that option had three votes behind it.

Firn has stated that we know what Kirikas personality was before she wished, and her new personality does not match it. As such, we can assume its messed with her head.

Well that's a thing. What I got from that was...

- Holy shit, Kirika's reaction time there was amazing. She had a split second to bring out the anti-magic when we came out of nowhere and she pulled it off.
- Oriko was caught off guard with the timestop.
- Kirika's antimagic is a pulse. Which means she has to keep using it to get the effect she wants.
- Sabrina still has grief marbles inspite of the grief dissipating anti magic, doesn't she? Interesting.

I doubt Sabrina has a second hammer. It seems like base equipment... but might as well double check.

[x] Dive after Mami. If we can summon a second hammer, throw our first at Oriko as we drop to deter more orb casting/distract Kirika, then focus on landing.
[x] Rant.

-[x] "So what about any of this was necessary? From the moment I met you, you've done nothing but antagonize us. You target our friends. You set their homes on fire, you caused pain, suffering and maybe even death to dozens of lives! How was any of that necessary!?"
-[x] "Do you even realize what you're doing? What was the point to any of it? No matter how I look at it, that's the actions of a villain."
[x] Are you sure you want to do this Oriko?
[x] Strategy for fighting Kirika:
-[x] Pull out your grief marbles by hand but don't use your magic to control them... yet. Wait for Kirika to unleash another pulse. Once it passes, use your marbles (one or two at a time) for quick strikes in combination with your hammer.

Also guys? There is no reason Sabrina can't match Kirika in a melee game. Her trick is disruption. Other then that, her physical ability and skill as a meguca shouldn't be much better then any other newbie out there.
