Mami fought well, no disrespect to her. The gem collection was Sabrinas work though.
That's homura ability.
Kyouko's a little too lucky for being a lancer, I think. She doesn't die in every timeline, for one.
Yeah, we should probably make that clear in the vote.Kyouko's a little too lucky for being a lancer, I think. She doesn't die in every timeline, for one.
RE the spar, did we actually tell her we really want to improve our melee skills? Because I'm pretty sure that if she were to fight as per normal while we stick to our hammer she'd kick our asses so fast we wouldn't actually have time to learn anything.
Too vague for my liking.[x] No magic, just physical force.
[x] It ends when one of us is unwilling or unable to continue fighting.
[x] Don't cheat.
Agreed.
We barely had enough grief for the non-observation dome we made to read Homura's notebook. We don't have enough for whatever you're imagining.I think beating the tar out of Kyouko in the one round we don't hold back would net us some respect in a way that being pulped for all five rounds... doesn't. It makes it clear we're doing this from a position of strength. I propose 3 rounds of normal fighting followed by
"Let me show you a little of what I used to beat the Sendai girls."
and a round of unlimited grief works. Then a couple more rounds of normal sparring.
I'm not seeing how this is vague at all? We fight until someone concedes. If neither of us is willing to concede, we fight until and only until someone's disabled.Agreed.
(immobilised or pinned is fine though)
Also, we need to specify no harming of Soul Gems. Kyouko doesn't know how vital they are.
I thought we had a shit-tonne ready to go in the grief seeds? If a full clear seed can hold years worth of grief then a normal seed should give us masses of the stuff right? We barely had enough grief for the non-observation dome we made to read Homura's notebook. She is a magical hobo who got her own family killed and tends to fail to protect whoever she takes a liking to that timeline, so I'm not lucky's the word..Kyouko's a little too lucky for being a lancer, I think. She doesn't die in every timeline, for one.

No. No I don't think so. It just draws attention to the witchbomb, and I'm pretty sure we are both skilled enough that the soul gems aren't going to be in any significant danger. Kyouko doesn't know enough about the meguca system to deliberately aim for it, and we certainly won't be.Also, we need to specify no harming of Soul Gems. Kyouko doesn't know how vital they are.
She may not be that lucky, but she still doesn't have E rank luck. She is a magical hobo who got her own family killed and tends to fail to protect whoever she takes a liking to that timeline, so I'm not lucky's the word..

On another note, our grief powers creep her out, so she should be more comfortable with a good ol' melee spar.
Two hammers?... Maybe melee+minor magical effects. Why don't we start with the basic weapons and play 'who can manage to force the other one to pull out their next technique'?Do we really want to limit ourselves to just our hammer? This sounds like it's going to be a very short and very one sided beat down.
Kyoko doesn't actually have any other techniques. Limiting magic use is handicapping only ourself, which is fine for melee practice, but this was presented as a spar, not melee practice. For Kyoko's entertainment's sake we should only be restricting boring tactics. Two hammers?... Maybe melee+minor magical effects. Not entirely true, she does have the chain walls, but I suppose we did say spar. Still want that CQC training, though. Maybe defensive use would work.Kyoko doesn't actually have any other techniques. Kyouko's got... Walls. I guess that's about it. Unless we include blowing up your own soul gem.Kyoko doesn't actually have any other techniques. Kyouko's pretty good, yes. Maybe we should use non-witchy grief attacks, as normal. Kyouko will make us use our hammer after all, staying close up in our face and trying to spear us.You guys sure it's a good idea to limit solely to melee? This is a spar, not exactly practice and Kyoko looks like she needs to blow off some steam. We could at least just use grief only defensively if it matters that much.
She's also got the super spear.Kyouko's got... Walls. I guess that's about it. Unless we include blowing up you soul gem.
