How's this sound?

EDIT: B'duh, no mention of Sendai here. Uhhh, shoot. Should I cram it in somewhere and if so where?

I was expecting kyouko to be pissed but it looks like i'm underestimate kyouko emotion. And now we are a diplomat as well.

Not sure why that's bolded, but I'm just iffy about giving something we aren't perfectly sure about to someone who has next to no trust in us. The odds of something going wrong if we brief her on what it is are low, but the risk is far too high. She'll never trust us if it goes wrong and something happens to her (we won't wake up in the morning if something happens to Yuma).
We need to test the cleared grief seeds on someone. They're way too useful to simply ignore. My thoughts are that Kyouko and Yuma are ideal candidates because they live close by and we want to meet with them anyway so we can monitor their progress and handle any unexpected situations that might arise.

Note that we've already done a lot of testing on clear grief seeds. However, If you don't feel that we've done enough testing on them to be comfortable with giving them out just yet, then that's understandable. What tests do we still need to perform before we are confident enough with the conjecture that clear seeds are safe enough to hand out (with supervision)?
Test 1: Clear a grief seed completely. Result: orders of magnitude more grief than from just cleaning it. Soul inside is quiescent.
Test 2: Bring a clear seed into a Witch's labyrinth. Result: no change.
Test 3: Keep a clear seed for a prolonged period. Result: no change over the course of a few days.
Test 4: Put a clear seed next to a soul gem. Result: clear seed absorbs grief.
Test 5: Put a clear seed next to a grief seed. Result: grief seed absorbs grief.
Test 6: Put two clear seeds next to each other with different grief levels. Result: ???
Test 7: Put a clear seed next to a soul gem for a prolonged period. Result: ???
Test 8: Put an empty clear seed next to a grief seed for a prolonged period. Result: ???
Test 9: Have a meguca hold a clear seed for a prolonged period. Result: ???
Test 10: Keep a halfway filled clear seed for a prolonged period. Result: ???
Test 11: Keep a fully filled clear seed for a prolonged period. Result: ???
Test 12: Measure the amount of grief obtained from a grief seed when transformed to clear. Result: "Hundreds of basketballs" for Hildegard. others???
Test 13: Repeat the above tests with different clear seeds and grief seeds. Result: ???

Hmm, question: Is Kyouko actually angry because Kyubey hurt Mami? Because you can bet that whatever answer that we give will end up making it's way back to Kyouko, and we probably shouldn't be telling Yuma anything concrete unless we know for certain that Kyouko will be fine with telling her that.
Point.
[X] To Yuma: "Mami is my mentor and she was also Kyouko's mentor. They had a falling out a while ago, but I hope that they can be friends again eventually. I can't say for sure, but I suspect that Kyouko is angry for the same reason that I'm angry: Kyuubey hurt our friend."
[X] Ask Yuma how she has been doing and how she likes her new magical powers. It's a good thing to talk about and it should distract Kyouko a bit.
[X] Tell them that we've been experimenting with grief seeds and found that we can pull out more grief from it so that it can last a lot longer.
-[X] Warn of the danger of putting clear seeds near normal witch seeds.
-[X] Ask if they would be willing to test one for us.
--[X] If they accept, remind them that it is experimental and ask them to contact us immediately if they notice anything odd about the clear seed.
--[X] Say that we'd like to come back in a few days to check on them.
[X] Inform them about the end of the Sendai conflict.
-[X] Including the 3:2 grief seed exchange.
--[X] We need more grief seeds for experimentation. As long as the clear seeds work out, offer to trade partially full grief seeds in exchange for clear seeds at a rate of 3:2.
[X] Ask about any other magical girls in Kasamino.
[X] To Kyouko: Just in case you didn't know already...a Walpurgisnacht is going to hit Mitakihara in about three weeks. I'm not here to try and recruit you for it-especially because you have Yuma to look after-but since it might still cause a lot of damage, I thought you should know.
[X] Telepathy Yuma. Try and make sure your big sis cleanses her own gem too, okay?

We could make fun of her horrendous fashion sense.

She will respect us for having the gall to speak our minds and not be a doormat.

lol

@Baroque
I'm thinking we want to say they are or were friends and leave it at that so that Yuma can nudge Kyouko back...and throw in a grief seed as a down payment if we're going to pay lip service to "not something for nothing" since Kyouko clearly needs it. Also, tell her about Sendai?

Also, they're still eating lunch so maybe just ask how things are going/see how Yuma feels about cheese?

[]Your big sis and Mami were friends, and...I'm not completely sure.
I'm thinking more on the level of "they didn't exactly part on good terms." or something like that, but it works nonetheless. What I really want to do is to avoid conveying assumptions about what Kyouko may or may not be feeling to Yuma, because another communications break is the last thing we need right now.

She will make us finish our meal, have us step outside for a moment, deck us in the teeth, and then go back to her meal with Yuma while we lay down and wonder what the license plate number was for the firetruck that hit us.

As my edit ninja'd you earlier, where should I stick Sendai in what I've got?

Also, more generally, has Kyouko seen us empty a Grief Seed? If so, we can use up a Grief Seed and empty it out to an ordinary level before giving it to her, as a proof . . . after the meal. Kyouko's leery of our powers, so let's not ruin a perfectly good mealtime with it.

(Also, given that this is a buffet, should we make a note of watching the time? 'cause really, time flies if not treated like a watched pot.)

"I'm not sure why she's angry" also has implications we'd like to avoid.

Sendai can go anywhere, preferably before the offer. Presumably we're still watching the time as a free action?

Alright'n; on that note, revised with edits in my customary magic mint.

EDIT: Added in the give-a-seed, but putting it in the context of the combat training; offering both her paying us in combat training to soothe her 'no free lunch' worries and giving her the seed as a sign of trust felt to me kinda like it'd seem fishy.

of these options I feel I like baroque's the most in terms of dealing with koko. Boones is great with the science but I feel we aren't at a stage where kyoko would be willing to help us with the grief seed experiment at least not for a while and we need to do something similar to what baroque said here, so that we can begin to truly befriend the koko

She will make us finish our meal, have us step outside for a moment, deck us in the teeth, and then go back to her meal with Yuma while we lay down and wonder what the license plate number was for the firetruck that hit us.

as for plan ugo its good just missing a few things like sendai and i think we should really show kyoko what we are capable of.

Ninja'd and looks good voting for it

[X] Plan Baroque

The Baroque vote does kind of miss out on them actually having lunch though, and I'm rather attached to the idea of asking how they are/laying groundwork for Yuma and Nagisa playdate by asking about her thoughts on cheese. :p

Why is Kyouko angry? She's angry at Kyuubey because Kyuubey's a monster. She's angry at Mami because Mami's weakness for fuzzy creatures and friendship is what left her open to be hurt. She's angry at herself because she wasn't there for Mami and feels guilty for leaving. And she's angry at us for bringing her bad news. I'm making some educated guesses here, but I'm definitely confident enough to tell Yuma that we suspect that Kyouko is angry at Kyuubey. The anger at Mami and herself are things that we shouldn't bring up because they're personal and we don't know Kyouko and Yuma well enough at a social level yet. But the anger at Kyuubey doesn't reveal any personal issues; also it's an anger that we share and it's an explanation that should satisfy Yuma.

The thing is why she's angry is a bit of a mess and we can't really give an honest, accurate answer...and I'm not sure we should.

Maybe, but any explanation we give Yuma, she's probably gonna ask Kyouko about in the future.

It honestly feels like any concrete answer we attempt to give Yuma is one that'll get us punched in the face by an angry Koko-nut.

Has the edit I apparently ninja'd you with (regarding introducing the possible seed-gift) changed the opinion any?

nope still think its best in terms of dealing with kyoko

the levels of d'aww this would produce would be best directed toward momura, she needs it

all of that is probably true only thing is I don't think we should bring this up right now and let kyoko tell nagisa most of it otherwise it would probably feel like we are intruding on something we shouldn't.

Including "we're not sure", because it sounds pretty callous considering that we can make a pretty good guess. It's pretty Incubator-truthy. Just leave it at it being Kyoko's business.
