Nicknames for Kyouko, on the hope that I can get Sabrina to blurt one out by constantly using them.

Koko Ono
Warm Koko by the fire
The Boundless Hunger from Beyond
The Devouring Abyss
My neighbour Kokoro
Kaio-Ken-Koko
Captain Pocky (sounds like a breakfast cereal mascot)

Yes, but that's avoidable for if you have grief cleansing and friends with timestop. As it is, I'd really, really rather we didn't give them out just yet if we have a workable alternative that won't potentially cause problems since "a witch accidentally in your pocket" is kind of a major problem.
It's avoidable if you keep your clear and dark seeds in separate pockets.

[X] Ugolino

I'm personally not in favor of using Bestgirl and imouto as guinea pigs for our v.025 Prototype Long-Lasting Hazardous Emotional Waste Containers (patent pending)

If it goes wrong, grief cleansing is the only way to avoid a major problem right now. We're the only ones with grief cleansing. Regular grief seeds don't have the problems clear ones do, and since we're dropping by again soonish anyway the full seed problem doesn't apply as much.

Problem, singular. Overcome by sophisticated techniques like 'keeping it in a box'.

Re: the seed. I'd rather not rub it in that Kyouko needs the seed.

[x]Your big sis and Mami were friends. She's angry because Kyubey...hurt her.
[x]Try and get through lunch without any further trauma. Find something upbeat to talk about. Ask Yuma how she feels about cheese.
[x]Ask if Kyouko's okay.
[x]Offer a regular grief seed. We're the bearer of bad news. It's the least we can do to make up for it, and we don't actually need it for ourself. Ask to cleanse again too if it seems like she needs it.
[x]Telepathy Yuma. Try and make sure your big sis cleanses her own gem too, okay?
This vote seems to cut off the meeting without even getting to Sendai. Sure, Kyoko's not happy at the moment, but we shouldn't bail the moment she gets into a bad mood.

Yes, but why risk it?
1. Greater number of cleanses- can be countered by either giving the equivalent number of seeds or dropping by in person. Plus, we're planning to visit anyway.
2. Regular seeds will turn into witches a day after being filled- a mistake with the emptied seed has worse consequences, and we'd make a point of dropping by long before that's an issue.
3.Field testing- we know what they are, what they do, and what the problems are. Handing them out won't help fix those issues.

Adding Sendai back in, though it feels a bit clunky. The idea's to not end the conversation/meeting with this vote.

They've got a point. We'd trust her with a stick of dynamite, and I trust Homura with a nuclear warhead and battleship. I don't see that this is much different.

Sorry, the vote seemed to imply we would be leaving. If we can keep talking, then now isn't the best time for Sendai, since Kyoko seems to be far more concerned with Mami, and never gave a shit about Sendai in the first place.
Yeah, sorry, I know that was a phrasing problem. What'd you have in mind for what to accomplish with this vote?

It's giving a stick of dynamite when a box of matches would work. It's not trusting them so much as not trusting our creations to be dependable and safe at this point.
What if it's not safe? She telepathys us up, we timestop griefjet over and cleave the thing to ribbons. Unless it's actively explosive or blocks telepathy it's not really a threat.

That said, I'd rather test the things on someone we like less just in case. What about those girls nearby who got put back together by Rin.

So far as just this vote? Answer Yuma's question in a way that won't piss off Kyoko later (little kids suck at keeping secrets), and calm down Kyoko so we can finish our little status report. Offering the seed seems good, but I suspect it will piss her off unless we find a very specific way to frame it. My goal for the meeting in general is leave Kyoko more friendly with us (long term) than when we arrived, and to ask for the CQC training (in a way that makes it clear we aren't demanding it as payment for cleanses).

okay I can see why we would like to give a clear seed to the redhead, but ugo seems worried it might go wrong if kyoko places it next to regular seeds. I think we should tell her about the clear grief seed experiment while still offering her a normal one, perhaps we can get her to be our assistant or an opportunity to hire her to help spar with us. of course QB must never know what we are doing with the seeds.

[q] Let me answer your question with a song:
-[q] Put on Mami wig, spawn instruments:
~But you didn't have to cut me off~
~Make out like it never happened and that we were nothing~
~And I don't even need your love~
~But you treat me like a stranger and that feels so rough~
~No you didn't have to stoop so low~
~Have your friends collect your records and then change your number~
~I guess that I don't need that though~
~Now you're just somebody that I used to know~

[q] Avoid Kyouko's retaliatory stab - she's just jealous of your 1337-skillz.

But Yuma is a QT. Anyone else feel like giving her a pony?
"Her name is Ophelia, and she loves fish-YIKES!"

Not sure why that's bolded, but I'm just iffy about giving something we aren't perfectly sure about to someone who has next to no trust in us. The odds of something going wrong if we brief her on what it is are low, but the risk is far too high. She'll never trust us if it goes wrong and something happens to her (we won't wake up in the morning if something happens to Yuma).

I like to imagine Kyoko's murderhobo "don't waste food " tendencies and the Japanese scandal at reheated tea clash and result in complete mental gridlock.

"Big sis, what smells like burning hair?"

you now realize why Yuma knows what burning hair smells like

Maybe reiterate that we don't really need them and have been trying to help out every other meguca we've come across with cleansing?

Should we also ask them how they've been doing in general and about the hunting situation in Kasamino?

That part of the last vote seems to have been eaten between updates.

How's this edit?

Why Kyoko! Why do you have to make it so hard to become friends. Waaaaauuugh.

[] reply with Brief summary of Mami

[] allow Lunch to pass with minimal soiling of mood. Make small talk. Pontificate on cheese

[] So Kyoko. How do you feel about being paid to punch me in the face?

Intro into-combat training:

We REALLLY need to stop trying to give Kyoko things without a justifiable reason. Yes yes, we're supposed to be prioritizing her friendship, but you need to be friends before you can prioritize it.

Between emasculating her agency by swooping in to save they day, and bearing ill tidings like a diseased crow, Kyoko doesn't really have a reason to like us. Offering her Seeds, or Super Seeds, or the ability to cleanse her Jem, stinks of a temporary stopgap that's not going to endear her to us.

On the other hand, if we become punch buddies, then the association becomes one of 'the dweeb that can't hit anything with a hammer' Being a dweeb is better than being a crow. She's not going to open up to anyone other than a friend, so let's be her friend before we try.

We're trying too hard. Let's ease back and try not to Xantos Gambit ourselves off a cliff. Sabrina can carry a conversation without us mini/maxing it.

If we can have ended this conversation with Kyoko smirking honestly, then we've won today's battle

Hmm, question: Is Kyouko actually angry because Kyubey hurt Mami? Because you can bet that whatever answer that we give will end up making it's way back to Kyouko, and we probably shouldn't be telling Yuma anything concrete unless we know for certain that Kyouko will be fine with telling her that.

I...think so? Partially the Kyubey hurting Mami thing, partially her own issues/guilt/anger at Mami/that whole mess with TDS.

You think it'd be safer to just say []Your big sis and Mami were friends, and...I'm not completely sure. ?
