I'm not saying we should run ourselves ragged, I'm just saying we should pursue every opportunity to advance our understanding of our powers. Lives are hanging in the balance.
That's exactly what you said. :wtf:
I feel we should be experimenting whenever possible. Every scrap of time not dedicated to solving current issues or sleeping, if we actually need sleep, should be dedicated to experimentation.

Not sure what thoughts there are to give, as your statement is largely.... not really saying anything? The issue of psychiatric therapy has already been brought up extensively by SWB, and having an actual professional involved in that would be far more valuable than Sabrina's amateur attempts. She could probably be better at it, and it will certainly be something she needs to handle at least some of the time, but asserting that it is the single most important thing to focus on (given the grant that the warrior side is clearly not) just doesn't really make sense.
Hmm... maybe i shouldn't post when i just woke up. The only thing i have to say is no, i don't want to just completly focus one thing all the time. I'm just saying the roles are necessary. Anyway i'm not a psychiatrist or the smart guy here, so let's just drop the discussion. I leave it to the expert.

No, we shouldn't pursue it above all other immediate priorities or put it above every other aspect.
Which, interestingly enough, is not at all what cmwatford suggested.
That's exactly what you said. :wtf:
Um... Not really, though I can see some of the implication if you make certain assumptions about what is meant by "current issues".

Of course that is based on my own reading of cmwatford's statements, which is apparently very different than that of several other people here.

Understandable. The main problem, I think, is that the three roles you listed are far from the only roles we need to fill, and thus need to improve on. Further, you can't really say that any single one of them should be ignored because it's "less important".

Kittens for the Kitten God, Cuddles for the Cuddle Throne!

But really people Sabrina's (most likely) a person with needs just as much as she is a character in a quest; can we at least agree to consider her body human in terms of needs and keep that in mind as we plan, on the off chance that we're not meguca Jinzo? :V

And on the subject of human needs, I half-comedically move that we meet Kyouko over sandwiches.

...No,we aren't? There really is no situation where we need to break Mami to fix the world, and that's not a good way to approach things. Yes, some of our science is important. Vitally so, in the long term, which is why we should keep doing it.

No, we shouldn't pursue it above all other immediate priorities or put it above every other aspect of what Sabrina's doing. Any individual science session is low-priority as long as some science gets done and we make progress.

We shouldn't have to break Mami but we are more careful than we need be I think. I also don't think we should be all science. We need to have fluffy interaction and we have other important goals that need pursuing but I feel we're passing up too many opportunities for science out of fear.

Just to be clear: I'm not advocating we let Mami break or for us to become Homura. I'm saying we need to be more serious about pursuing science.

Science is something we do sometimes, not an all-consuming or even major goal in the short term. As long as some of it gets done from time to time, that's all we need. If anything, we just need to be more focused on the science that actually matters (grief seeds themselves) rather than doing more of it.

I can certainly agree with that. I didn't say anything in the previous sleep discussion, but I'd just as soon not go that route.

While I am all up for science! I just wanted to do a quick check to see if we could expand our range of control when we would be checking up on what to do and experimenting with the barrier.

something something efficiency, well to me it was a secondary matter.

Having Sabrina go ALL PRODUCTIVE SCIENCE ALL THE TIME LIVES HANG IN THE BALANCE isn't just bad for her humanity but actively antithetical to her goals because her highest moral priority is healthy social-linking, lol. This argument is stupid.
