This argument is stupid.
It's served three good purposes, at the very least.

First, momentary influx of adorable cat images (and that . . . other one). That's going to give Sabrina a nice case of warm fuzzies if nothing else will.

Second, gave me a good excuse to use the phrase 'meguca Jinzo'. Because really, when else am I going to use that phrase?

And third, I know I proposed it only half-seriously originally, but the idea of meeting Kyouko over sandwiches is seeming more and more appealing. 'cause let's face it sandwiches are good eats if you know the right place to get 'em (or, made at home, have the right ingredients to make a good one).

But what about bird. :(

Okay now i'm really stop, don't tempt me. :p

Having Sabrina go ALL PRODUCTIVE SCIENCE ALL THE TIME LIVES HANG IN THE BALANCE isn't just bad for her humanity but actively antithetical to her goals because her highest moral priority is healthy social-linking, lol. This argument is stupid.
I guess I've been operating under a very different set of priorities this whole quest then. I'm genuinely confused now. No, seriously. What?

Huh.

I've just been following the Story-only for a while. Thought I'd pop into the thread to see what's up since last time I was in here.

Things seem really hostile, I've gotta say.

See my understanding of our priorities were: Fix the system, emotional support, Golden ending. In that order. As in 'happy ending for everyone would be nice but is unrealistic'.
I'm of the opinion that everyone living and being happy on the personal level is definitely possible while system fixing is only very likely.

@Tricia
We're mostly being civil, but you're right that the argument probably needs to be put on hold.

The thread is, unfortunately, pretty much purpose-designed to get some high tempers. The GM is very hands-off due in part to sleeping when most of the thread's awake, the updates are infrequent but lengthy, so there's a perception that Every Vote Must Matter, and the stakes can frequently get very high and there's rarely a Golden Option, so when a vote doesn't solve all the problems, it'll inevitably create resentment in those who didn't win out. And to top it all off, there really aren't a lot of ways to fix this, aside from making Firn nocturnal and replacing his hands with robot super-typewriters.

This is actually a comparatively calm day.

It was actually pretty reasonable until this latest update.

Yea, there was a lot of debate during the secrets-bomb discussion and fallout, but it was civil and over things of substance.
This one was starting to get out of hand.

Thankfully, a good topic has come up, what are our goals, short and long term?

Or less formally put, what does Sabrina want to be when she grows up?

huh barrier jacket...

we should try something like that with grief, grief clothing that double as a defensive barrier and dimensional pocket. Of course we will need to consult the girls for the look, SCIENCE! yet classy

The insults just keep coming back, don't they? It does screw up the debates sometimes, but if you call them out on the insult at least, you can generally get some support.

Edit: by support I don't mean like "support group" I mean like "backup in an argument" since everyone will tell them to calm down, and they generally won't be listened to much for a little while.

Which is entirely different than the (unsupported) assertion that AuraTwilight made, which is highest moral priority.

Literally every single directive and goal the thread/Sabrina possesses ultimately feeds back into or ultimately requires Sabrina to emotionally support basically every Meguca in some way or another, because like...the psychological well-being of Magical Girls is literally the source of all their problems and also the only way to fix any of them.

We can blame Kyubey and we can change and break the system as much as we want but none of it matters unless we start putting hearts and minds back together and exalting them to a higher state of self-actualization than they ever had before.

Before she is a scientist, a warrior, messiah, magical girl, or potential apocalypse trigger, Sabrina has to be a good friend and rock of emotional stability. First and foremost. If we fail to be that, the entire rest of our plans are futile.
