-[x] Find a remote location away from the school and attempt to make a grief sphere that "blocks observation. Use magic or will grief for lighting.

[x] While doing the magic scans, make some telepathic calls.
-[x] Call Rin and check how things are going with the group and with Akiko. "Say hi to Sakura for me."

-[x] Call Kyouko and ask for a time that's convenient to meet today. There's some things you'd like to talk to her about. While you're there you can also cleanse her gem and refresh her seeds.

Wouldn't willing a Grief sphere to block observation be just as likely to involve Witch stuff as the gauntlet?

Like, why is the gauntlet an issue when the sphere isn't?
 
Hmmmmm. The Kyouko approach wording is a bit problematic...Maybe less "TIME FOR CLEANSING, RED GIRL." and more "Can we drop by? We'd still like to cleanse and have some things to talk about." or something?

And wouldn't it be better to ask for the lunch money before heading out?

Was just about to chime in about how checking our secret notebook of secrets in Mami's apartment might end badly after we just said we wanted to be more open with her. Works better after she's at school.

I agree with muramasa about not doing witch things nearby school, but thats no reason for not testing the gauntlet when doing the sphere thing

...but you're trying to will it to "block observation" right? That would push it past simply active and into Witch stuff like the gauntlet or phaser.

If all we were making was a sphere, then yes. However the way it's written (based on SWB's suggestion) implies an actual effect is being created. Along the same lines as the way the gauntlet "enhances magic", the sphere is supposed to "block observation". Maybe it doesn't need to do anything, but it's presented as something more advanced than that.
 
so we are not going to include the infinity gauntlet test when checking the book? It probably wouldn't take too long and the increased range is worth it!

...Less pointless grief science, more focusing on the objective at hand? It's really better off gone since even the notebook is a sideshow to our current main objective. Save the science for later in the day?
