[X] Confederate, develop a new position to manage the relations of the tribes
[X] Stay home, brace for trouble

[X] Integrate, bringing all under a unified structure

Continue with the pre-Kingdom government. The problem seems to stem that our Big Man is used to having control over big things while leaving the small stuff to the people while their Big Men(both the Fishers and the Traders) over see the smaller personal conflicts. Integration would allow us to do both. Our Big Man would help oversee the tribes as a whole, to see the big picture and which way to go, while their Big Men would do the micromanaging they are used to.

[X] Stay home, brace for trouble

I remain skeptical of the spirit speakers 'control' over their spirits and this conflict would give a chance to truly see if they have the spirits' ear or not. As to talking, we have too many differing values. We are barely managing with the three that we have. Better to prepare at home

[X] Remain close friends
[X] Go reason with the spirit talkers not to do something terrible

I've really enjoyed the kind society thing going on here.

I mean the spirit people might just simply end up getting themselves killed and I honestly think that's a fine out come.

There won't be big men for the other tribes, there will be only a single Big Man who will have the job of overseeing things in the three tribes, another thing is, whon will the other tribes who don't see the other members of their communities as equals deal with our "an eye for an eye" because the way i see the fishers, they are a primitive plutocracy. So will a plutocratic people accept our primitive communism?

I wonder, how many rivers feed into the lowlander plains? and if we can damn and divert them.

That action will contradict this
Gardeners of the Land
The people feel a deep connection to the land they live upon and are willing to go to extra effort to care for it and to fight for it, but are deeply distressed by deliberately disruptive activities that aren't for the long term good of the land, or the military loss of territory

the utter killing off of the flat landers would be good for the land though.

That umm, I couldn't quite parse out, so I may not be asnwering correctly.

They will no longer be Big Men, but they will continue to do the same job, micromanaging and dealing with the multiple personal problems. They would be tier of bureaucracy we need to manage such large groups.

If we integrate shouldn't that decrease our centralization? The fishing village would become our second settlement.

Increase as all major decisions for all three groups go through a single person.

We have not yet developed any form of administrative technology! Adding another administrative layer, and trying to codify laws of interaction for each member tribe, will be at the very least nearly impossible at our current tier, and unless the act of forming the confederacy is the catalyst for the development of pictograms or writing, we're going to have a really fucking hard time doing anything with concerted effort like our previous projects.

I suggest going for Confederacy then because Integration is that plus more.

Out of curiosity, what sort of Martial stat does modern day USA have?

The stats would have reset several time before then, but in numerical terms WRATH OF GOD

I have to ask, since this brings up issue. How would integration even work? Would each 'faction' just change their government and culture so that they each had a Big Man and sub-chiefs? Or would they have to adopt the sub-chiefs and leave just the one Big Man to manage all three?

Integration is that there everyone will be brought under a single system and way of doing things, all run by a central Big Man, with sub-chiefs and sub-sub-chiefs. All the communities will be governed under the same systems and major decisions need to be made by the Big Man.

One could argue that a drought will do far less damage than the mismanagement of the lowlanders.

If we can't handle Integration, it may be best to just focus on further intertwining until it happens naturally.

Based on this, I'm changing my vote to:

[X] Confederate, develop a new position to manage the relations of the tribes
[X] Stay home, brace for trouble

@Academia Nut can we call our new chief of chiefs the Car'a'carn?
