Another stupid number of doubles.

Also, you can rent the Red Banner out to the Metal Workers if you want, but this will probably trigger war with the nomads.

Sigh. Savages don't understand the concept of mercenaries. I wonder if we could somehow convince Trelli to lend them mercenaries.

Though that might end up with Trelli getting Iron. Not as bad as the nomads, but still pretty bad.

Also, how could we POSSIBLY do a Law megaproject without a nomad invasion at the start? It's our TRADITION!

[X] [Main] The Law (Iron Age)
[X] [Secondary] Enforce Justice
[X] [Secondary] Support Artisans

Ok my main thought here is to start the law, and while forming it reminding our people of it's existence and importance (hoping for good narrative combo) by displaying our governments ability to enforce it. The law and Enforce Justice
The last option is to beef up our tech a bit so we can get as far as possible with the law as we can.

It will give us a good stability buffer, more tech and hopefully a golden age as the law comes in to play (Another great narrative)

...Fuck, it has :(

Welp, Rip Sacred Forest, you will be missed.
I'll point to the section in Expand Economy which still lists Sacred Forest as max 12 Expansion, which makes me think if we get below 12 again we will get it back, and there seems to have been little disruption in the update. Like, curiously none, and I expected some...

Weird.

I really want to do this. It's worth war with the nomads to keep nomads from getting iron.

[X] [Main] The Law (Iron Age)
[X] [Free] Change Passive Policy - Defence (+1 significant walls/turn)

We need Tech for the Law.

[X] [Secondary] Support Artisans
[X] [Secondary] Proclaim Glory

[X] [Red Banner] Metal Workers
If you wanted to fight the nomads, you probably should have attacked them last turn instead of trying to bribe them.

Approval voting for the things I care about.

[X] [Secondary] Proclaim Glory
[X] [Secondary] Enforce Justice
Want Stability 3.

[X] [Free] Change Passive Policy - Defence (+1 significant walls/turn)
[X] [Free] Change Passive Policy - Special: Vassal Support (+1 Subordinate while active, increases Loyalty while active at less than full subordinates)
I prefer these to faster Infrastructure building. Though I suppose not by too much, so this isn't that much of a sticking point.

Except they're not mercenaries.
They're the kings private army that we hire out to people for political reasons usually.
At best the they're EU4 esque condottieri

That's even Worst. Nomads need bases to smelt iron, so they will settle some people; giving us stationary targets.

Trelli already have a much bigger industry and can afford to tech up; providing huge advantages against everyone to their west.

Our diplomacy on SV(for this quest especially) basically seems to work as "Do what we ask or we krump you". This is more of that. :p

A large chunk of the point of bribing them was to keep them away from Iron.

Also, that vote has passed and is kinda no longer relevant?

[X] [Main] The Law (Iron Age)
[X] [Free] Change Passive Policy - Defence (+1 significant walls/turn)

We need Tech for the Law.

Running with:
[X] [Secondary] Support Artisans
[X] [Secondary] Support Artisans x2

[Main] Support Artisans gives: -1 Econ, -4 Wealth, +5 Tech, +1 Culture, higher chance of innovations
We have plenty of wealth, so this seems like a really good deal at first glance.

Oh, Right, policy. While defense would be my next choice, before a second Infrastructure, I'd rather get in front of any potential subordinate issues.

And I agree, support artisans does look like a very good action to take. However, I'd rather let our provinces do that on Megaproject support. That is what it is there for, after all.

I'm guessing that it's in the process of disappearing. It's technically popped but there's still enough that we aren't facing any after-effects and if it goes back under the limit immediately than nothing happens.

No evidence beyond textual mind you, so don't make predictions on this.

Still, I think it's worth trying to keep it.

[X][Main] The Law (Iron Age)
[X][Secondary] Plant Hemp

[X][Secondary] Proclaim Glory
[X][Secondary] Enforce Justice

Still waiting on WoG if Enforce+Law is synergy or anti-synergy.

Approval voting for the policy still

[X][Free] Change Passive Policy - Defence (+1 significant walls/turn)
[X][Free] Change Passive Policy - Infrastructure (+1 Free Progress to an infrastructure project (Aqueduct, governor's palace, saltern, etc.)/turn)
[X][Free] Found Colony - Change Greenshore Trading Post to a Colony

UFFF how could I forget.
[X][Free] Convert Greenshore to colony

We may be able to help contain the flow of Iron by settling the north shore of the black sea.
Thanks @Athanor for the reminder.

[X] [Secondary] Support Artisans

We need Stability for Golden Age
[X] [Secondary] Proclaim Glory

We need nomads to not get iron. REALLY REALLY BADLY.

May i suggest you swap proclaim glory to another stability raiser, PG will cost us 75% of our culture.

This doesn't produce any Tech for the Law; what's your plan there?
