As a QM, I am unable to give a response that directly prevents players from doing something unwise.

Reading this thread in parallel of a complete LutD reread makes me question at which point you became irreversibly evil since the latter is so light-hearted.

Maybe our theory of EJ being the good neutral QM is wrong and he corrupted you?

Come to think of it, Team Anko was pretty dark in comparison...

I'm pretty sure that I've always been evil, but also that MfD has made me even worse.

Power corrupts. Weekly updates corrupt absolutely.

[X] Action Plan: Munch Munch Munch

Make sure Mari eats with one person accompanying her, per meal.

In order:
  • Examination
    • Hazou is to spend a significant amount of time (upwards of two hours if necessary) thinking on what Mari said, the context in which she said it, and her motivations for saying it.
    • Think particularly on what he knows of her uncle, and of Truth Lost in the Fog's 'price'.
    • His conclusions about it don't really make her actions better, but it does explain them.
    • He may not understand her, but he stands by the words he said to her.
      • After all, he'd be an awful big hypocrite to let something like that sway his care for her compared to Kagome being... well, Kagome when he first met him.
    • Have Keiko and Noburi do this independently as well
    • Do the above AGAIN together with Keiko and Noburi as a group.
      • Purpose: Get additional perspective.
      • This is important!
      • Keiko: What exactly did Mari and Hana say to you about this?
        • It's vitally important we know.
        • We won't be mad or upset, promise.
  • Talk with Hana (OPSEC OPSEC!!!)
    • Hazou will keep in mind:
      • Be considerate.
      • Hana may or may not be biased against Mari.
    • What did you say to Mari, exactly?
    • She is not currently in a state fit to perform her political duties.
      • Said duties are extremely important, and suboptimal performance on that front would not benefit Mari or the clan, in any way.
      • Note: The onus falls on Hazou to take the reigns here.
      • To reiterate:If this is some manipulation/meta-manipulation tactic, it benefits no one.
Misc:
  • Create the Vibration-Sensor seal according to the specs that Keiko suggested.
    • If there is additional time (and Kagome clears it, etc.), change it to function in a cone, such that it may be placed multiple spots on the body to keep track of enemies moving.
  • Hazou goes to the Tower:
    • Hand in Explosives Tax (if completed).
    • Check out available seal blanks/blueprints/research notes
      • Look at every single one, trace the blueprints/notes with a finger while reading.
      • Intent: Iron Nerve to memorize it all. Just in case.
      • Every seal you can (legally) get your grubby hands on .
  • Start putting into practice the Orgy Night Disinfo Campaign (as designed by Ino).
  • Give Jiraiya the package the Oyabun gave us.
  • Get an hour or two of training in with Ebisu.

@eaglejarl Would voting in a Hana interlude be acceptable given the extraordinary circumstances that is the rerelease of Lighting up the Dark?

Mari Brainstorming Session:
  • Plead for her to assists in clan business (Dinner with Sasuke, orgy fiasco, etc)
  • Mock her thought processes?

Don't let her push Hazou around. Eat with her, one person every meal. If she tries to push Hazou away too much, affect=Controlled anger. Point out that Hazou had interest in sealing long before he ever met her (just ask Hana), that he was the one who came up with Uplift as an idea, not her, and had to convince her of that, and that she's arrogant to think otherwise.

Can you add talking to Noburi and Keiko before reflecting on what Mari said, and after talking Hana to get some different perspective on things? Could help us form better arguments if we wanna fix Mari or convince Hana to undo what she did for the update after that.

I don't really agree with talking to Keiko and Noburi about what Mari said to us before Hazou figures out for himself what he thinks of it.

e:

Also, I'm not sure why we're managing Hana's feelings. I'm also not sure what the point of the conversation is if we're not going to talk about Mari's emotional state. I mean, he already knows that she's the cause of Mari's emotional state, and vaguely what she said to her.

@MMKII I get your intent, but realistically, there's no way for Hazou to navigate that conversation without talking about Mari's state. And no matter how much he tries to hide it, Hana is very likely to puzzle it out with her superior socials. I have faith in Hazou's improving social graces, but this is asking way too much of him.

I say, either be honest and straightforward at least about part of it, or just skip the conversation.

And since we promised Kei we'd talk to Hana about it...

I just can't really picture how the conversation with Hana is supposed to look according to this plan. Hana will either deflect using the same strategy she used against Keiko ("Let the adults sort out their problems.") or she'll want to know whether Mari put Hazou up for this and how. Either way, we won't get anywhere without discussing why we're bringing it up in the first place.
