Lights... Camera... ACTION!!: A Hollywood Quest

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Hi Magoose here one of the guys helping Duke.

So we have some bad news.

The quest has been canceled as duke does not want to write it anymore.

I'm going to ask if I can take over for it, because I like this quest, and it would be a shame to kill it
TBF, Mags, you have been doing a lot of the heavylifting for the quest, so this will be in good hands. :)

To be clear to everyone, this is just me burning out on imagination of the quest, since my muse has been hitting me over the head a lot with so many different ideas that I just can't find myself too interested in this.

I'll still hang out here, though, since this still does have a sepcial place in my heart.

I'd like to thank you all for making this a wonderful experience while it lasted.

I'd also like to thank @Magoose, @Fluffy_serpent, and @Martin Noctis for doing so much to help prepare and write this quest. I couldn't have done it without you all. :D

I'll see you all around.

With so many regards, Duke William Of.

what if we make 3 Undertale movies but release them 3 months from each other?
There isn't nearly enough difference between the 3 main routes to justify 3 separate films. At most, I think you could justify placing Neutral and True Pacifist into one film, and spin Genocide off into it's own film, but I wouldn't do that. They're all so integrally connected to one another, I don't think that they can work being self contained like that. The only one that can work self-contained is True Pacifist, and I already made my feelings on that known. More could be said, but overall, I don't think it's an idea that works. Particularly given your idea of a 3 monthly window in between each. You're already doing all the work all around the same time(you'd have to in order to be able to release 3 films of an animated franchise 3 months apart from each other), I don't see why you wouldn't just put them together, especially given how tied to each other each route is. I think it would take away from the experience. It's going to be a long film, but people often underestimate just how much happens in a short bit of film. I see this especially with rewrites or when people write up scripts and they say things like "It's cool, but it would be way too long." A lot of descriptive writing goes into even very short scenes given how much you have to account for. The point I'm making is that the length of playing all 3 routes is not going to be reflective of the film's length. It would definitely come out MUCH shorter given how much more quickly you can get through certain scenes and areas, and how you can cut out superfluous stuff that's necessary as a gamer but not as a viewer of a film, and other various changes that makes things run much quicker and smoother. Not to mention that even really long films work as long as you keep the pacing tight. I've watched the Lord of the Rings Trilogy Extended Edition many, many times and despite being roughly 12 hours long, it doesn't feel like it at all because the pacing is tight and you are kept engaged the whole time. You aren't having your time wasted, they just have a lot to present to you. It takes exactly that amount of time in order to tell it's complete story and you aren't treated to unnecessary bullshit.

Honeymoon Finale Turn 36 (December1974)
When you awoke, you and Carrie were both cuddling against each other, and you could feel her heartbeat match the rhythm of your own. It was one of the things that you barely had a chance to notice even before you came to Ireland.

Yet all you could do is listen to it and feel it. There was so much you loved and cared about in this… relationship.

To think that it began in a library, and her being so nervous as to think you were a soldier…

Though she was half right.

Yet even you couldn't comprehend just how much you would have affected her life, and how she would affect your own. There was so much that you didn't really understand.

But you would both have the chance to work it out together. That was what marriage was for. To figure out just how much things can change.

You didn't know what would come in the future. Hell, you didn't know what may come the next day.

Carrie woke up, and smiled, looking into your eyes.

But she was by your side, and that was going to be enough. "I love you." You whispered, leaning forward and kissing her forehead.

"I know." She whispered as she kissed you back.
-------------------------------------------------------------------

Coming home was a whirlwind, but you were surprised that Mike came to you barely when you were off the plane. Well, thankfully, it was at home. "Bruce I need your help."

There was a beat for a moment before you asked. "What happened?"

Mike paled. "Well, we have another film we need to produce now!"

"What film?" You asked. "Did Dave convince you about that-"

"No, it's an unknown that was rejected by almost everyone in Hollywood," Mike replied. "Except us."

"Who is it?" You asked.

"You'll like it, it's a boxing film, written by a fighter like you… named Stallone." He paused. "I know you have a promise that you made to George, and I'll run point on it… but I need money to get this going."

@Magoose What's going on with MASH season 4 production? Also you mentioned earlier there'd be a text section in December dedicated to one of our import distribution performances? Also when Mike is saying he's going to run point, does that mean if we say yes he'll take responsibility to George or he'll make sure Star Wars is released first and has priority in schedule?

Also, You will find out what happened with Star Wars Contract after this turn.

Ah that...

I just forgot to paste it, give me a second.

Also, MASH stuff is there.

And , Mike will produce the film, and it will come after Star Wars...

Or possibly before.

Have timeline divergences caused him to not have finished his script in a fugue state to get the money to buy his dog back? Or are things on the normal track in that regard?

Actually, the Timeline Diverged when sly became an Ameture Boxer to pay his rent. He hasn't lost his dog yet, which is good.

Unfortunately, Sly could not find anyone who wanted to produce his film, even in a market about to be over-saturated by a lot of crappy products.

So that means, his only chance to get his film made, was by coming to Lucasfilms.

We'll apologize to George, and it's not like we need to be super focused on Rocky, we can still give Star Wars our full attention.

[x]Yes (Give him 5 million dollars)

Not like we need to release Rocky first, just producing it alongside Star Wars.
I doubt Star Wars can be made with the same speed as Rocky. Different production needs, especially with how Star Wars is becoming George's baby and special effects test bed.

[x]Yes (Give him 5 million dollars)

But I do still want it though. It's just something that I expect to hit all the right spots for Bruce personally (I assume he's gonna do his due diligence first before handing the 5m).

Of course we say Yes to Rocky. Out of all of Hollywood, Sylvester Stallone is one of the most genuine and decent guys in the system and at this point in his life, he definitely deserves a lifeline to see his dream movie get made. This film speaks a lot to Bruce with tons of parallels and we need something to immediately release after Star Wars to leave our mark in the industry.

For MASH stuff, keep it focused on cast. Alan and Larry cause they're nice and easy. We got some new major and supporting characters for this season so let's make sure that Bruce vibes with them, though a bit worried on the high DC.

As for personal actions, thanks to mom and dad we'll need to talk kids with Carrie. So far the choice looks good since it's just about asking Carrie what she wants and so long as we're not an ass or against the idea entirely, I think we can come to a good outcome. Earliest I would be willing to start is after Star Wars enters post so we don't have to worry about Carrie being pregnant and undergoing stress and doing stunts.

Deal with the Union and hopefully resolve that well. For Alan Ada, I know we've failed twice before, but we've gone so close and I promise I have an Omake in the works to hopefully give that a boost. If we fail this one, then after three times we'll drop Alan and just let whatever happens happen. Since it's Christmas season, I thought it'd be nice to pour some money into the O'Reiley Foundation, expand services a little and hopefully with a high roll we can establish a large donation system. Finally George social to apologize for boosting Rocky and make sure everything is alright between us.

A tale of vengeance and the cycle of violence without being overly preachy about it. Lady Yuki is a woman on a mission; to get revenge on the three men who killed her father and brother and abused her mother before leaving her for dead. Apparently, it's based on some Japanese comic...a Manga you think they call it? Well, Japanese are hardcore if they're letting their children read that!

It doesn't try to give any message about how wrong the actions themselves are, they let the actions themselves speak about it. Lady Yuki, despite clearly being the wronged party is not completely blameless as the ending of the film shows, as her actions, justified as they are, end up only creating another would be killer who dedicates his life to her end. Despite it all, you liked the move, there's just something visceral about it that draws you in to the unapologetic violence and killing.

And you're not alone there.

The audience reacted much better to this kind of films than from previous Lucasfilm exports...well that and they want something other than Some Nights despite it being the number film of the year if not the decade! That and you've heard how some kids are basically daring themselves to go see it and stay up till the end. Guess no matter where you go and where you make films, the old adage still rings true: Violence sells, and in the movie case it sells enough to make a profit and create a bit of buzz for future projects, if not the kind of buzz Mike expected. Critics are just shouting from their high pedestals and decrying the "moral decay" of cinema, though some are at least on your side nothing how it's a movie, it's good, so just let it go.

All in all, a good haul.

A.N: I just came to me, and I had to write it. is it good enough?

Guys!

Monthy Python and the Holy Grail premiers in April of 1975, and it has no distributors for the United States! A quick visit and we may become the distributors for one of the funniest movies ever!

With a bit of luck we may be able distribute Life of Brian in 1979 nas well!

Blood on the Snow
Blood on the Snow

For Quentin Tarantino, life didn't need any kind of philosophical explanation. It didn't need one in the present, and it didn't need one in the future. Because no matter what life threw at you, there was always one constant that would forever exist: Movies.

To say he liked movies would be disservice to the word; Quentin lived movies, he loved them. He would go and watch every single one of them if he only had the money for it. As it was, whenever he had enough, he'd go for a sitting by himself instead of having to go with his mother or step-father. He loved the worlds and the raw elements they showed, he loved the stories they brought to life, and he loved how they sometimes showed life in a more realistic way than life itself.

Someday he would be making them.

That was his dream, his goal for the future, he'd already decided. Sure there may not be enough money at the moment for him to go to "Movie School" and his mother kept on telling him how stupid his scripts were at the moment and how he should abandon such "infantile" ideas before he fucked up his life.

Well fuck that shit!

He was going to be a filmmaker. He was going to be one of the best this city's ever seen, he was going to make the movies that everyone raved about, with studios making him offers and deals just for the chance.

And the movies themselves would be his teacher.

That's another reason why he went out today hoping that something else besides Some Nights was on the billboard today. He'd seen that movie already like 3 times! It was fun at first, and he liked how they were able to blend both a criticism of Hollywood life right into a musical that was sweeping the nation, but Jesus Christ just put something else already!

He arrived at the Theater closer to his home, just hoping his prayers would be answered and... Fuck, this was annoying. Some Nights still dominating, and the same re-released films from some years back! A couple of Disney ones too, but that got old the first time he saw 101 Dalmatians. What a waste of his time.

Wait though, he thought, as he saw a new poster. It was an odd one too, clearly not made in the good ol U.S. of A. A foreign film then, from Japan if the language was anything to go by.

Lady Snowblood.

Huh, well the title was intriguing, and the promise of something new was more than enough to give it a chance.

Did those men just xxxxx that woman after butchering her husband and son!?! And she's still alive?! Did she stab one of them before...Oh fucking hell!

Did she just give birth only to give her child a vengeance mission?! Fucking hell this is awesome!!!

She just killed him with an umbrella! A fucking umbrella!!

YES! Cut him in half! Leave no one live!

Damn it! She was so close, she'd killed them all just for to die like-wait...Yes, she's alive!

That movie was amazing! The story, the fights, the violence! Yes, it was everything he'd ever wanted to see in his life. It was a shame he didn't bring more money otherwise he'd be seeing it again and again!

His excitement was nearly out of control. He wanted, no needed to see this movie again. bar that, he had to know more about it, which was why he now found himself looking at the poster, memorizing everything about it, reading the parts that he could understand about it, which amounted to the Actors and actresses' names, the Title, and the distributor...

Lucasfilm Unlimited, eh?

He would certainly look out for them in the future.
