TBF, Mags, you have been doing a lot of the heavylifting for the quest, so this will be in good hands.
To be clear to everyone, this is just me burning out on imagination of the quest, since my muse has been hitting me over the head a lot with so many different ideas that I just can't find myself too interested in this.
I'll still hang out here, though, since this still does have a sepcial place in my heart.
I'd like to thank you all for making this a wonderful experience while it lasted.
I'd also like to thank @Magoose, @Fluffy_serpent, and @Martin Noctis for doing so much to help prepare and write this quest. I couldn't have done it without you all.
Would any of them be the price in any game show? I just can't get the idea out of my mind that any child whose family managed to get one would be come the coolest, and most popular, kid in school.

I had a funny thought since we own Marvel comics are we mentioned in there because i think it would be high comedy to have some one like Doctor Doom try and mess with us or something.
Btw what's our quality of animation right now. For example, are we on the level of Toy Story 1, 2, 3 or 4? Or which Gundam series are we in terms of animation quality?

I'd say across the board we're probably comparable to late 90s anime in terms of quality thanks to very friendly budgets and innovative usage of computers in animation. Magoose said when the original Gundam came out that animation would be comparable to the remastered versions and the PS2 animations as seen here: View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zirUXsLfyhg
Our average Dreamworks movie probably is comparable to peak Disney renaissance and TV is helped by HD animation so it really is far beyond anything that was made OTL.
As for Pixar, I'd say they're higher in quality here thanks to experience working on Tron and synergy with Sega and Apple, but they probably aren't ready for Toy Story yet. I wouldn't be surprised though if the film came out earlier in the 90s or late 80s.
"Tomino-San seemed to favor it, and with my approval there is nothing that he should complain about. Overall, I think we'll be able to start by next week.
"Awesome! Once more, I want to thank you Mr. Kawamori, truth be told, I didn't think I'd get the chance to work on this project."
"Please call me Shōji, we'll be working together for a while, not to mention you're already old enough to be my father. And considering that I was thinking on shelving Macross for at least a decade, you arrived at just the right time."
He truly had, and it had saved him just when he needed it. Shōji Kawamori could at the very least admit when he had made a mistake, and the biggest one so far had been when he announced he would be continuing the Macross saga when he had already finished out everything he wanted to do with it. It had been during the height of the franchise, when he had just finished the film and was seeing the returns and the adulation of the fans. At the time, he'd felt he was on top of the world, ready to tackle any challenge that may come at him, come hell or high water.
He never once thought on how long it had taken him to create the entire saga, the characters, or even the concept itself. Nor how burnt out he'd feel at the end of it as well. Even with his team on board, nothing that came out felt right as to how the entire world should have continued, and at times felt a bit too derivative to go on with.
At least the art and animation was still amazing. He'd made sure to work as much as he could on the backgrounds and the landscape for both Earth and Macross City, as well as how it would develop in the years afterwards. The designs for future Mecha warriors and Veritechs was also something he'd been proud to work into, though most of it he would have to give credit to his own staff, with their ideas making up for much of his own lack of energy.
And then came the call; a screenwriter who wished to join in the Macross project, one who was mostly freelance, though he was experienced enough to come highly recommended. Someone who on first meeting was shocked at seeing how young Shōji was. Who when speaking together, Shōji found a deep love and appreciation for anime coming from him, to the point that he was sure, if Lucasfilms had not begun the Japanese invasion, that the man in front of him would have done all he could to bring it about.
That was the kind of man Carl Macek struck you as.
The man had come up with an original idea, having seen Macross as one of a kind and having written what, after giving it a through reading, Carl felt that it was a logical and well-developed script for a new series set in the universe. Shōji could see where Carl had clearly taken some inspiration from different anime series (one came to mind specifically) yet it was also original enough that no one would ever see the connection.
And, with Shōji's own distinct animation style, along with different character designs, this could become a new chapter for the Macross franchise, just the right kind of creative storytelling that the series needed. A continuation with the next generation, long after the original had either passed away or had gone away on its way to new and different frontiers. New enemies that would come to test the human race once more, and an ending that, in many ways, would emulate Gundam and Star Wars, by having the heroes both win and lose at the same time.
Yes, this was the right path. Soon enough you could finally release the next entry in the Macross Saga... you just hope that everyone would be willing enough to accept...
Set Up: Fifteen years have passed since the war against the Zentraedi Forces. The peaceful life of the survivors of the first alien battle ends with the invasion of the Robotech Masters. They have come to Earth to reclaim the Protoculture Matrix, the power source for the mysterious Robotechnology that was discovered by mankind decades earlier when the interstellar batter-cruiser, the SDF-1 crash-landed on Macross Island.
Animation: DreamWorks Studios Series Director: Shōji Kawamori Writer: Carl Macek
Dana Sterling: She is a half-human, half-Zentraedi woman, the eldest child of Max Sterling and Miriya Sterling. Dana was left on Earth when her family traveled with the Robotech Expeditionary Force to Tirol. Unbeknownst to them, the Robotech Masters had actually left years before, and made the first attack on the Earth only 4 years later, in 2029. Dana graduated from the Robotech Military Academy in that year, and eventually became the commanding officer of the 15th Alpha Tactical Armored Corps.
Played By: Kath Soucie Alternate: Mary Kay Bergman
Bowie LaSalle: He was the son of Vince LaSalle and Jean Grant and nephew of the late Claudia LaSalle. After his parents left on the SDF-3 to attempt to reach Tirol and to negotiate with the Robotech Masters, he was put in the care of his godfather, Rolf Emerson. His father and mother would remain on active duty, far from Earth and Bowie, for the remainder of the next two wars on Earth. Bowie often resented his military background, once saying that he was a child of the military on "by default," because of his parents and godfather's backgrounds.
Played By: Dan Gilvezan Alternate: Peter Newman
Nova Satori: She is one of the highest-ranking women in the elite GMP officer and acts as Colonel Alan Fredericks aide. Part of her job is to look after the infamous 15th Alpha Tactical Armored Corps. Like Maria Crystal, she was quite different from the rambunctious Dana Sterling, taking her duties very seriously and allowing no compromises regarding protocol and regulations. She was a stickler for rules, yet lost her composure over Zor Prime, revealing military secrets during her debriefing with him.
Played By: Mary Kay Bergman Alternate: Lynne Lipton
Major General Rolf Emerson: He was Chief of Staff to the Supreme Commander of the United Earth Forces during the Second Robotech War. Emerson, and his wife Laura, were made godparents to Dana Sterling and Bowie Grant who were left under his care while their parents joined the Robotech Expeditionary Force. During the Masters's final assault on the Southern Cross, he was captured and taken prisoner alongside Marie and Dennis until the 15th Squadron arrived to rescue them.
Played By: Earl Hammond Alternate: Bob McFadden
Marie Crystal: She was the squadron leader within the Tactical Armored Space Corps. She proved to be a competent leader and fighter. She lead the returning forces from the ALUCE-1 base and saved the relief fleet from certain destruction, becoming a hero of Earth. She was injured in an attack by the Robotech Masters and was saved by Sean Phillips. She continued to fight throughout the rest of the war.
Played By: Melissa Gilbert
Zor Prime: He was a male Tirolian who was in fact a clone of the original Zor, who had been the one to discover and pioneer the Robotechnology or Robotech as it came to be known on Earth. Though the original died fighting against the corruption of the Robotech Masters, his clone would be used by said Masters in order to conquer Earth.
Played By: Steve Kramer
Angelo Dante: He was a member of the 15th Alpha Tactical Armored Corps. He was also one of the oldest, having been born six years before the start of the First Robotech War, as well as one of the wisest. He was often weary of trouble, and often did not approve of Dana's tactics of leader, especially when a second motive was present. Despite this, he was still supportive of her as a lieutenant and as a friend.
Played By: Brad Garrett
Sean Phillips: He was a highly skilled pilot of the VHT-1 Veritech Hover Tank during the Second Robotech War. He, however, was a perennial flirt, and due to his nature, was demoted to Private Second Class. He didn't have a personal problem when Dana Sterling ran things, however. Things change when he starts falling for ace pilot Marie Crystal. By the end of the war, Sean Phillips grows to be a more capable individual.
Played By: Jess Harnell
Louis "Louie" Nichols: He was a scientific genius: often being able to find the secrets to the technologies of the Robotech Masters when the head scientists in the United Earth Government could not. He began his career as a hovertank pilot in the 15th Alpha Tactical Armored Corps during the Second Robotech War, serving under Dana Sterling.
Played By: Eddie Frierson
Musica: She was one of the muses of the Robotech Masters. Their music was used to keep the clones complacent and obedient. Musica was the mistress of the Cosmic Harp. Octavia, in yellow, played a dulcimer-like instrument and Allegra, in the pink, played a stringed instrument resembling a Cello. She rebelled against her people's way of life after meeting Bowie Grant and experiencing emotions for the first time.
Played By: Tress MacNeille
Colonel Alan Fredericks: He was a Colonel in the GMP. He had a low view of Dana Sterling, and had his aide, Nova Satori, keep an eye on her. He survived the war and helped face off against the Ingvid invasion.
The Triumvirate: They are the leaders of a species of humanoids who mostly appear as triumvirates, native to Tirol, a moon of the planet Fantoma.
A.N.: Look, I know Carl Macek tends to be a divisive figure within the anime community, but I want to give him the benefit of the doubt. After all, this was the man who introduced Robotech, which was basically among the first anime I ever saw, he was the man who introduced anime to the American Community, and I'd like to think that, with the entire introduction of anime a decade earlier, that he would be more willing to work alongside it, rather than try to mish and mash other series to make something that could technically be called "new".
