Lights... Camera... ACTION!!: A Hollywood Quest

Choosing a Mansion
Choosing a Mansion:

You and Carrie were rather shocked that 5 million dollars could buy you a slice of paradise in the Hills. That shouldn't have been surprising, considering the money that you were both throwing around, however.

There was a slight problem though.

There were just so many choices… and also quite a few lots that were still undergoing development. Now you were no stranger to development, but something was rather… Off.

Well not off per se, but you were confused about how the construction companies didn't just… finish the mansions… oh wait. "Carrie, am I cursed?"

"What makes you say that?"

"I don't know, my success is balanced out with my own failings, or that of the world?" You asked.

Carrie then punished your shoulder. "You're just being paranoid."

"Yeah, maybe I am." You replied, "Well let's choose our home."

Choose your property.:

[]511 N. Maple Dr: The Dean Martin Mansion, and one of the few properties that Carrie has known intimately, though only because of its proximity to her own home. She doesn't like it, mostly because of the history surrounding it.

[]1700 Coldwater Canyon Dr: Carrie really likes this mansion, and frankly, you like it as well. Sure it was a little smaller, but what it did have was a damn fine perimeter. The walls were made of brick and concrete, although, that was mostly just to protect the job site, that was left over. But that could easily be replaced with trees, flowers, and nature. And the pool was nice. It's mostly just cozy.

[]A Development in the Hills: You have gotten a large property Lot of about 200 Acres in the city, that was meant to be for highrises and another mansion, but due to some… legal disputes with the construction company and the city of Beverly Hills. The Lot itself is already prepared, and if you find the right company, you can make your own fortress in Hollywood to raise your family.

Added Write in: []Write In: 1700 Coldwater Canyon Dr. And Hills Development, $15 Million. Carrie has a dream home you've both fallen in love with, but you also have a steal in the making of 200 acres that likely won't come again. With more than enough money to afford, buy both as a compromise. Coldwater Canyon to raise your family in quiet comfort, the Development to invest and build for whatever you wish.

[]Write in

AN: With that nat 99, you also get a chance to write in where you want to live.

But I threw in a few areas just in case.

And Now Things are True… Real Turn 35 (September 1974)
And Now Things are True… Real

You and Carrie both looked at your new home as you looked at the several… a dozen boxes that were there. While the money you had spent was clearly well spent, mostly on furnishing and planting a garden on the wall.

You both just looked at each other, and then you held Carrie's hands. "Your mother gave me permission." You replied as you took a breath. "It's almost time."

You both took a moment to look at your hands, but then there was a moment where you both seemed to have hesitation. There is something that you both wanted to say.

But Carrie spoke first. "I… thanks for choosing this one. I don't want to wait years for something to be built up."

"Well, you were rather persuasive." You replied. You then said. "Carrie, I just want to ask something."

"What is it?" She replied, raising an eyebrow in confusion.

"When I ask you this question… I just want to know. We're about to make a decision that will affect the rest of our lives… and also much more than that." You gulped, as you felt the final lingering doubts leave your mind. "Is… that something you are ready for? Because I am."

Carrie then leaned forward and placed her head on your chest, and you both embraced. Holding each other.

"I love you." Was her simple, and only answer.

"I know." You whispered.

There may be doubts between the two of you. But that was nothing you couldn't say.

But you were both together. And that was enough. That was always going to be enough.

MASH Season Three came… and Went.

But it was blazing.

Audience Reaction: D100 + 70 => 169

To say that the Audience loved it was perhaps the most daring understatement of the Century, and that was saying something that was most abjectly…

Well, you had nothing else to say, the finale was the most-watched season finale in CBS' Entire history, with almost 10 million people watching that finale. And that was on one night. Hell, Lucille managed to finagle ad time for the finale and charged a million dollars for 30-second ads. Like she knew exactly what she had and by god did she milk it for all it was worth?

Hell yeah, she did. It was the most-watched TV episode of the year and beat out several football games and Baseball games.

However, There was also heaps of Praise from almost the entire country, that found the comedy compelling. The messages within that comedy are brilliant and even sad…

And several episodes are considered the best ever made.

You were sure people were going to be all part of this season, and possibly the next one, was going to be cemented in legendary status.

And you were pretty sure that CBS was selling out millions of dollars worth of posters of stills on set.

Every one of the actors was now cemented in the legend of Hollywood and TV.

Yet… there was you… standing above all of them all, with energy, charisma… and talent.

Reward: MASH has cemented itself as the most popular show in the 70's, and that is a simple fact.

Everyone who worked on the show will always be remembered for their work.
--------------------------------------------

Critic reaction:D100 + 70 => 73

Now if only the critics were actually honest with their opinions and just said that they hated you.

They hated the show. Not because it was bad, no no no, that would have been too easy, they praised the show for all of its merits.

Except for the simple fact that you were one of its greatest parts. Hell, you became such an asset on the show, that they gave you 5% residuals of this season… which made you a million dollars a year. Perhaps even more if it continued towards this trajectory.

You knew damn well that the Emmys, or rather, the people in charge, did not like you. That was just how they were to a destructive force of nature like yourself.

Saw that they praised everyone, even begrudgingly thought your directing deserved an Emmy.

Yet didn't nominate you for anything.

Well, then… They better Hope the Goose is merciful…

Oh who were you kidding, there was not a chance in hell you were going to let this go.

You deserved a Damn Emmy.

Reward: You were not nominated for any awards. Much to your very… very terrible confusion.

You were the best dammit.

Mike… What the fuck?

You looked at several movies. "Um, Mike, is that a Godzilla film? In addition to like… lots of other Japanese Films?"

"Yes." He replied simply.

"How?" You asked.

"I'm very persuasive." He replied.

"But… but." you gawked.

"Sometimes you need to speak their language." He said.

"I do speak Japanese." You replied.

"Not what I'm talking about Bruce." He replied.

Reward:

Gain the Rights to Distribute the Following Films:
Seven Samurai
Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla.
Lone Wolf and Cub Baby Cart at the River Styx (1972)
The Hidden Fortress
Godzilla vs. Megalon
Godzilla vs. Gigan

Akira Kurasawa has expressed interest in working with LucasFilms Unlimited on a yet unknown Project… he speaks of Shakespeare in Japan.

You have no idea what that means though.

-[X]Choosing My Religion: You want to ask Carrie if she would convert to Catholicism. You only ask so that you can begin the process. DC: ??? Rolled:D100 => 85

You and Carrie met with the Bishop of LA, and it was a rather… quiet, dare you to say near mute affair. The three of you didn't talk that much, save for one simple question that had to be asked.

"This isn't a publicity stunt?" The Bishop was rather serious about the question, and it was one that warranted being asked. After all, Hollywood was always full of gossip and well… Faux everything. What is to say that Carrie wasn't doing it for clout or media attention?

That was his worry, especially with the possibility that could damage his reputation, and that of the Church.

But Carrie only told him. "It's not, I can assure you of that."

It was, a little dramatic, but that was entirely good enough for the Bishop. Then he looked to you. "Bruce, I hope you realize that this will be a task that both of you must take part in."

"I have no doubt in that." You replied as you bowed your head slightly. "Nothing in life would be worth it if it's not difficult."

Reward: Carrie and you begin a long road to see Carrie convert.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-[X]How I met Your Mother: You were waiting as Carrie walked down the Isle. This would be a fairytale, and that was never going to be any doubt. DC: 0 Rolled:D100 => 82

It was merely a dream, there was something that you could tell, because you didn't really have any place to say it. Shimmering voices shadows and a cathedral.

It was so slow, as you waited, and you were quickly seeing Carrie walk forward.

You wanted to say the words. To say anything.

And yet you awoke and only looked at her.

She was awake as well, and the mattress was still uncomfortable, as you both sat up. "Couldn't sleep?" She asked she placed a caring hand on your arm.

"Yeah." you nodded before you held her hand. "Carrie, I…"

You were quiet, petrified with fear and something more. You didn't know if you could even say the words.

"Yes." She said. "lets go back to bed."

Oh.

Reward: Carrie has agreed to marry you. In a very… nonchalant way.

Honestly, you should have seen that coming.

You both wanted this.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-[X]Making a Home: You Look at the Plans that Carrie Has. You were happy that she was taking such an interest. Now you were going to have a home. DC: 10 Rolled:D100 => 47

To think that it took less than a week to fully furnish the mansion with new furniture and set it all up for a truly… wonderful experience.

Well, that and it was honestly nice to have a bed instead of a mattress on the floor.

Reward: You have fully furnished the house.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

-[X]And Making a Family: You look at Ginger and Natalie and sighed. How the hell were you going to make those two live together? DC: 20 Rolled:D100 => 34

You didn't think you really had it in you, but you found a simple way to get those two to live together.

It was really simple. Just let them figure it out. Sure it took quite a bit of time for them to get used to each other, but the giant dog and tiny kitty were… well…

They took to each other like a dog and a cat that had known each other their entire lives. Sure Natalie was rather adamant to put up boundaries that Ginger ignored, but they seemed to respect each other.

And they realized pretty quickly that you were in charge, and while Ginger didn't listen to you that much, Natalie did. Which meant that Ginger did too.

All and all, it was nice to have some peace, when Chaos seemed to be the order of the day…

Reward: The family now knows how to live together… for the most part.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-[X]Action Directing: It seems the town has been talking about how much of a beast you are at just being a stunt person. In fact, they knew you were a student of Bruce Lee. And they think you know how to stage and block a fight? Maybe you can DC? ??? Rolled:D100 => 61

To think all it took was being snubbed by the Emmys to see some… work. It was mostly just some minor fight scenes on one of the shows that NBC was doing, you didn't know the name, but frankly, you were appalled when you first got there.

Everyone was not intense enough, they were slow and lumbering, not even trying to sell the fight.

Basically not doing their jobs. So you took it upon yourself to whip them into shape.

And it was fun too. Seeing the stunt people that were wanting to do awesome things, and those that were not even trying, and seeing them fail always made you feel better.

And by the time it was over, it was darn good.

Reward: You have directed a fight scene for some NBC show you don't know the name of.

But people are talking about you again… and taking you seriously as an action director.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

-[X] Do auditions(Movies and TV Shows): You are going to go to some of the casting calls that are in the place where you can find work in. DC: 20(Possibility of only getting a commercial or TV show job, or extra work in a low-budget film) Rolled:D100 => 42+10=52

Well now… It seems that there is something interesting on your Radar.

Heh, get it.

Well, anyway, It seems that Brooks needs you back in as a Guest star for the Mary Tyler Moore show. And he needs you now. Said he would owe you a favor.

It's going to be okay for that.

Oh, and he also said that he would pay you 50,000 dollars.

What a steal for him.

Reward: You are a guest Staring on the Mary Tyler Moore show next month.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-[X] Call your parents: You need to call mom and dad, and see how they are doing. DC: 10 (You call your parents and see what they are doing) Rolled:D100 => 81

"When is the Wedding?" It was your dad's turn to catch you off guard.

"What?" You asked, not sure about what the hell was going on.

"Debbie told us that you asked for permission," he replied as you heard the patrons from the bar cheer for you. "Quite down you bastards."

He then spoke to you. "Well, tell us?"

"Soon." You replied. "We both kinda want to wait until it's nice and legal."

"Good." He replied. "And Bruce."

"Yeah, Dad."

"I'm proud of you." He replied. "Though a bit disappointed you didn't wait… but in saying that, I'm glad you found the right woman."

"Thanks, dad."

He then laughed. "You better be careful though, your mother might raise hell and try to make sure the bouquet goes to someone she wants to see married."

You paled. "Thanks for the heads up."

Reward: You talk to your dad about what is to come.

The Emmy Backlash:D100 => 80

D100 => 93
???:
D100 => 100

You didn't think that half of everyone working in TV would stand up for you, and call out the Emmys for their bullshit.

You also didn't expect the Union to get involved.

But something told you that since the Guild got involved, there would be changes…

Or you were in deep trouble.

(Continued at the start of the next turn)

And Then, There Was Paparatzi Turn 36 (Octobor 1974)
The Mary Tyler Moore Show:D100 +5=> 97

You really think you have a knack for comedy when it comes to scripts done by other people.

That is honestly kinda a relief.

You were some guest that showed up on the show, and was delivering a stellar interview before you went crazy with certain… zingers that caused everyone to laugh. Really it was quite funny, to say the least.

Though that was honestly the best show you had ever done not called MASH.

Nothing could make this day any worse.

Reward: +60,000 dollars. You brought down the house with that one.

Poor timing... is now removed.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Are they gone?" You asked as you felt the need to peak beyond the curtains, but you handled yourself hiding beneath the window, as Carrie watched you. She was amused at the situation as you were trying to remain hidden. "Please tell me they are gone?"

"I'm not going to lie to you." She replied as Natalie sat beside her, and she was getting scratched. "You should just accept the fact that they won't leave until you at least give them something for them to feast on."

"Don't they have any sense of decency?" You asked as you closed the blinds and stood up, stretching your back. "They are on our property?"

"Believe me, Bruce, they aren't trespassing, they are on the sidewalk, and they are on public roads across the street," Carrie said as you just shook your head. "They are not trespassing, so we can't call the cops. Believe me, they know every single trick of the trade to not get into any legal trouble."

"What about Harassment?" You said. "I rather like my privacy, and they are running it."

Carrie just shrugged. "Well it could be worse, they could be following you everywhere you go."

"They do." you replied.

Carrie then frowned. "Oh great, it seems that the Emmy thing has gotten the whole city Abuzz again." She then took a breath. "Have you tried doing something like… going to another rich person's house? I know Mom can help out if you need a place to hide out."

"I'm not going to make someone else's day miserable." You replied. "Even if it's your mom."

There was a silent gaze as she just sighed. "Man up, and just tell them off, or give them what they want, then they will leave."

"I'm not going to give those scummy vultures anything that could justify their own creepiness and harassment campaign." You replied. "How do you deal with them?"

"Most of the time I have a bodyguard that is on the studio's payroll who threatens to beat the shit out of them, destroy their cameras and their notes, and tell them off." She smiled. "But we don't have one here, and if you did that, that would be assault and battery."

Dammit, you were in a rock and a Hard Place.

What do you do?:
[] Give them what they want: You are not going to be happy about it, but dammit, they forced your hand.
[]Sneak out: Well, you have a large property, and perhaps you can sneak out and call a cab.
[]Beat them up: You are not going to allow these scumbags to harass you. So, you will harass them.

A Brand New Day Begins Now Turn 36 Results (Octobor-November 1974)
-[X] Give them what they want: You are not going to be happy about it, but dammit, they forced your hand. Rolled:D100 => 97

It took you everything you had to gather your courage. Honestly, you were just going to get over it and try you're best to just get this going.

So you took a breath and remained calm, and you walked towards your car. Sure there were a lot of things that could have gone wrong, but instead, you saw that only two reporters were close to your car, trying to not keep your Falcon in, while also getting close enough to snap a picture.

Instead, you just walked over to them, both the two photographers that were sitting in the car, cameras ready, did not really know how to act, and that was something that filled you with a sense of control.

Both were utterly confused by the walk, and you were honestly, quite surprised that they were petrified about… well, everything that was happening. You knocked on the window and smiled. "Need anything lads?"

Both just stared at each other, before looking at their cameras. "Get out."

They both did, and they stood by their cars, and you could see all the others that were there seemed… petrified. Almost like you were about to burn them in an effigy. "Alright lads… what do you want?"

They traded a glance. "Uh… a picture?" the first said.

"Okay?" You then just looked at them. "You couldn't just have waited until I left home? Maybe see me in the street? When I'm at Mass?"

There was a curt wait. Before the second one spoke. "Boss has orders not to piss off the church by soliciting at the churches."

The holy ground of the seminary and the Catholic church was your sanctuary… you should have become a priest instead of an actor. The thought made you smile. "So… why are you here, instead of out and about bothering everyone else?"

"Boss has a standing bounty of 5000 for a picture of you, 20,000 if it's with Carrie." The first spat out, almost without thinking, earning a glare from you.

"That much?" You then reached into your wallet. 5 thousand dollars. "Buy yourself something nice… and tell your boss, that anyone who tries to violate my property, and privacy, will be paid off." You then took the cameras from their hands, as you opened them, and took the film from them. "And the film destroyed."

You then crumpled the film in your hand, and tore it slightly, making it useless.

Both men traded a glance. "Spread the word." You said.

Reward: Massive Critical Success. You did give them what they wanted. A small, impromptu interview with two papos.

You also basically gave a threat that any of the Poperatzi that is stupid enough would get the same offer.

And it spread like wildfire.

-[X]Distributing Deals: Since you have a Distribution Company, or rather, are one… You can meet the major movie theater companies and strike a Deal with them. Even when you had really nothing to offer them. DC: ???
--[X] Lady Snowblood Rolled:D100 => 17

Damn… you thought that after the last fluke of a film you distributed, that would be another good showing.

Then you remembered something very important.

Theaters were fully booked with many Universal and Some Nights showings for the next month.

Dammit!

Failure.
-------------------------------------------------------------

-[X]And In Comes the Shit Show: So… Are you nominated for an Emmy Now? DC:??? Rolled:D100 => 89

Huh… so you were.

Reward: The Emmys nominated you in an emergency session, fearing their credibility.

They also nominated everyone who should have been nominated for MASH.

You got a supporting actor role… but not the best director.

Alan Won that honor.

Unknown Effect on Critic Rolls in the coming year.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-[X]This is a Truly Strange Scenario: It seems that some of the other TV show stars are not happy with the current state of affairs… Including the Union. DC: ??? Rolled:D100 => 11

But they seem to be doing it without you.

Seems that, despite your reputation in this town… you were… still not the one they wanted to make the public face.

No there were other, less destructive forces that could serve to serve their meanings.

Failure.
---------------------------------------------------

-[X]How You Met Alan: Alan Ladd Jr… You never thought you would see a company man like him come to you for a favor, but here he is? DC: 45 Rolled:D100 => 33

Alan, again, did not seem to return your calls.

There was something about him trying to get things done with Steve Spielberg as a freelancer.

Failure.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-[X]The Friendship and Brotherhood of George Lucas: George wants to hang out and have fun. DC: 30
--[X] Suggest to George a fun double date with Marcia and Carrie. Rolled:D100 + 30 => 126

The dinner was at a nice fancy place that Marcia picked out, a few days before the wedding. You were all dressed well enough, though it was clear that George was uncomfortable in a suit and tie, and the shoes he wore were not… good.

He was also not comfortable with being out in such a fancy place. "Burgers couldn't have killed ya?" He asked.

"Oh come on George, you are good at this whole fine dining thing, better than I am at least?" You replied. "Besides, you just need to relax."

Marcia and Carrie were laughing at the joke that Carrie made, and the laughter was almost infectious if George's anxiety wasn't working to make it worse. "Just listen, and just enjoy some conversation."

You then gulped as you drank in Carrie. The Blue dress she wore was certainly better than others for this type of night, muted and quiet, blending in rather than sticking out.

And considering what you did, it was impossible to hide, yet now you were. The papo was searching high and low for you and Carrie, yet she and you were just… there.

They didn't see a thing, after all, who would expect some bearded wreck of a person (Poor George) having trouble relaxing, and his wife? Honestly, Carrie said that you looked like brothers, something that made George feel jittery.

Marcia and Carrie also looked… well they looked like friends that were trying to keep their friends from doing something stupid.

And knowing you and George… Well, they knew you too well. But for the wrong reasons.

However, it was the funniest time you all had in a long time. George and you reacting and trying to counterattack from the humor and plans of the girls, who were almost too much to keep up.

And also, the food just made things perfect.

Reward: Unknown Positive Effect for Everyone.

Deepen the friendship between All involved.
------------------------------------------------------------

-[X]Workout: A Healthy Mind and a Healthy Body are Key to having a good life, and you have been slacking as of late. Time to hit the workout and discipline, and perhaps, see things differently. DC: 30 Reward: You work out and feel better. Rolled:D100 + 30 => 111

Carrie Joining You:D100 + 60 => 155

Carrie was struggling to keep up with you at first in those first few weeks, it was because she was just trying so hard. After all, she was not used to the intensity of your own workouts.

You however, did not expect her to actually… try and keep up. Especially trying to run 5 miles. Every day.

Yet she did it. Every day without fail, trying to keep up with you at every opportunity.

And oh boy, did it ever pay off for her when you had strength day.

She felt more than confident to keep up with you.

She also felt much more confident in stretching… which she was clearly doing to distract you from the workout with her smile and teasing, and understanding that you were watching her.

No, it wasn't because you were distracted, not at all.

Yet you saw improvement in her time, and she could somewhat keep up with the run when you were going at a slower pace, and she really looked stronger.

Though you were clearly the stronger of the two, simply for the fact that when you did push-ups, and she decided to put her entire body weight on you while reading a book, it didn't cause any problems for you.

At all.

Reward: Modify Carries Athletic Trait, to +20.

Carrie is really happy with joining you on your workouts and is getting a lot stronger and happier on it. She also thinks that anyone telling her she is unhealthy can go to hell.

She's prepared for it.

You enjoy the challenge of staying focused during your workouts and succeeding.

Mostly.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-[X]Continue Developing Marathon Madness: You want to expand the idea and make the script idea you have even better. Rolled:D100 => 21

You didn't get as much as you want to be done on it as possible.

Well, getting married tends to distract you.

Failure.
-------------------------------------------------------------

-[X]Marry Me (Private): You are going to Marry Carrie, and it will be the best day of your life… of both you're lives. However, you are going to keep the ceremony private, for the simple fact that you want it to be your marriage, not some show. DC: 0 Rolled:D100 + 30 => 130

It was the happiest day of your life, because everyone you loved was there.

And you think that for Carrie, it was the best day of her life because it was about her, and her alone.

There were no cameras, save for the wedding photographer you hired. No outside influences could have been a strange sight or a bad thing.

Save for Mike, but he was not nearly as grumpy as you expected.

But there was no way this day would be ruined.

(Continued in: The Wedding)

The Wedding: A Fairy Tale
The Wedding: Fairy Tales

You were waiting in the church, trying your best to try and find some things to focus on, but you were not exactly doing a good job in trying to get the jitters away. That much was certain from the way the photographer was deliberately trying to avoid you.

And you were really really trying your best to look less terrified than you actually were.

"Something wrong?" John said as he stood next to you. "Look paler than usual?"

"I don't know man, just feeling like shit, and it's not getting any better." You replied.

"Rehearsal was great, and frankly, we're lucky that everyone was sober enough for the bachelor party." There was a chuckle from John as he punched your shoulder. "Come on, you got everyone here."

Then you noticed George was with a camera, and Steve was behind him, with another.

"Oh shit," you swore as you walked over to George and Steve, both men were trying to prepare themselves for the ceremony. "George, what the hell? You told me you wouldn't film anything!"

George looked at Steve and smiled. "I'm not, Steve is." He replied with a grin as Steve waved. You could see that besides the fact he looked like he slept well, he was as chipper and full of energy as ever. "The fact you got him away from that Hellhole in Martha's Vineyard was something special. He's fortunate that this was the best excuse he had… He slept for more than six hours for the first time in a few months."

Steve indeed looked like hell, he was clearly running, if not on the energy of celebration and success, and mischief, than that of a man desperately taking control of what he can. After all, you heard something rotten was going on in the state of JAWS.

And Steve looked like he needed a break. This was the only way he could get it.

It was honestly kinda sad.

"Well, just make sure none of it gets to the press." You stated. "Carrie would kill me if that happens."

"You'll get the only copies." He said. "No questions asked."

"Not even keeping any for blackmail?" You smiled.

Steve looked heartbroken than he laughed. "I know for a simple fact that George is giving me a budget for my next film, and I do not care what you do."

You sighed in relief. "Thank goodness."

You then turned back to see Cat, looking at you with a smile. "Oh my brother is getting married… and not the one I thought?" She said as she hugged you, her daughter was running around, trying to get to the cape while her husband chased after her. "How does it feel to become a married man?"

"A bit like before, only I won't feel bad about asking for sex?" You joked, which earned a laugh from Cat. "No really, it's a great feeling."

"Oh don't worry, once the honeymoon bliss period is over, it will get easier."

"Why do you say that?" You asked.

"Believe me, you'll know." She replied as she gave a hug.

When she let go, you walked towards the front where you saw your father waiting for you. "My lord, you have been waiting for quite a while."

"My sister scares me." You stated as you looked at him with a glance.

Your father laughed. "Oh her husband felt the same way. Though I'm happy that things are going. Still feeling frightened that you might screw it all up?"

"Dad, after last night's rehearsal?" You started, but there was nothing but jovial laughter from your father.

"Oh don't you start now, we've got plenty of reasons to be happy, despite screw-ups. And this role you are going to have is going to have a lot of screw-ups."

You then saw your mom waiting, and waving to you, pointing at the front to get you ready. "But those screw-ups will be the moments you remember the most." He then gave you a hug. "You'll be okay."

"Thanks dad." You whispered.
----------------------------------------------------

Todd was the one leading Carrie down the Isle, and that was probably one of the happiest smiles you had ever seen on Carrie's face that you had ever seen.

Clad in all white, in a traditional Veil, Carrie slowly walked down the aisle, with every step matching with your heart beat, a slow methodical step that was ever entrancing in your heart.

She was trying to hid her gaze at you, as if she was waiting for the right moment to do anything more.

Todd than walked behind her, carefully watching you, than his mom as you focused entirely on Carrie.

You were quiet, thoughtful, and waiting for everything to be done.

And you moved the veil up. "Hello princess." You smiled, whispering as the priest, who had seen this before, only continued unabated. He knew that he was going to get some romantic things, but everything was going to be alright.

She smiled as she looked at you with a gaze that only you could share with her. Everything else didn't matter.

But you did have one last thing to say.

"Carrie Fisher, do you take Bruce O'Brian to be your husband? In sickness and in health, till death do you part?"

"I do." She whispered.

"Bruce O'Brian, do you take Carrie Fisher to be your wife? In sickness and in health, till death do you part?"

"I do." You replied, in the same soft tone as Carrie.

The priest continued speaking, but you both held each other's hand. This was your journey together now.

"You may kiss the bride." The priest said.

And you did.

And you and Carrier were going to do you're best, in all the goodness of life.

Reward: Carrie Fisher is now Carrie O'Brian. You're lawfully married, and wedded wife.

Honeymoon 1
Honeymoon 1:

You and Carrie were snuggling close as you awoke to the sound of the Irish countryside waking for the morning. You had never really been one to forget the old country like others did when they moved to America, like your sister and brother. It was why you still tried to speak Gallic at every opportunity and there was always something about the near undiluted.

Ireland was the most beautiful gem of all of Europe, even one that was scarred by conquest, of its troubled past… and much uncertain future.

"Wake up sleepy head," Cat said as she peeked in from the door. "You said you were making breakfast."

"I said that for Sunday, it's Saturday." You shot back as Carrie squeezed you tighter, as you knew she was awake, and just waiting for your sister to go away. "So leave me be."

There was a quiet moment as Cat rolled her eyes. "I said you two could stay as long as you didn't make a mess. Don't make me regret it."

"What mess do you refer to?" You smiled as Carrie nuzzled under your chin.

Cat then walked away, shutting the door behind her.

You then kissed Carrie's forehead. "We can keep on going if you want?" you could see a scarlet color appear on her face as she looked up, as her hands traced your muscles across your chest and torso."But I think Ireland has some places of beauty that might even match you?"

"Bruce-." She said your name softly, then looked up at your face before she kissed you, and you returned the vigor, tasting her lips before you parted.

"Yes?" You asked as your hand trailed down underneath the sheets.

Carrie gasped for a moment, liking where you touched before her hands pulled yours up, to hold them close. "I think I like it here. Hard to lose any beauty contest to your homeland if you don't get out of bed?"

"But I think you would enjoy it more, because this gets rather boring after a while, with books, and sunrises, and family…" You teased.

"But not you." She whispered as she looked at you. "I must be the luckiest woman alive."

"That's my line." You whispered in her ear, as you both enjoyed another makeout session. It wasn't nearly as lazy as the first kiss was, but it was by far the most passionate you had had in these few moments.

When you both parted ways, you just sighed. "You're making a very convincing argument, but I think that Cat wouldn't like us to remain in bed the entire honeymoon?"

Carrie chuckled. "What's she going to do? Interrupt us?"

You then sighed. "I still think we should go out though. Show you why I love this home I have."

What do you do?:
[]Write in (I open this up for you, for a simple fact, I just couldn't come up with many compelling options)
[]Remain in Bed: Carrie wants to do what you've been doing for the past two nights. And honestly, you don't blame her.

AN: Enjoy.

Honeymoon 2
Honeymoon 2:

[] Go for a hike, and see the beauty of Ireland

The countryside was beautiful, and much of the farmland had not been drenched by fog, dew or the chance showers that had occurred for the last few days. It was a dry and simple day, warm, but not uncomfortable, and even when you walked, you were happy to see such greenery.

Carrie however, was sneezing. "It's cold." She complained as she sneezed again.

She was surprised that you were not wearing a jacket, only wearing a T-shirt and shorts. Something she was clearly not expecting. "Well Carrie, if you wanted to stay warm, you should have run faster!" You smiled as she caught up. "Then you would feel better."

Carrie pouted. "But I don't want to run, I want to take it in."

You looked and pointed at the great green that was around you, and all you were truly see. You took a deep breath and smelled the air. It was crisp, and clean and smelled of mint that was growing in another field. "You can, and you will, but sometimes you have to get the blood pumping." You then swooped her off her feet. "You know I could use a bit more of a challenge?"

Carrie blushed. "Stop Bruce, you don't need to do that." She was enjoying it though, as her arms embraced around your neck. "Put me down!"

But you did not, as you walked forward down the trail. "You wanted to see the beauty of my homeland. Well, what do you think?"

Carrie looked away. "Lots of green, and lots of fields and lots of nature."

"Indeed." You whispered as Carrie pulled closer, making it slightly easier for you to move with her in your arms. "And do you want to know why I love it?"

"Why?" She asked.

"Because it helped me become who I am." You whispered.

Carrie than smiled. "And I like that."

She nuzzled into your neck at that. The Beauty of Ireland was eternal.

But it never had a chance against Carrie.
----------------------------------------------

When you got home, you knew that the Honeymoon was going to get strange.

And steamy if you and Carrie would have anything to say about it.

However, what surprised you when you reached Cat's home was a surprise.

Well, not a surprise, but a note from her.

"Went to Uncles for the Weekend. Don't leave the house a mess when we get back."

Carrie and you both looked at each other, and you could see the mischievous smile that she had.

Do you give into the urges?
[]Yes
[]No

Honeymoon Finale Turn 36 (December1974)
When you awoke, you and Carrie were both cuddling against each other, and you could feel her heartbeat match the rhythm of your own. It was one of the things that you barely had a chance to notice even before you came to Ireland.

Yet all you could do is listen to it and feel it. There was so much you loved and cared about in this… relationship.

To think that it began in a library, and her being so nervous as to think you were a soldier…

Though she was half right.

Yet even you couldn't comprehend just how much you would have affected her life, and how she would affect your own. There was so much that you didn't really understand.

But you would both have the chance to work it out together. That was what marriage was for. To figure out just how much things can change.

You didn't know what would come in the future. Hell, you didn't know what may come the next day.

Carrie woke up, and smiled, looking into your eyes.

But she was by your side, and that was going to be enough. "I love you." You whispered, leaning forward and kissing her forehead.

"I know." She whispered as she kissed you back.
-------------------------------------------------------------------

Coming home was a whirlwind, but you were surprised that Mike came to you barely when you were off the plane. Well, thankfully, it was at home. "Bruce I need your help."

There was a beat for a moment before you asked. "What happened?"

Mike paled. "Well, we have another film we need to produce now!"

"What film?" You asked. "Did Dave convince you about that-"

"No, it's an unknown that was rejected by almost everyone in Hollywood," Mike replied. "Except us."

"Who is it?" You asked.

"You'll like it, it's a boxing film, written by a fighter like you… named Stallone." He paused. "I know you have a promise that you made to George, and I'll run point on it… but I need money to get this going."

Do you give him the money he needs?:

[]Yes (Give him 5 million dollars)

[]No (You made a Promise to George to make Star Wars First)

-[X]Alan's Additional Awesomeness: You and Alan are going to have a good time working with Alan DC: 20 Rolled:D100 => 26

-[X]The New People in Camp: So there are new people in Camp, that is going to be awesome. DC: 50 Rolled:D100 => 14

Most of everyone who joined the crew was a little uncomfortable. After all, most had only ever heard about you in rumor and speculation.

And especially since you were huge. Most people just didn't fathom that on camera, but being next to you, being so tall was something that caught them off guard. And the fact you almost disarmed everyone with a cheerful smile, only added a sense of… confusion.

They will come around eventually.

Failure.

-[X]The Company Clerk of Larry Linville: The Veteran TV Actor is someone you know precious little about. He thinks that the dimensions of the character he played fit well into a comedy. Maybe a pep talk might work? DC: 10 Rolled:D100 => 84

Larry had one last episode in the season on his contract, and he was going to make the most of it.

You were too.

So you both just wanted to leave everything funny for the celluloid.

Reward: Larry gets one last episode.

And it will be a good one.

-[X]A Hope and a Heart: You and Carrie both look at each other, and then to the letter. So… Mom and Dad are expecting Grand Children… What did Carrie Want? DC: ??? Rolled:D100 + 30 => 123

Carrie was blushing from the embarrassment of the whole situation. "I didn't know your parents would be so lewd with their assertions… and desires."

You frowned and sighed before you looked at Carrie. "Ah, don't worry about it. After Cat got married, she was bombarded by so many letters that she changed addresses just so that she couldn't see them anymore. They can get worse."

Carrie did not seem so surprised. "I really don't understand why they would do something like that. Why are they so adamant about having grandkids to spoil?"

That made you sigh. "Oh… they didn't tell you?"

Carrie seemed confused. "About what?"

There was a tense moment as you dove back into the recesses of your mind and memories, trying to come up with a simple way to explain. "My parents tried having more children before me… and that… wasn't successful." You gulped remembering all the stories that your mother told you, about her hard pregnancies and how so many of her children were dead stillborn, or miscarried.

How each one was as traumatic as the last. "After they had me, my father and she chose to not try to have any more children. She had suffered too much to try to have the pain of trying again."

"Oh." Carrie seemed to take it in. "I… Hope she understands that-"

"Oh she understands, more than you realize." You said, quietly. "And that's our choice to make… and yours in the end."

Both of you just sat there, quietly. "I think we should wait." She finally broke the silence of uncomfortableness that had set down upon you. "Maybe a little while. A year or two." She paused. "A selfish thing to say."

"Why would you say that is selfish?" You asked. "We're the ones who make that choice, not them."

There was a small sigh, a huff. "I just want another year or two, wanna be able to work." She was trying to come up with reasons. "Maybe it's just because I'm not ready yet."

You nodded. "Then we'll wait until you are ready Carrie."

The hug was expected. But you both had your answer.

Reward: You and Carrie made the mature decision to wait to have kids, until you both were ready.

Carrie will come to you when she is ready.

Your parents will understand.

-[X]I am not Entertained: So… The Union has some interesting things to say about you? DC: ??? Rolled:D100 => 20

"Bruce O'Brian is everything wrong with young actors in Hollywood today. He is self-entitled and destructive, willing to place himself before the industry because he wants to make a quick buck and get parts he arrogantly believes he deserves.-"

That was an excerpt from some dishrag of Gossip magazine that was from one of the Studio heads of Universal, bashing you.

And oh boy was the union being absolute shit, as usual.

Seems they were all using you as a scapegoat, or at the very least a convenient idea where they can negotiate around and show them what was wrong with this system.

However, it may have made the Union look good…

But it would make you look worse.

Failure.

Seems that as much as they want to use you as a head for something… it seems to be a scapegoat idea.

At least making you take the brunt of the whole thing…

Bastards.

-[X]How You Met Alan: Alan Ladd Jr… You never thought you would see a company man like him come to you for a favor, but here he is? DC: 45 Rolled:D100 => 43 (Autopass)

Alan was waiting in some nice-looking restaurant, dressed for business, and you were slightly underdressed, as you didn't want to wear a tie. "Alright Alan, I'm here." You said as you sat down across from him. "So, mind explaining why you ignored me for several months?"

"Business." He stated. "There were also some things I had to do."

"Well, talk to me about it?" you asked.

"Have you really thought you were going to make a shake-up without having over a hundred films? With only a few directors and actors that have ideas, when they have more money than you by tenfold?"

"You make it sound like it's impossible to fight it alone?" You smirked. "What are you proposing, we make some Rebel Alliance to bring the whole thing down?" You knew he would not understand, but it was funny to use it as a reference. Soon he would… They all would.

Alan was ever blunt in his assessment. "Yes. Quite simply, some of the movies that I intend to produce, as well, need distributors. And I burned too many bridges to go back groveling to my old bosses."

You then smiled. "You're going to have to talk to Mike… but he'll do it."

That made Alan Pale. "Mike Eisner?"

"Yeah. Him." You replied.

That made Alan Laugh. "You know what, I should have expected that."

Reward: You have made Contact with Alan Ladd Jr. And it turns out he's producing several films that need a distributor.

And he came to you.

He also informed you of his little plan to build up a huge network of new Hollywood that will work together.

Mike is going to sort out the details, but something tells you that these films will be something.

--[X]O'Reilly Foundation. $10 Million. Rolled:D100 => 100

While you were not directly involved with it, the money you gave to your foundation was something that you were going to be happy with.

It was Christmas.

And you think everyone deserved to have something special, whether it be a gift under the tree, a good meal…

Or just being able to get to their families for the holiday. And a lot of those vets were unable to do so.

So you did.

And it was a smashing success. Every person you tried to help with the foundation had a great feast. Gifts for their children or their spouse…

And being able to get them home for the holidays.

Some of them even called you some embarrassing nicknames.

Reward: You endeavored to help Veterans for the holidays.

And you did. With an almost scary efficiency.

-[X]The Friendship and Brotherhood of George Lucas: George wants to hang out and have fun. DC: 30 Rolled:D100 => 95

You and George were both sitting eating lunch, trying to get over the jitters. Both of you knew what you were doing. Both of you knew what you were going to talk about again. You wanted to make sure that things were going to be alright.

"Not having any second thoughts?" You said as you looked at the lunch you had, it was just a sandwich. But it was appetizing.

George looked at you and took a moment to sniffle. "No."

He was still having doubts. "George, remember when we said that we wanted to distribute it ourselves? That we didn't want to get screwed over by the people who wanted our art to be something different than we wanted." There was a snort, and George nodded.

"Well, this is just the other unfortunate side of having the ability to do whatever the hell we want." You smiled as you looked at the sandwich. "We gotta keep the gravy train going, and that means making more films. Even though it's going against that promise."

"Don't need to remind me." George stated. "Just… thanks, I needed to be reminded that It's not me that I need to worry about."

"Don't mention it."

Reward: George is on board with the whole plan now.

He knows that it's for his company now, not just because Mike needed something to work on.
