Lights... Camera... ACTION!!: A Hollywood Quest

The Reward For Alan's Deal
As long as Alan LAdd Jr is a partner for Lucas Films, you have gained the following rewards:

Production within the US is significantly cheaper, meaning that when you give a budget, more money will be spent on other things, like VFX or actors' salaries. It also gives a roll bonus to hiring actors by +20.

Bruce can now, without any roll maluses, work on several movies at the same time. (But they must be filmed in the same country)

All Script Rolls will have a +20 to their rolls.

If Alan Ladd is a Producer on a film, suffer no production penalties.

-[X]Post Production (The Battles That George Planned): "George… How Many Battles did you have ILM create?" DC: 40 Rolled: D100 => 9
George looked up from his haze, and you saw him and Marcia looking… Well, looking like they were seeing so many things going wrong. "I can't believe I filmed this." He swore as he saw you. "Hey, Bruce."

"Uh George, is now not a good time?" You asked as you saw both of them looking almost… run down and ragged. "I can come back when-"

"I think now might not be a good time," George said. "Um, tell Dave that I need my notebook back. And tell Mike we need to reschedule the meeting with the theater people, We are trying to get as many screens as possible in America."

"Okay. But George, I do need to talk to you about the space battles you had planned, we need to narrow them down-?"

"We have plenty of time for those, once I cut out all the chaff." He said as he coughed. "I'm a fucking idiot. Filming all these scenes, Steve would have laughed at me with how much time and money I spent, wasted on scenes that we don't even need!"

Marcia looked up and walked over to you. "George is busy right now, and I'm trying to tell him that I think I found a way to make the movie better. But he's… not taking some of it well."

"How long is the cut you have now?" You asked.

"Almost 3 hours, and that's not including the space battles." She said.

Okay. "Alright, just… we need to get those done and to ILM sooner rather than later."

MArvia gave a wave and you left.

Failure. George is… well he's being too hard on himself right now about all he did.

He'll get over it.

-[X]Post Production (The Music): John Williams was a master. You just want to know just how much of a master he was DC: 0 Rolled:D100 => 95

Holy shit.

You have never heard such… masterful composition in your life!

This was going to win some Oscars!

Reward: The Final Music is composed and made.

It will add an unknown amount of bonus to the Audience and Critic Roll.

-[X]Recovery: You and Carrie are going to do everything possible to make Debbie Feel safe and at home. DC: 10 Rolled:D100 + 30 => 98

It started with something that was honestly… just as simple as watching TV.

You gathered yourselves together onto the couch with popcorn and food, and soda and all just prepared to Watch the Season premiere of MASH. "You know, we don't do this enough," Debbie said with a smile as she curled up into her daughter as you put your feet up. "We never just spend time together."

"We can change that." You whispered as you turned down the volume as the commercial came on. "You just have to ask."

"Oh, I don't mean like that." She said. "But I just want to find more time for all of you. We all move and become more distant. Not you two, but me. I've been soo… far away from all of you, that it's my fault."

"It wasn't you're fault," Carrie replied. It was hard for her to say those words, even after all she had said. She was trying to forgive herself for the words she said to her mother. "It was the bad people who hurt you."

Debbie smiled. "Well, if there is any consolation, hopefully, Universal will see how I look and start having second thoughts."

"I hope not, then you'd be out of work." You replied. "And I think Broadway is a little too low for your talents."

"Oh don't be so modest. I think this town is going to hell and a handbasket, and I think it might be good for me. I've met with a curator at LACMA… They want to put part of my collection on display. 'History of Hollywood with Debbie Reynolds' They call it." She smiled. "It would be less stressful to have them there, than it is to keep them here."

You only looked at Carrie and Debbie. "I think that it would be good. Let the world see it." You smiled.

And you all enjoyed MASH, that night, and all the nights for the next week.

Reward: Debbie has made a full recovery.

She is pondering taking a leave of absence from Showbiz, for not only her collection but also because she no longer recognizes the city.

But if she does not leave, expect her to fight tooth and nail to be out of her contract.

-[X]Finding the Lost Memorabilia: Someone stole from Debbie… you are going to get it back. DC: ??? Rolled:D100 => 92+30=122

You looked at Todd and saw him prepare to leave the house. "Where are you going, Todd."

"None of your business Bruce." He tried to move past you, but instead, he was stopped by you. "I-"

"Listen, I know you, what are you doing?" you demanded. "Because I know you are going to do something stupid."

"I heard a rumor that there is an underground auction tonight. Really illegal stuff." He stated. "And almost all the pieces of Moms Collection are there."

"And where did you get that information?" You demanded something that made you soften your tone and your mind began to make a plan.

"I asked around." He said defectively.

"Todd." you growled, not liking that he was going behind your back.

"Okay, I went to a sex club, one of the illegal ones, and listened for information, one got drunk and… talked after I paid for his whiskey." He stated. "Said If I had money to burn, they would be selling all of the Movie Bitches collection."

You began seeing red. "Where?"

"In one of the Warehouses by the Port." He replied. "Said that it was going to see lots of people there."

You walked over to the phone. "Keep talking." You demanded as you began to dial the detective's number.

"Bruce, I don't think that-"

"Have faith for once, it's what I do." You said. "Detective Cole, Bruce O'Brian… How would you like a break to make your career." You waited and nodded. "Warehouses at the Port will be holding an illegal auction of movie Memorabilia and other… matters of illegality." You turned to Todd. "How many people?"

"Uh… Two hundred at least. And some of them might be armed if the guy I talked to is anything to go by."

You nodded. "Two hundred… You think Port Authority and LAPD will bring enough to stop them."

There was a single phrase before he hung up. "LA is looking for some payback for Miss Reynolds. How did you get this info?" He asked.

"A very trusted source." You stated. "Just keep my name out of it."

"Who… I heard nothing of a name. Just a concerned citizen." Cole replied before he hung up.

Well, you were sure
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"A Daring Raid by the Los Angeles police department this evening, with over two hundred suspects arrested in illegal smuggling, drug trafficking, and illegal weapons, including the entire collection that was recently stolen from Actress Debbie Reynolds, who was shot in her La Mansion earlier last month. The detective in charge, LAPD Detective Cole, who orchestrated the raid, had-"

You and Todd looked at each other before you looked at the TV. "Holy shit." Todd exclaimed. "Didn't know LAPD was out for blood."

"Well, I can safely say her collection has now increased in value by tenfold." You snarked, trying to wonder just what the hell Cole said to his bosses that managed to get the entire LAPD onto that.

Reward: The Memorabilia collection has been returned. All accounted for.

Todd has… been scolded for his stupidity. But also rewarded by you.

LAPD was out for blood when they arrested every single person there. Without a single shot being fired.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-[X]Let Mike Work: You will give Mike a Freehand to do what he wants to make money. DC: 0 (An action will be Chosen from the list of actions. Shenanigans may ensure) Rolled:D100 => 96

You looked at Mike and almost gagged. "What the fuck!"

"You asked me to get this movie into theaters, so I did." He stated. "And why would I make it any wrong by just… Asking some friends to say it's going to be the biggest hit in the world?"

"We don't even have a trailer yet!" You said. "What did you show them to get to listen to that?"

Mike then looked at the poster. "Guess?"

You looked at Ralphs poster. "What… no, a single poster isn't going to save us!"

"No not that Bruce, I'm not that stupid… By the way, I promised them a Trailer by Christmas." He smiled.

"WHAT!"

Reward: Mike has sold most American movie theater chains that Star Wars will cause so much buzz that it might scare the rest of Hollywood into paying attention.

Also, you need a trailer by Christmas, or bad things might happen.

Oh and if you succeed… Well… Good things will happen
--------------------------------------------------

A Happy Time And a Great Time Turn 39 September 1975
MASH SP:

Bruce O'Brian SP:D100 + 60 => 127

You were going to be honest. Compared to Star Wars, you think you were having an off Season. That much could be laid squarely at the strike and many of the episodes that involved you, Alan, and the rest of the cast had to be cut short or were only made for one episode or even less.

Though the strike was over, and the fact that Lucille was trying her best to save the show that was printing more money than anything else on TV right now, made you realize just how much she liked you, and how much you were going to be as an actor.

Frankly, the show was big and still was, and it was even a half-season, you gave it you're all.

And it showed.
--------------------------------------------------------

MASH Critical Roll:D100 + 60 => 143

Even with a half-season, you and Alan, and Loretta, were all nominated for Emmys.

To say that you deserved it for directing, and for best-supporting actor, was a vast understatement. Sure everyone was happy to be nominated.

But you wanted a statement win.

You wanted to bring some hardware home, for the helluva it.

Your damn right you were happy that you were a shoo-in.

Reward: Many of the cast and crew were nominated for Emmys.
----------------------------------------------------

MASH Audience Roll:D100 + 70 => 151

You pretty much were one of the most recognizable men in the world now.

That was pretty much what Lucille said to you when she showed you the numbers.

And they were big. Over 5 million people watched every episode of the season. And that was just domestically, and not anyone paying attention to the massive following that is going on internationally for the show.

It felt good.

REward: Unknown Effect.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You and Carrie both were snuggling up with each other with your pets as you turned off the TV. "Well, that was fun." You said. "I'm going to bed."

You were fine with this… Mostly.

And Then, There was Autopass turn 39 Results (September-October 1975)
-[X]One Beautiful Eavning: You and Carrie are going to enjoy a nice home-cooked dinner. Maybe you will enjoy a wonderful night. DC:??? Rolled:D100 + 30 => 69

You were happy to be home, and you honestly wanted to have a nice dinner. A steak that was well done, despite your father's insistence that any steak that isn't medium rare was not a good steak.

Maybe you just wanted to cook longer, as your eyes wandered.

Your eyes drifted to Carrie, as she lay down, reading one of the new books that came out last month, and she looked at you, and she stretched herself out, and you could just imagine so much more.

"Bruce." She said with a smile, as you looked at the steak, and flipped them. "Everything alright?"

"Oh, I know what is right." You said as you smelled the steak, they were almost ready. "I'm just thinking about everything else we're going to do tonight."

"Oh? What is that?" She asked.

"Oh, first I'm going to serve you dinner. Then put the pets out in the back to let them roam." You saw her face turn red, as she looked away. "And then we can figure it out from there."

"And what shall we figure out exactly?" Carrie was teasing and knew exactly what you both wanted. As she slowly sat up on the couch and placed her book down.

"I'm sure we can think of a few ideas. We're not working for the next week, and no one is really expecting anything from us. George doesn't need to meet me for a week. And your mom is working at the museum, and Todd is getting ready for… whatever he's planning to do with that Camera that George got him."

Carrie was now right behind you, wrapping her arms around your chest, and her fingers feeling your body. And she pressed herself against your back. And it was making you feel the ever-present feeling that you both were having.

"I'm thinking about skipping dinner. And going straight to the dessert."

"After all I did too make this?" You questioned.

"Your princess demands it." She cooed.

You turned off the burner and faced your lovely wife. "One steak to share, and then I will do as my princess commands."

It was a tasty steak… and a wonderful evening.
-------------

Reward: Well… You both enjoy a wonderful evening.
Carrie is now willing have kids. Though she's still too afraid to speak about it openly. There will be a hidden pregnancy roll for Carrie at every turn until she is pregnant, or she gathers her courage to talk to you.
---------------------------------------------------------------

-[X]Every Time: You look at your two pets and wondered just what the hell those two think of you. DC: ??? Rolled:D100 => 8

Honestly, when you woke up and saw them holding down a paparazzi cameraman, and as they destroyed the camera with their teeth…

You honestly didn't know what else to say, but Ginger was sitting on the cameraman's head… while Natalie was holding on the guy's sleeve like he was a bone.

You think those two are the best protectors you could ask for.

Reward: You start to think that the two animals are somehow able to detect, and scare off, every single paparazzi camera person in a twenty-block radius.

This just confirmed it for you.

Also, you were sure Natalie was not trained as a guard dog, what the hell was she doing, and how did she take down a grown person without you noticing… and keep the person there for god knows how long.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
-[X]Johns Journey Through Stardom: John is trying his best to maintain his career in Hollywood, but considering just how insane the city became with the Strike, he's hoping that he might be able to stay with you because… Some Night Money is not something he wants to touch for this town. DC: 40 Rolled:D100 => 81

John was quiet as you looked at him through the Lucasfilms office. "Okay John, I cleared my entire schedule to talk to you, whats wrong?"

"Have you ever been drowning in offers for roles from the studios that just want to see you get them lots of money that they see you as a walking Dollar sign?"

You frowned. "Not me personally, but I think Carrie gets at least one phone call a day from one of the studios offering her a million-plus dollar contract to have her on the payroll."

John sighed. "I thought being a big name in this town would give me options. And opportunities. All I'm getting is just… more of the same. Just more musicals and Some Night?"

"Well, that sounds like a problem for your agent. Talk to him, try to tell him you want a challenge."

"That's the problem, everyone doesn't want a challenge because after the unions shut this town down, everyone is trying to get something that will make them money. Musicals, the success of Some Nights really got them thinking about everything on the cheap." He sighed. "I'm a fucking actor, not a Broadway performer, not anymore. I don't want my career to be defined by this."

You sighed. "John I'm sure you can figure something out. You're a smart guy who has the world in the palm of his hands. So why not make them an offer? Do a movie for them, but then do a movie for you. I think you can leverage that."

"Bruce, I'm not a guy who wants to make enemies wherever I go."

"I do not make enemies with everyone, look at George, Francis, and Gary?" You replied.

That made John frown. "And everyone else?"

You then huffed. "They are assholes, who hate me or don't like my attitude, or faith… or the fact I married Carrie and she converted."

"You aren't making a good impression if you think like that. Or just the fact you did all that." He replied.

"Fine. You have a point. But please… just I don't know… do what you think is right."

John then hugged you. "Just stay safe."

Reward: John and you talked.

And you think that John has a good idea to make some good movies.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-[X]Robin William's Debut: Robin has his first big show in town, and you want to be there for it. DC: 30 Rolled:D100 => 74

You and Carrie were in attendance for Robins's first big performance, his truly massive opening as a comedian.

The stage was truly packed, and everyone was watching with bated breath as Robin took the stage, and then he began a blistering barrage of one-liners and funny moments.

Before you knew it, you were laughing your ass off as Robin saw you and made this quip. "Who boy, the strongest man in the room is pissing his pants with his wife. We all know the Goose enjoys this little fright."

And you couldn't do anything about it, but laugh at your embarrassment. But it was all in good fun, and the fact he made that kind of rhyme just made it seem like he was in a musical, and laughter was the orchestra, and Robin, the masterful composer.

Reward: Welcome to the Great Land of Comedy Robin. May you make many laugh… and cry tears of joy.
--------------------------------------------------------

-[X]A Well-Known Fan: So some really famous person is a fan of yours. Maybe you'll learn who they actually are. DC??? Rolled:D100 => 98
Who is it:D20 => 17

You looked at the letter and said huh. "Who the fuck is Queen?" You asked George as you both looked at the fan letter. "Is it the actual Queen of the UK?"

"No, they are just some metal rock band that is kinda okay," George said. "Never really cared for their music. Actually, I've only ever heard one song, and didn't like it."

"Well, maybe when they are in town, we can talk to them?" You asked.

"Okay. Sure, you do you." George replied as he grabbed a sandwich from the fridge. "Almost done with the first draft of the edit. My problem is, we need to talk-"

"About the battles, I know George." You replied. "We'll talk about."

Reward: Turns out, The Band known as Queen, Brian May, Freddie Mercury, Roger Deacon, and Roger Taylor, are huge fans of the Goose, and the next time they are in LA, they can be met up, to talk with and hang out.

Also, they really hope that Carrie is willing to sing with them for a single because they think it might be cool.
------------------------------------

--[X] $4 Million. Bruce Lee Memorial Gymnasium: Open to the general public and offers an adult accreditation programs as well as an After School program for underprivileged children; to start, The Gymnasium consists of four core programs: The Bruce Lee Memorial Martial Arts and Stunts Program, Conditioning and Exercise Athletics Program, Craftsman and Survivalist Accreditation Program, Firearm and Weapon Safety Accreditation Program. Build on 10 Acres of owned land. (Credit to Orion Ultior) Rolled: D100 => 74

As much as the City Council loathed the fact you were developing a Gymnasium and community center in the Hills, they couldn't say no without a huge amount of public backlash, seeing as you were considered a pillar of the Beverly Hills community, despite being rather aloof and otherwise being a bit distant to all the other stars that lived there.

They were more than happy to accept but stipulated that, as you were running a private facility, your insurance on the building might be higher than normal.

That was fine.

Because honestly, you had money to burn.
--------------------------------------------------------------------

---[X] Part I: The Bruce Lee Memorial Martial Arts and Stunts Program: (Action Cinematography)
----[X] Before Construction begins, Ask Linda Lee for permission to use her late husband's name and likeness for the gym. Emphasize dedication to youth outreach and forwarding Bruce's philosophy and contributions towards cinema. If Linda refuses, accept and change gym name to Bruce O'Brian Gym and Community Center and Bruce O'Brian Martial Arts and Stunts Program. Rolled:D100 => 87

Linda was… honestly quite shocked when you told her the news. "You would do that for Bruce?" She asked, almost without any more words to say.

"He helped me in more ways than I could possibly imagine, helped me become the man I am today Linda… This is the least I can do for-"

"Bruce." She said your name with a smile, as she put her hand on your own. "I… can't accept this. I… I don't think he would want this."

"Yes, he would. We'd just be lying to ourselves and wondering how he would see it when we already know the answer." You replied. "I… won't do this without your permission… or your blessing."

Linda was quiet for a long time, her mind deep in thought before she finally said. "On one condition."

"Name it."

"If someone ever tries to buy this property from you, or tries to… do anything that could dishonor Bruce's name… you let me know." She replied.

"Of course Linda." You then nodded, as you handed over a piece of paper. The paper that could make it all possible. "Just… sign here, when you're ready."

You stood up, but then Linda said. "Bruce."

You turned around to face her. "Yeah?"

"Thank you."

You just nodded in silence. You had nothing else to say.

Reward: In Two years' time, the Facility will be operational, and while you are not running it, as Linda offered to be looking over the majority of it (says it gives her something to do most of the time when the kids are at school) you will be excepted to meet with the city council before it opens, to discuss… what the city wants.

When open, All of Hollywood will have a huge increase in opinion for you.

And when open, all Chorography rolls for all Films you produce, Star, or direct, will auto pass Chorography rolls.

Among other, huge bonuses.

-[X]The Friendship and Brotherhood of George Lucas: George wants to hang out and have fun. DC: 30 Rolled:D100 => 77

The roof was where George was, waiting for you.

"George, something tells me that you are tired, and overworked again, because I see a cooler of beer, and… well… you're not in the office."

George cracked one open. "Guilty."

"You know I don't drink that much." You said. "And not in America."

"Isn't going to stop me." George offered. "I'm too tired to care."

You both just sat down. "I never told you that… before you came in… I about quit this town," George said. "THX was destroying my life, my marriage, and Francis couldn't help me, try as he might. Then you came along with a hundred thousand dollars and saved my film, my career… and maybe my life. In the manner that I wanted to live that is."

You sighed. "You have the talent, I was just lucky."

"I don't believe in luck, not much anymore… But… maybe destiny… maybe fate."

You frowned. "I may believe in God George, but I don't think he was forcing me to make my choices. We both just found each other and that's probably all we needed."

George drank the whole can in a gulp. "Maybe… I just wonder what my life would be like without you, helping me along."

"I don't know George… see like you would do just fine without me." You smiled.

You both sat and drank. And I just… enjoyed the simple fact you were truly friends.

Reward: George regains his mojo, and you both cement a truly wonderful friendship.

Unknown Positive effect for you, George, and Lucasfilms unlimited.

-[X]Modeling (High Fashion): So you got a call from a photographer in LA, some no name. But that no name works for Gucci. And he wants you on their next lineup of products. And he needs you to model for him. Which is great… one problem, you have no idea what the hell you are doing. DC: 60 Rolled:D100 => 99

You looked at what the person who had put the clothes gave you and rolled your eyes. "Who the hell wears this? This isn't fashionable, or comfortable?"

The slacks were too tight and the shirt you were wearing was also too tight, and they were really showing off just how strong and muscular they were. And it was not helping you in the matter of making things interesting. It was like you were naked and it was not helpful.

"People with more money than sense wear this stuff, and it's not like it's going to be anything that we'll want to wear." Carrie replied as she looked at herself in the mirror. "Do you think this dress makes my butt look big?"

You frowned at that and looked at the mirror. "No." You said absent-mindedly. "If anything it draws attention to your legs."

Carrie huffed, not satisfied with the answer. "Some help you are, you have no eye for fashion."

"And you do?" You replied.

"Well…" She then huffed in embarrassment. "No."

"Ah, the power couple." The photographer said with a smile and you tried to recognize the man behind the camera. "Now, Bruce, could you please stand up, and flex your right arm."

"In what pose?" You asked as you stood up, feeling really uncomfortable with the pose.

"Any Pose." The man stated as he then gestured to Carrie. "Now, get in front of him, right in front of his arm."

Carrie did and you sighed. "Oh well, at least with George we could get back at him for this silliness."

"Hush!" The photographer stated. "You are in front of my camera."

You didn't even know this eccentric guy's name, but damn could he snap a Polaroid.

And the front page of Guuci was… well… A Spotlight of you and Carrie, in the latest of European fashion.

With you being incredibly uncomfortable in every single outfit. Like everything was made two sizes too small.

Carrie was lucky, every dress she wore made her drop-dead gorgeous.

Reward: +100,000 Dollars.

Your dignity in being in a fashion magazine that you did not like.

Yet somehow, you looked halfway decent, as well as looking downright… well, from the amount of mail that came to the Lucasfilms office… everyone wanting to find out how you look so damn good.

Carrie is lauded as the sexiest… actually, the most Beautiful woman in the world. And to most critics, it's not even close.

AN: Enjoy.

A Little Short For an Update, don't you think Turn 40 (October 1975)
You and Carrie look at the TV and you muse. "You know, what would happen if we moved out of the city?"

"Looking for a nice cozy villa?" Carrie joked as you raised your arms. "Tend to your crops, and just live out your retirement, despite having so much in the way of ambition in this town?"

"Be a much simpler life. One where you don't need to worry about any of the things going on?"

"You know that isn't what you want?" She said with a simple smile.

"I know, but that doesn't mean I can't dream a little."

And dream you wish for something special.

A Fully Armed And Operational ILM... and Other O'Brian W's Turn 40 Results (October 1975-November 1975)
-[X]Post Production (The Battles That George Planned): "George… How Many Battles did you have ILM create?" DC: 40 Rolled:D100 => 24 (Autopass)

You looked at what George planned, and only said one thing.

"George… Are you trying to recreate famous World War 2 battles with this film?"

George only looked back at you with a smile. "Is that a bad thing?"

(Continued in: The Battles of Star Wars)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-[X]The Trailer: You hope that George would be willing to make a trailer so that you can keep Mike's promise. DC:??? Rolled:D100 => 71

You looked at the Trailer, and as the reel stopped… You just looked at George.

"George, That was so cool."

"I know, we managed to finish the lightsaber effects last night, that was great!" George was gushing over the work he and Marcia did. "Marcia was the one who discovered one of the flickerings of the film and decided to use it to make the effect look more fluid."

"And it just so happened to save us time and the MAgicians from having to go over each frame?"

"I mean, we run a business after all," George replied. "But seriously, it's great… But the problem is, we don't have any more spaceship shots than what we already have."

Then you smiled. "Oh, that is going to be great."

Reward: The Trailer is completed. While it's not the best trailer, due to the lack of spaceship shots and the simple fact none of the battles are ready… it will be enough.

See a considerable increase in Star Wars Hype in December.

-[X]Distributing Deals: Since you have a Distribution Company, or rather, are one… You can meet the major movie theater companies and strike a Deal with them. Even when you had really nothing to offer them. DC: ???
--[X]Lone Wolf and Cub: Baby Cart at the River Styx Rolled:D100 => 6

"Mike… what did you do?"

Mike Eisner was not happy to see you and George. "I had to make a deal with one of our competitors."

"Without our knowledge?" You asked. "Mike we hired you to"

"I didn't want a damn lawsuit on our hands!" Mike shouted as he pulled out several papers. "We don't own the rights to the film. At least not fully."

"What, how! We have all the paperwork and Toho's contracts are rock solid?" George was perplexed.

"That's what I thought, until I learned that it seems, that there was a clause. One that didn't get revealed until two days ago, by our lawyers."

He pulled out and underlined it. "It doesn't exist for any of the other films, except this one, I don't know how we missed it, they thought it was a translation error." Mike then sighed. "Toho and some other company in Japan still own it, and if we tried to distribute it, we would make nothing."

Both you and George traded a glance. "So we're-"

"I'm leaving for Tokyo on the next flight tomorrow." He said. "Get this all cleared up." He then smiled. "Don't burn the place down while I'm gone."

Failure. Mike is going to be out of the country dealing with this, and you will suffer a penalty for distributing films until he returns.
--------------------------------------------------

-[X]The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson: Mike had an idea, put you on a late night TV show and give an interview. You don't see why not? DC: ??? Rolled:D100 => 36

You got cold feet at the last minute, and everyone could understand.

And even Johnny said that he had planned for it.

Failure.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
-[X]Simple Pleasures: You and Carrie are wondering about some of the things you like. Rather, the things you want to do in the future? DC:50 Rolled:D100 + 30 => 130

You and Carried looked at the things you had, before she stopped you. "Bruce can we talk."

(Continued in: Simple and Sweet)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

-[X]The Olympiad: So Team USA wants to make you the face of the Team. Time to figure out what that means for you. DC: 10 Rolled:D100 => 90

You looked at the members of Team USA leadership and were quite confused, and perplexed at their very clear interest. In you that is. "Okay, we're at my house, and you are here. Can you tell me why?"

The Skipper of the Hockey Team John Mariucci, was the one who finally spoke. "To put it bluntly kid? You're the face of it all. Team USA is going to be ridding high, and well, get people to watch it."

"Yeah, but I'm just one of the boxers." You stated. "Not exactly the highlight of the event."

"Not unless we make it a spectacle of it." There was a sigh from one of the other media people there. "The country needs a win, and you're in the prime place to give us one."

"I can only win one medal." You stated. "Maybe two If I decide to also go heavyweight, but-"

You saw a smile on their faces before you saw another camera. "Are you going to be filming a documentary about it?"

"Yes."

"Why me, unless you're trying to-"

"Get a spotlight on everyone else Bruce." There was a great glow on everything.

"Goddammit." You swore. "I am going to be so overworked."

"Hey, look on the bright side Bruce, if you're the one hosting it, it will get butts in seats. And it will mean people will watch the games, and everyone else."

Reward: You have been press-ganged by Team USA to film a documentary series involving all the sports in the game, in small half-hour segments, as well as highlight several members of Team USA.

The idea is to use your star power and athleticism to show the world that Team USA will win it all when the time comes.

And also get lots of publicity for the team and inspire others.
---------------------------------------------------

-[X]The Legend of Clint Eastwood: Clint invited you to a party. This is going to be fun. DC: 20 Rolled:D100 => 100

To think everyone in Hollywood was here for this big announcement. "Thanks for letting me come, Clint, I'd think after all that's happened, and the lack of contact when I was in production overseas, we might have lost touch."

Clint smiled. "Oh, I just think that the way the business works. We're always going to see each other when we have time. Plus, I think you would have enjoyed being away, it would make what's going to happen next much better."

"Oh, Clint, you've only just gotten back from shooting, what are you planning to do?"

Clint smiled. "Oh, you know, following you're example."

"Should I be worried?" You asked. "My example is never the most subtle."

Clint smiled even more at that. "Well then… might as well make do."

He then began to speak. "You know, everyone knows I love Westerns, I love how much that it reaches back into the distant past, where we find ourselves wondering what we could do, and what we can do."

"I think the reason I love them is because it offers us a way to get the freedom that we feel like we've lost in our modern world. And entertain us in ways of fantasy, and even reality."

"I say this because I have a picture coming up, one that I loved making, with all my goodness. And I think… frankly, I would love to see it.

But I can't, not anymore. See, during the shooting, I was told by many people who I worked for at the time, that I could not do it anymore. They saw the Westen as a relic of a bygone age, and one that should be shelved because anyone who wanted to watch it was old and dead, and replaced by something for TV. Or irrelevant in our modern world.

So they shelved it. Put the finished film on a rack in their archive… and just let it sit. Forgotten, as they want all the good westerns to go.

I don't believe that. I believe people should see it. But not from Warner, who decided that they wanted to shelve it. I'm asking for you're helping me, to buy it off them, let the world see it for what it is."
----------------------
Well… that happened.

Reward: The Outlaw Josey Wales rights, have been bought in Full, By Clint Eastwood, and several of his friends. They are looking for a distributor.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

-[X]Workout: A Healthy Mind and a Healthy Body are Key to having a good life, and you have been slacking as of late. Time to hit the workout and discipline, and perhaps, see things differently. DC: 30 Reward: You work out and feel better. Rolled:D100 + 30 => 122

Carrie:
D100 + 30 => 99

Muscle Beach was someplace you never really wanted to be. Really you didn't like it, because it was too hot, there were to many people, and some of the people working out are just… not that good.

It was all Carrie's idea really, said she wanted to hang out with some friends. And it led to this.

You looked at the weights and looked at Carrie. "This is too easy."

"Prove it." She boasted as she lifted a bar with over 40 pounds, and made a clean hold over her head, before setting it down.

Oh, it was a challenge now?

You looked at the bar and looked at the weight. "Can I add more?"

Some of the guys looked confused before you added 100 more pounds. Then to your body weight.

You then lifted it cleanly up, held it over your head, and yawned, before gently setting it down. "Carrie, what are you looking at?"

Carrie was embarrassed, with crimson on her cheeks but instead, she said. "Hold that pose."

You did, and you saw her friends taking pictures. "Oh come on."

You finally noticed that during the lift, your shirt tore in half, leaving you without one, as it was now in tatters.

Reward: You and Carrie have a pleasant experience together, though you have learned to not take a T-shirt like that for granted… because damn if lifting weights can do that, you're worried about it.

Also, you lifted lots of heavyweights.

Pictures of you shirtless have disseminated across Hollywood, and you have once again, attracted the attention of your rabid fangirls.

AN: I Weep!

The Battles of Star Wars
The Battles of Star Wars:

You and George were at ILM headquarters, in the giant warehouse that was covered in Blue Screens and other models. "Alright… George, I'm here. And still wondering what you have-"

You then saw the huge board of drawings, of aerial maneuvers, of where they could possibly go. And then the growing number of boards that were there, and then you looked to George. "What."

"Look at them." He stated.

Oh.

You saw hundreds if not thousands of models and fighters in the drawings, each other drawing showing the scale of a star battle above the death star, as well as explosions, of fighters leaving or putting them in…

And frankly… it was too much to take in. "How the hell are we going to make this?"

"You can see why I needed you to come in to talk about this," George stated, as you looked at the table. "We have a few options."

"George, there is no way in hell we could make a full-scale battle this way, and not in the way that we put into the film?"

"That's what reshoots are for," George stated as if he had not. "Already have everyone ready to come back for it if we need to."

Oh… he had put some thought into it. "But… But… You're trying to recreate World War two with models."

"Yes." George stated. "Is that a bad thing?"

"It's an expensive thing, do we even have the manpower and the time to make it?"

George looked to the others, who were just shifting around. "Well, not in the way that I wanted it. But pretty close. It will take us months, probably even years."

You were honestly… just feeling overwhelmed. "What are options?"

Choose the Scale of the Battle of the Death Star?:

[]Small Scale: This was the one originally envisioned in the script, with only around forty fighters against the monstrosity of the death star, turrets, and tie fighters. Fitting a much more desperate situation of the rebellion, placing much more emphasis on the characters, their struggles to survive, and adding to the tension of the rebellion's last hope to save the day, and the rebellion. (Time it will take: 7 Months.)

[]Medium Scale: This will require reshoots, but since George and ILM got the money to spare, they decided to make this… battle far more grand, far more epic. Far more like a battle in a war, than a desperate last stand for the Rebellion. It would take some time to get it complete, but it would be like watching an Ariel war film from the second world war… only in space, and not real. And in far better quality. (Time it will take to complete: 14 Months)

[]Large Scale: George just said he was willing to finance the whole damn thing out of pocket. He wants it to be a massive fleet battle between the two armies of the Galaxy. Destroyers, carriers, and much more. He wants the finale to be more about the spectacle, and showing that, despite the main cast being heroes, they are just there, simple pieces in a grander galactic universe. The problem is, you don't have any destroyers or carriers, and the Magicians would have to make all of them from scratch. (Time it will take to complete. 18 Months)

AN: Enjoy.

Simple and Sweet
Simple and Sweet:

You and Carrie were at home, just trying to enjoy a small day off after so long. Well for you. You had been working, and Carrie was helping her mom with several things around the collection.

But there was something in the air, and that was not really something you understood. You almost wanted to just stop and wonder what was going on, the tension that she seemed to have, it was…

Well like she was having one of her sad days, but that wasn't it, because Carrie seemed chipper and-

Well honestly, since you never got a chance to talk to her, you didn't really know, it was like she was avoiding you.

"Carrie, is everything alright?" There was a quiet moment, as Carrie stopped moving, and looked at you, looking up to your face, and she sighed. You frowned. "I-"

"Wait Bruce, I'm sorry, I just didn't know how to say it." She said as she walked over to you.

You're brow raised as she held out her hands and took your own. "Can we talk?"

"Of course." You started as she led you through the house, towards your couch. There was a quiet as you could only hear your footsteps before she sat you down. You both looked at each other, and you could feel that something was on her mind. "What's going on-" You started before she placed a finger on your lips, and you went silent.

"Bruce," She stated. "I want to make one thing clear, I've always been incredibly thankful for you coming into my life, and doing all you have for me and my family." You almost rolled your eyes at that, and you were going to say nothing about that, but then she continued. "I'm… well I just want to say that I've been talking to my mom, and your mom about our future."

You raised an eyebrow but chose to remain quiet, feeling that she had more to say. When you realized she was waiting for you to say something. "In what way?"

"Well, Mom wanted me to work with you on a few things. I've been having a great deal of extra writing time as of late, and I wrote something." She revealed a fully finished screenplay on the table. "Don't have a name for it though. I was helping Mom come up with more ways she can have her come back… and she wanted me to focus just a little bit more behind the camera." You then turned to the mantlepiece, and the Oscars Carrie had. A stunning and bold reminder of her success. "Or find a way to make more money over the years so that once I get old and grey, I can retire without having to worry about anything else."

"I don't think you'll grow old and grey." You said. "You'll still be as beautiful as you are now."

Carrie grinned. "Then I talked to your mother."

"Let me guess, she said that she wanted dozens of grandchildren to spoil… or something like that?" You stated before you both laughed at that.

"To think your mother told you to practice abstinence when they first saw us?" She giggled at that.

"And my dad was all supportive of it." You replied. "Yeah, that sounds about right."

You both laughed at the situation. "And then the moment we get married, she wants us to start giving her grandchildren."

Yeah, that was Mom alright. "Well, at least we can enjoy the incredibly… duel nature of my mother." You both laughed. "So… what is it you want?"

"I don't know." She was unsure. "I want your opinion."

"Are you sure? This is your choice about what you want, I shouldn't be this involved with that?" You replied.

"Yes, you should be, because you are my husband, and I love you and trust you enough that we should talk about this." Carrie stated.

What do you tell her?:

[]Focus on Career: "Carrie, we both have plenty of time for our family, but we also have to remember that we're both working in Hollywood, and we both need to keep working to keep up with our lifestyles. I know that in the future I'd love to have children, but I think your mom is right." (Carrie and you will both avoid having kids for the next three years. Carrie will gain massive (+150) roll bonuses for her Screenwriting Bonuses, Acting SP, and Chemistry. Carrie will also be developing Movie Pitchs among the list with other members of LucasFilms.)

[]Focus on Family: "Carrie, you've already achieved everything that an actress could want in Hollywood besides directing, you have Oscars, you're internationally recognized as a great actress and songwriter and musician… Why force yourself into the grind when we both know we'll hate it and just be back to this again in a few years… We're only young once, and my Mom is one of those people that would really like to see her grandchildren when we have the chance. This world is crazy enough as it is." (Carrie and you will try for kids, and all rolls involving Carrie with Autopass. More Actions will be unlocked for just more family fluff. Gain a minor Chemistry Bonus with you.)

On a Dream and a MASHED Prayer Turn 41 (November 1975)
On a Dream and a Prayer:

You looked at Lucille and honestly couldn't help but feel strange about the MASH contract. "Lucille, as much as I have enjoyed working on MASH, you are just… telling me to walk?"

"Not my choice kid, at least one that I want to make" She stated as she looked out the window. "I must have fired fifty people in the last six months, and still I find myself with emerging talent that is a fraction of the cost and losing so much in the way of scripts, that I can't even fill the damn room with enough episodes." She sighed. "But I'll be blunt kid, and don't take this personally. You are just too expensive, and too much of a risk to try and bet my company's future on that. Even if I trust my gut more than anything else. And with the new contracts I negotiated with the actors guild to get them on board to keep this place afloat, I can't afford you. And unlike previous times, I can't give you a pay cut because if I did, I'd lose my entire studio, because I already paid you the least out of everyone in the entire set, even with residuals."

You realized that you were, indeed the least paid, none extra of guest star, in the entire show. You were only making a few thousand dollars an episode. Alan was making somewhere close to a million. "Can't get anything from the actors guild? I can quit?"

"I'm not going to have you risk you're career and reputation for my show." She stated softly. "You're a damn good kid Bruce, and I think above all else, I really wish you the best of luck in whatever you do."

"Not going to try and make me stay for another show?" You asked.

"Kid, If I could, I would have made one for you, tailor-made to have you as the star." She replied. "But I don't have one yet. But once I do, I think you would be more than happy with it."

You smiled. "Thanks Lucille."

"Oh and Kid." She said as you stood up. "Just a word of warning for you."

You paused. "What is it?"

"Warners gonna Crash hard in the next few months, I know it." She stated. "Just don't get caught in the crossfire from the bidding wars that will come from the carrions after its corpse."

"How are you so certain Warner is going to fall, they seem to be a dammed institution in this town?" You asked.

"Let's just say some old friends are outright thrilled to finally strike back at those bastards." She smiled at that. "And one of them says they have the things that could bring it all down."

"And this impacts me how?" You asked.

"Ask Debbie about what they said to her when she was let go from her contract?" She replied.

Reward: due to the New Rules in Hollywood by the SAG and other unions, Lucille did what was best for her company. Letting you walk away from MASH with no strings attached.

And giving you some advice on what may come.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You were not feeling well before you looked at Carrie. "Um, so what's the big thing for Carrie O'Brian on this day?"

What Carrie is doing?:D5 => 2

"Writing a Screenplay based on all those massive notebooks and ideas that you have. Along with one that my mom had in her head for awhile that she needs help with." She stated sheepishly. "I mean, I know they are yours but, you've done almost nothing with them, and Dave and the Guys at the office already wrote a few movies already for Conan and that weird… another thing that is the talk? What's it called again?"

"Oh, Felix's Baby? Devil's Hour. Yeah, he was talking about it a lot, and worked on it with Issac and the other script team guys, to iron it out. They really have a good story, I just don't know how we can fund it right now. George and Mike have been pretty tight on the purse strings."

Carrie then smiled. "Oh, I'll just go by there, and see what they think is a good idea."

"If you can get Dave away from George for longer than an hour, I will be forever grateful." You offered.

"Sure." She replied. "Now I have to ask, for tonight, what should I wear?" She showed two long formal gowns. One red and one black. Though the black one had a nice white coloring that just looked better. Though the red one? A deep crimson? That was a very good look on her.

"And what is the occasion?" You asked.

"Mom's opening her collection at the museum, and I've been invited."

"The black one then." You replied. "Far more you with your mom."

Carrie then smiled. "Alright. Thanks, Bruce." And she went walking towards your room.

"Hey Bruce, can you help me with something?"

You raised an eyebrow and spoke slowly. "With?"

"You'll see."

You leaped at the opportunity to assist her.

And it was quite the thing. You enjoyed the little catwalk she did as she tested it out to make sure it was a perfect fit for her.

You were right of course. The Black dress was perfect for her.

Reward: New Actions Available.

For the next six months, Carrie will be focusing on writing Screenplays for Lucasfilms with the Lucasfilms screenplay team that has assembled by complete accident.

A New World World Of Lucasfilms Unlimited Turn 41 Results (November-December 1975)
A New World:

-[X]And in Comes the Film Brats: Steve and George's Friends are looking for jobs. For Scripts… and honestly, for a place that will pay them since half of them got fired from Warner, and most of the other studios see that they are friends with George, and think they are not worth the time. DC: 10 Rolled:D100 => 100

Brian and Company were sitting at the office lobby, screwing around with some of the things that were coming in, because they hadn't been greeted. "Alright guys calm down."

A moment later, the director/Scriptwriters and friends of George and Steve, were kinda making their way into your office, and you were darn well wondering how you were going to talk to them.

Because honestly, you didn't really know any of them. But they were incredibly talented and incredibly driven for success.

At least until most of them were fired or just weren't able to find a job since the end of the strike.

There were four of them, at least, of those that you had an inkling of knowledge about. Brian Depalma was the only one you knew by sight, as you had seen him around a lot at the parties you and George and Steve had on occasion.

The other two were people that you just didn't have any inkling of knowing.

"Um… Paul Schrader." Paul offered a hand and you took it, and after you shook, you offered a hand to the others.

"John Milus." He offered. And you took it with a smile.

But the last man in the room needed no introduction. You had seen his movies. "Martian Scorsese."

"So you're the kids that Robert told me about… said when he met you his luck changed," Martin stated, and you raised an eyebrow.

"How so? And Robert?"

"Di Niro," Martin stated and you realized who he was talking about now. "Said he met a young man one time and offered some advice to him or something like that. And his luck began to turn because of it. No offense, I didn't even think it was you."

You took a breath with a wave of your hand. "Well, Here I am."

There was a chuckle between the men before you finally got down to business with a serious gaze. "Well, gentlemen… why are we here?"

Brian was the one who spoke. "If you want me to be honest, my contract's up, and when I tried to get a new one, Warner told me off, and every other studio was afraid of a young guy with too much ambition, and not enough sense. And everyone else wouldn't let me make any films, just TV episodes. Said I didn't have enough experience to helm another big film."

Ouch. "What about Carrie? I heard you worked really hard on that King adaptation?"

Brian shrugged. "They don't have much hope in it. After it releases and it does well, I don't wanna work for people that don't have faith… So I'm here, instead of waiting for them to be proven wrong and me crawling back to them."

Martin looked at Brian and gave him a pat on the back before you asked. "Martin, you seem like a golden boy to some of these people?"

That earned Martin a laugh. "Well, after the strike, I went back to work on the picture I wanted to work on, that was part of my contract. But they bought me out and said that, since the strike happened, they can't take any more risks for a Director's pet projects. Especially one of them I really wanted to do."

"What was it?" You asked.

"The Passion of Christ." He replied.

Now that was something that made you feel a deep sense of… well everything. But most of all, anger at the people who would refuse to make such a compelling story on screen. "Oh."

And when you looked at John and Paul, they both just shrugged. "Wasn't being paid enough," Paul stated. "They also didn't like any of my scripts. Which I find bullshit, considering that they are really good."

John just stopped and said. "Honestly, I just don't wanna work with those people that don't like me, rather work with my friends."

"Glad you consider us friends despite not knowing each other at all." You stated, with a smile.

There was a hint of some hesitation among them before you said this. "So… What are we doing here?"

"Looking for a job," Brian stated. "Heard that George had some holes in the schedule that needs filling, and you've got some money to burn for some boys with good ideas and not enough sense. Also, because you don't have any films and they need to be done."

That earned a smile from you. "You know we have a few rules right?"

That earned a smile from Martin. "Yeah, so? You're rules aren't going to be any more arbitrary than what we had to work with already."

"I'll get the lawyers to write you boys up some contracts?" You stated.

Reward: Paul Schrader and John Millus have joined Lucasfilms Unlimited as mostly Screen Writers. The House of Idea's Investment in Lucasfilms is now heavily discounted. You now have gained a Writers Room entirely for free.

The Writers Room: Where the screenwriters of the Studio gather for ideas, for their screenplays to be shared, and where they are finally put together into movies. (Screenplays from real life, and among your pitches are created into actual film scripts. With varying quality every year. You currently have 3 Writers in the Room, Dave Alister, Paul Schrader, and John Millus. They will produce 3 workable and producible scripts every six months. They can be asked to make more by using the new action to ask them to develop the pitch. They can make more, but only on special occasions.)

Martin Scorcese and Brian De Palma have joined Lucasfilms Unlimited.

You now have a group of directors that you can bring on for "Free" during the beginning of the production mini-turn, though they have to be convinced of their merit.

If not, they will automatically begin working on productions if you choose their corresponding actions to begin their own productions, like with Steve and Close Encounter as long as you give them a budget and objective to finish production, which as Co-Owner of the Studio, you are entitled to.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-[X]The Last Leg of Rocky: To think that Sly and his little crew were able to get all this done on a tighter budget and a tighter shoot than even you were? It's… Wow? How did they do it? DC: 30 Rolled:D100 => 97

Sly was saying goodbye to everyone at the party that was being held at the office, and most people there were going to be happy just to get out of the cramped building. "Sly?" You said his name as you shook his hand. "I take it everything went well for your one-in-a-million shot?"

"Editing is going well. Though I'm still going to fight George for the Bicentennial release. Star Wars be dammed." That were some dangerous words, considering all the Work George was putting into it.

"I still think Going to George might not be the best idea?" You stated. "But we can certainly try."

"Try… Mike is already on Board, and so is Marcia." He stated. "I'm sure he'll relent if you are on board too."

You shook your head. "When do you think you'll be done? September?"

"Try May, just in time for Memorial Day." He replied.

You shook your head. "I made a promise to George, and right now, we still have plenty of money in the War chest to hold off not releasing any of our films." You sighed. "Sly, I can't do that to my friend."

Sly sighed. "Listen, the only reason I'm asking, is because I think that... It's possible for us to do it. To make George see it's not just his movies he has to look out for. Its all of our movies that we want to make."

That made you pause before you said. "Alright, I'll talk to him."

Reward: New Action Available.
----------------------------------------------

-[X]The Outlaw Josey Wales: Clint came to you with a pretty sizable offer. He needs to get the film out. And something tells you, they need it now. DC: ??? Rolled:D100 => 82

You almost wanted to kiss Clint when he came to you.

Then you realized that the Marketing team might want to do that first. Seeing as this was the first real shot at marketing a film.

And by God did they do it!

(Continued in: The Outlaw Josey Wales)
-------------------------------------
-[X]What is Going on With Warner?: What is going on with Warner? Like seriously? What did they do to piss everyone off? DC: ??? Rolled:D100 => 95

Oh…

You expected a lot of things when you hired that investigator to look into what the hell Warner was doing when rumors swirled around that they were actively sabotaging Josey Wales… But you didn't expect that.

Even after it was confirmed they tried to sabotage Josey Wales' Release.

But it went much deeper than that.

Much much deeper than you could have possible imagined

(Continued in: The Warner Meltdown. Or The Warner Bro's Turn for November-December 1975 Results)
----------------------------------------------------------------
-[X]The Olympics with Bruce O'Brian: You are going to begin this story of Olympic might… hopefully with the biggest names of the games for the Americans, besides yourself. The USA men's Basketball team. DC: 10 Rolled:D100 => 35+20=55

To say the episode was rather flat was obvious. You were going in blind about Basketball and didn't know much about the men going toward the Olympics. Most of the men were just being asked softball questions, rather than true questions that made them think about their place in the US Olympic team. It was almost comical how you did it.

And honestly, you weren't that creative with your… Camera work, not that the two days you had to gather footage was enough.

Simple shots of buildings, scrimmages on the basketball court, nothing substantial. You wanted to do more, yet all you had was a few rolls of film… and not enough morale from the crew with you to keep going.

Honestly, it was weak, and you wanted to do more, but Team USA got what they wanted, part one of this new simple series.

And you hated that they allowed for such mediocrity.

Reward: You have an episode directed, and it was mostly mediocre. Something that you wish to improve on.

Hopefully, they understand.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

-[X]And Carrie Writes from the Heart: Carrie asked for some help with one of her own stories. (Carrie produces her own movie screenplays, and completes the one that she had been working on) Rolled:D100 + 150 => 219

Script Quality:D100 + 20 => 100

You looked at the Script that Carrie made. "Autobiographical?" You asked as you skimmed through the pages… "Five Dates?"

Carrie smiled and leaned in. "I just… wanted to write something easy, something simple."

"And you chose us? With a sprinkling of Robin and John at the same time?"

"I did that because if I made it any more sappy, everyone would know it was us?" she leaned in closer to move the script away. "I fictionalized it of course, with some of my dreams of future dates that we will eventually have." She said as put her hand on your shoulder. "The parts that were the best story."

"Tell me about it." You whispered. "What is it you find the best of our story that you put into this script?"

"The ending." She said as she kissed you.
--------------------------------------------------

Movie Title: Five Dates
Genre: Romance
Format: Film
Details:

Set in the City of Los Angeles, This is a simple story of five dates between Walter Riely, a struggling comedian who has finally got a small-time job working stand-up at a local bar, The Shinning Sea, and his Girlfriend, Jasmine Tate, who he met at the end of his first gig.

The Story goes through the stages of their relationship, as they grow closer, and become better friends, and later, better people through knowing each other.

Even when life and struggles damage their relationship, and drive them apart… and later, back together.

And unlike all good romances, this one is not a tragedy that is doomed to fail. This one is a simple statement.

That love is real and requires great effort to make work.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Reward: Five Dates is ready to produce.

Everyone around the office basically praise Carrie for her work, and that she really could come into the Writers Room whenever she wanted to give Paul and John lessons.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-[X]And the Last Cowboy: Clint took a moment to laugh, and then to cry, as he looked at the letters on his desk. You had never seen Clint show any emotion close to what you were seeing. DC: 10 Rolled:D100 => 64

You and Clint were alone, in his home office, and he just looked at you with a smile on his face. Tears in his eyes. "You know… I always wondered how you'd pay me back for sleeping on my couch for those months, all those years ago." He whipped his eyes and held out his hand. "But… What can I say, life is a strange strange game we play. I didn't think it would lead to this."

You smiled. "Come on Clint, you can't just-"

"Let me finish kid." He stated. "I want to thank you, and well… if you need an old cowboy and a western… or a director that no one in this town seems to trust… Give me a call?" He held out his hand.

"Clint, I can't take that offer from you-" You protested.

"You can and you will, that's the end of the damn story." He replied.

You took his hand. "Clint… Thank you."

"Kid, you might have just saved my career." He smiled. "So let me offer you a way to save yours."

Reward: Clint can now be asked to Direct, or Star in any film you produce at Lucasfilms Unlimited without question or hesitation.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-[X]A Close Encounter: Steve came to you and basically all but begged you to let him start production on his new space movie… Clone Encounters. You never read the Script, but considering that George hasn't given the go-ahead yet… why hasn't Steve just gone to George and gotten the money for his movie. DC: 20 Rolled:D100 => 90

"Sweet Jesus Steve, could you not ambush me in my office!" You stated as Steve came out from behind the door. "I was about ready to punch your face in."

Steve was jittery and excited. "I mean, sorry, but this is too important, Mike is out of the country, and George is in San Francisco with ILM and I can't wait any longer!"

"Okay." You looked at Steve. "I read the script, and Mike did too, but the thing is, we don't have much of a war chest as George likes to say we do for the Press, hell I funded half of Star Wars with my own money, and not any of the Lucasfilm's profits we have."

Steve seemed deflated. "I know that, it's why I came to you. I…" He frowned and placed his hands on his face. "I wanna make this movie. I have it all planned out, all storyboarded with some of the guys I'm working with, and have a lot of pre-production done already."

"Even actors?" you asked.

"Most of them," Steve said sheepishly. He was lying through his teeth and you knew it. "Okay… like five."

"Out of how many?" You asked.

"I don't know." He said. He was nervous as all hell.

"And what about the effects? You know George won't let the Magicians work on anything else before-"

"Already got a few that already finished their parts." He said.

"How much money do you need?" You asked. "And are you putting me in as a producer? Or just a finacier?"

"A Producer Credit, yeah you'll get that Bruce, I promise that, its just..." There was a long, almost pregnant pause that Steve let hold. "My estimate… 15 million. Probably 20, if all doesn't go according to plan."

"How fast can you get it done?" You asked, feeling very confident in this question.

"With what. Filming, production?" Steve asked.

"Everything." You replied.

That made Steve raise an eyebrow… "I can get it done in a year."

You sighed.

What do you do?
[]Give him 15 million
[]Give him 20 Million
[]Write in

Do you add any stipulations that he has to follow?:
[]Write in (This can be anything from filming locations, to time filming, or even who acts in the film)
[]No: You trust him enough to not do anything stupid.

AN: A Moratorium for voting for Steve until 8 AM PST my time...

For maximum discussion.
