Lights... Camera... ACTION!!: A Hollywood Quest

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Hi Magoose here one of the guys helping Duke.

So we have some bad news.

The quest has been canceled as duke does not want to write it anymore.

I'm going to ask if I can take over for it, because I like this quest, and it would be a shame to kill it
TBF, Mags, you have been doing a lot of the heavylifting for the quest, so this will be in good hands. :)

To be clear to everyone, this is just me burning out on imagination of the quest, since my muse has been hitting me over the head a lot with so many different ideas that I just can't find myself too interested in this.

I'll still hang out here, though, since this still does have a sepcial place in my heart.

I'd like to thank you all for making this a wonderful experience while it lasted.

I'd also like to thank @Magoose, @Fluffy_serpent, and @Martin Noctis for doing so much to help prepare and write this quest. I couldn't have done it without you all. :D

I'll see you all around.

With so many regards, Duke William Of.

And Shakespeare himself couldn't write it better!

Here are the Rewards:

[]The Old Master is Impressed (Akira Korusawa sees the bare bones of the script, and wants to make it)
[]this will do well for Relations, I'm sure (Toho and other Japanese film companies will officially seek partnership with Lucasfilms, something no other company in America has done to the level that George and Bruce have Created)
[]The True Professional (Bruces' Classically Trained Actor Bonus increases by 1 level, making it +10 to all rolls in all film productions)

Here are the Rewards:
I almost can't decide since all of these are very tempting, but...

I gotta do this.

The Wedding: A Fairy Tale
The Wedding: Fairy Tales

You were waiting in the church, trying your best to try and find some things to focus on, but you were not exactly doing a good job in trying to get the jitters away. That much was certain from the way the photographer was deliberately trying to avoid you.

And you were really really trying your best to look less terrified than you actually were.

"Something wrong?" John said as he stood next to you. "Look paler than usual?"

"I don't know man, just feeling like shit, and it's not getting any better." You replied.

"Rehearsal was great, and frankly, we're lucky that everyone was sober enough for the bachelor party." There was a chuckle from John as he punched your shoulder. "Come on, you got everyone here."

Then you noticed George was with a camera, and Steve was behind him, with another.

"Oh shit," you swore as you walked over to George and Steve, both men were trying to prepare themselves for the ceremony. "George, what the hell? You told me you wouldn't film anything!"

George looked at Steve and smiled. "I'm not, Steve is." He replied with a grin as Steve waved. You could see that besides the fact he looked like he slept well, he was as chipper and full of energy as ever. "The fact you got him away from that Hellhole in Martha's Vineyard was something special. He's fortunate that this was the best excuse he had… He slept for more than six hours for the first time in a few months."

Steve indeed looked like hell, he was clearly running, if not on the energy of celebration and success, and mischief, than that of a man desperately taking control of what he can. After all, you heard something rotten was going on in the state of JAWS.

And Steve looked like he needed a break. This was the only way he could get it.

It was honestly kinda sad.

"Well, just make sure none of it gets to the press." You stated. "Carrie would kill me if that happens."

"You'll get the only copies." He said. "No questions asked."

"Not even keeping any for blackmail?" You smiled.

Steve looked heartbroken than he laughed. "I know for a simple fact that George is giving me a budget for my next film, and I do not care what you do."

You sighed in relief. "Thank goodness."

You then turned back to see Cat, looking at you with a smile. "Oh my brother is getting married… and not the one I thought?" She said as she hugged you, her daughter was running around, trying to get to the cape while her husband chased after her. "How does it feel to become a married man?"

"A bit like before, only I won't feel bad about asking for sex?" You joked, which earned a laugh from Cat. "No really, it's a great feeling."

"Oh don't worry, once the honeymoon bliss period is over, it will get easier."

"Why do you say that?" You asked.

"Believe me, you'll know." She replied as she gave a hug.

When she let go, you walked towards the front where you saw your father waiting for you. "My lord, you have been waiting for quite a while."

"My sister scares me." You stated as you looked at him with a glance.

Your father laughed. "Oh her husband felt the same way. Though I'm happy that things are going. Still feeling frightened that you might screw it all up?"

"Dad, after last night's rehearsal?" You started, but there was nothing but jovial laughter from your father.

"Oh don't you start now, we've got plenty of reasons to be happy, despite screw-ups. And this role you are going to have is going to have a lot of screw-ups."

You then saw your mom waiting, and waving to you, pointing at the front to get you ready. "But those screw-ups will be the moments you remember the most." He then gave you a hug. "You'll be okay."

"Thanks dad." You whispered.
----------------------------------------------------

Todd was the one leading Carrie down the Isle, and that was probably one of the happiest smiles you had ever seen on Carrie's face that you had ever seen.

Clad in all white, in a traditional Veil, Carrie slowly walked down the aisle, with every step matching with your heart beat, a slow methodical step that was ever entrancing in your heart.

She was trying to hid her gaze at you, as if she was waiting for the right moment to do anything more.

Todd than walked behind her, carefully watching you, than his mom as you focused entirely on Carrie.

You were quiet, thoughtful, and waiting for everything to be done.

And you moved the veil up. "Hello princess." You smiled, whispering as the priest, who had seen this before, only continued unabated. He knew that he was going to get some romantic things, but everything was going to be alright.

She smiled as she looked at you with a gaze that only you could share with her. Everything else didn't matter.

But you did have one last thing to say.

"Carrie Fisher, do you take Bruce O'Brian to be your husband? In sickness and in health, till death do you part?"

"I do." She whispered.

"Bruce O'Brian, do you take Carrie Fisher to be your wife? In sickness and in health, till death do you part?"

"I do." You replied, in the same soft tone as Carrie.

The priest continued speaking, but you both held each other's hand. This was your journey together now.

"You may kiss the bride." The priest said.

And you did.

And you and Carrier were going to do you're best, in all the goodness of life.

Reward: Carrie Fisher is now Carrie O'Brian. You're lawfully married, and wedded wife.

New Actions Are now Available.

How would you like to spend your honeymoon?:
[]Write in

AN: enjoy.

[X] Bruce and his new wife will plan a lovely honey moon that they both can enjoy. Furthermore, before Bruce goes on his honeymoon, he should do two things.
First, make sure Hollywood won't burn down without him.
Second, take a moment to visit Bruce Lee's grave to give the good news and leave some flowers to pay your respect. After all, without Bruce Lee's help, we would not be the Bruce we are today.

Aw, pretty sweet and some nice wholesome stuff around. Very happy for the new Mr. and Mrs. O'Brian and let's hope we can get the Quest to them having 50 years of a happy marriage. I am definitely going to do a 10-15 part Omake series covering the wedding.

Some stuff to note other than the wedding. Apparently Jaws is going through some messy shit and might not be as successful as OTL, but a quick Wikipedia search shows that OTL Jaws had some messy production so perhaps it's par for the course. Gavin seems to be MIA, I guess he's in the background and just didn't appear cause he was never fleshed out? If so my next Omake or two will cover him. Also Todd seemed to be a bit apprehensive and wary about Bruce, but I guess it's just anxiety based off of his sister marrying right after she turned 18 and his mother's troubled marriages?

As for honeymoons, here's my suggestions:
[] Ireland. Take Carrie to visit the old country where you spent your childhood and where the O'Brians come from and explore the Emerald Isle and take in the beauty of the land and people. Visit Cat and some of the other O'Brian relatives and stay the hell away from Northern Ireland and the border counties.
[] France. The nation of romance. George had the time of his life in the country and gives his full recommendation. Split the time between seeing the sights in Paris and going on a romantic tour around the country.
[] Japan. You know the language and it's a beautiful pearl of the East. Vacation in the Kanto region and take in the culture and country.
[] Hawaii. Cliches come from somewhere and Hawaii is the island chain for romance. Explore the island chains and have a very romantic beachtime vacation with Carrie. Ask Elvis for great recommendations.

Unfortunately it being late fall along with the global socio-political instability of the 70's kills a lot of really great honeymoon options, most especially bummed we didn't get married in early fall or summer for Colorado. Top 4 are places I'm down for, but I'm also cool with the Bahamas, although there's plenty of stuff to do in Florida in addition to Disney.

Locking in with Hawaii, just writing in an option that is a little bit more elegant and clear on intentions, while also asking Elvis for more of a request on what to do and where to go instead of demanding some place so that way any generosity can be from him instead of us demanding a vacation home as one grand wedding gift.

That being said part of me is rooting for Disney and Bahamas so good luck to that.

Why not all of the above?

[X] Bruce takes Carrie around the world, to 6 incredible places:
-[x] Hawaii. Cliches come from somewhere and Hawaii is the island chain for romance. Explore the island chains and have a very romantic beachtime vacation with Carrie. Ask Elvis for great recommendations.
-[x] Japan. You know the language and it's a beautiful pearl of the East. Vacation in the Kanto region and take in the culture and country.
-[x] Hong Kong, it's where we got our first break in the film industry, and maybe we can meet old friends
-[x] France, we're going to Disneyland Paris! City of romance.
-[x] Ireland. Take Carrie to visit the old country where you spent your childhood and where the O'Brians come from and explore the Emerald Isle and take in the beauty of the land and people. Visit Cat and some of the other O'Brian relatives and stay the hell away from Northern Ireland and the border counties.
-[x] New York, take them to dad's bar, see the sights for a couple days, maybe see a play or two.

Eh, with 1970's travel and lack of internet for planning and communication, I don't think this is feasible unless Bruce and Carrie are going to take a two month honeymoon.Probably best to limit it to two or three stuff. Someplace romantic, New York, and Ireland.
