Oh, it's already been answered?
...Well, I guess we'd have two lords of Goku-Vegeta if that'd happened, instead.
Hard to divide up the names reasonably otherwise.
Fourth heads a Dragon Ball RP, and that and this share a canon. Thus, he is privy to some information which has not necessarily come up yet. Not that that was a spoiler; it just hadn't yet come up.

Yes. The answer was "It has never happened before".
To amplify this, it bears remembering that the current lordship system is no more than, oh... ten generations old, roughly, plus or minus a few. A lot of things that could theoretically happen to the system, simply haven't had an opportunity to occur yet.

Hey! I just realized!

Jaron wants to murder Dandeer because she makes him think he is going insane. The current leading death vote is telling him he should wait to kill her because she has been telling people that Jaffur is insane.

I believe that has a chance to go over poorly.

...

I am gonna change my vote when I get to a computer.

I would instead suggest voting to dispute that.

Look, sometimes in life you have to do things that you don't want to do. And while we don't want to have Dandeer killed, it is not our place to step in. It is our responsibility as the Scion of Gokun to step back and leave the legalese of the Vegetan people alone.

The agressor is Vegetan, the Aggreived is Vegetan, the Judge and the Jury are Vegetan.

We have no place in stopping whatever happens to Dandeer. It is not only not our place, but doing so is explicitly overstepping our bounds and will cause discord between the clans.

Not to mention, trying to stop this?

It won't work. We will lose.

Unless you think that we can defeat Jaron, Jaffur, Yammar, and our Grandmother.

We might have our father on our side, but I wouldn't count on it.

Oh, and the whole of the Vegetan Society would also be trying to kill her.

So unless you guys think we have the skill to fight off three super saiyans, Jaron who should be close to the same amount of power, and the whole of the other clan single-handedly, then we have to step back and allow things to happen.

Sure, we don't believe that she deserves to die, but IT IS NOT OUR PLACE.

We are not the Vegetan people.

[x] [DEATH] This is not the time to have that argument.

Better to increase our relationship first so that they trust our advice more. It is not a retreat, it is bidding our time. Also, not entirely happy with the conversation options, so here are a few write ins too.

[x][AFTER] Ask about that fight. Jaffur looked like he was barely straining when he blocked Jaron, but they were the same strength. What was that?

Insight on his style. Shit is scary, yo.

[x][AFTER] Clarify if Jaron is, in fact, a sorcerer as well.

[x][AFTER] What do they plan to do about Valentine?

[X][AFTER] Was Dandeer like this before the sealing?

Also @PoptartProdigy how old is Jaffur's sister (we should know since we are Jaron's friend)? At what age are saiyans told about the masquerade? I want to ask about whether it seems Dandeer plans to keep her from saiyan society or not and I am not sure how to Word it.

You're welcome to vote as you wish, but I wanted to bring up that while it may not be your intention, you are coming off kind of manipulative in the way you're arguing in support of your vote.

Sure, I won't disagree.

But... I don't think she has it in her to rise above this.

I think that discovering Jaron's opinions of her... that is going to SHATTER her

I do stand by the idea that killing someone is the least effective act in any situation...

But what I am asking is At what point does living cause Dandeer more pain and suffering than Death? At what point does it become cruel to force her to continue to exist in a world that the people she cares for most want to do horrible, terrible things that even Jaffur is unwilling to speak aloud? And beyond all that, Can we defeat everyone who wants her dead? And can we defeat them all at the same time, when even a single moment is enough for them to kill her? Can we afford to put our life on hold every time that someone tries to kill her? Do we have the sheer time required?

Do we even have the right to interfere without causing even more chaos and death amongst the Exiles? Standing in defense of Dandeer is likely to cause a civil war between the two clans.

that "killing someone is the least effective act in any situation", you come across as utilizing the goodwill generated as such in a fashion somewhat-similar to a bait and switch.

Sorry if this came off at all combative -- I don't believe you're doing so at all intentionally, but I wanted to bring this up in case you weren't aware.

All that said, I would just as well have Kakara push politically for outlawing execution as a whole rather than in this specific circumstance.

The agressor is Vegetan, the Aggreived is Vegetan, the Judge and the Jury are Vegetan.
Actually, I believe that would not the case and that technically speaking, the Judge and Jury would be Berra, but since he was involved, it would instead be Apra and Kakara. Fairly sure this came up previously.

Sigh, I might walk away from this quest for a while, until it gets to less Dandeer related plot threads.

Hm. I'm not so sure about the 'obsessed' vote. Can someone explain to me why that's a good idea?

There isn't one, and the answer, even if he doesn't consciously realize it, is, "Hey, there is the first person in my entire life who might have the potential to treat me like a real, equal human being with no suffocating expectations nor obligations."

I agree, but we both know that the thread is going to vote !HUGS when the time comes, so don't you think it would be nice to have a slightly-less-awful backup contingency ready when the thread suddenly loses its steel at the crucial moment in which we can afford no hesitation?

Lailo, you've made your position perfectly clear. Maybe step it back a bit.

Not to be rude, but can I convince you to change your Valentine vote to mine? It's a similar question, and gives it more of a chance to win.

[][AFTER] Inform Jaffur that if he is released from the Seal, there's a chance his father might as well. Ask for his thoughts on the matter.

I'm just...

Dandeer pushes a lot of my buttons, and while I do stand by the idea that killing people is the least effective act in any situation, I cannot stand the character.

And beyond that...

I'm just... I'm so fucking tired of this plotline.

And the fact that everyone has suddenly decided that the mind raping sorceress who has decided that we are the greatest threat to her and her goals is someone who need to go out of our way and spend the rest of her natural life span to protect from the literal mob is just...

Look, killing someone is least effective act.

Which would be great if we are a dictator who had the right to step in and flat out refuse to allow anyone to kill anyone else.

But we are a child, and there is a legal system. IT IS NOT OUR PLACE to shove ourselves into the legal situation of a woman assualting and mentally raping the Lord and Scion of the Vegetan Clans.

We have nearly accomplished our place in this whole debacle.

We are the Scion of the Gokun people. Our place in this situation is to undo the unlawful actions that were done by the agressor, and make sure that the scion is freed.

That is all we really have the right to do in this situation. And hell, even doing that is simply what is right and not what is legal.

After Jaffur is freed, it should be up to the Vegetan people to handle this.

Because this is about them.

Or to give an analogy.

Say someone kidnapped the president of the united states, and then North Korea stepped up, captured the kidnappers, retrieved and rescued the president, brought the kidnapper before the American Judical system and then declared that because North Korea said so the US isn't allowed to punish the kidnapper.

We are an interloper, an outside force that has stepped in to make a change.

But we should not be acting as judge and jury.

If you guys wanted to try and handle this diplomatically and in a way that didn't involve Dandeer dying, then why did you go out of your way to drop a tactical nuke on the bridge to her releasing the seal of her own free accord.

Everyone flip-flopping on this is so tiring, especially when it comes to the fact that no matter what we do, there is LITTERALLY no way to save her.

Jaffur wants her dead
Jaron wants her dead
Yammar wants her dead
The entire Vegetan clans want her dead

We can fight all we like, but at the end of the day, we are going to lose the battle to keep her alive. Why should we put Kakara's mental health on the line? Why should we put her reputation with everyone on the line for her?

There comes a point when the best action a person can do is to wash their hands of it all.

And Honestly, I feel we should have reached that point for Dandeer a long time ago, and at this point, I feel that getting myself invested in this story when the voters are going to intentionally go to defend someone who they have been fighting to kill for the longest time, at the expense of everything that we have been fighting for is much the same.

I'm gonna back out until the Sealing is over, or until the focus turns away from Jaffur and Dandeer and this toxic nonsense that is going to get Kakara killed.

See ya~

The entire Vegetan clans want her dead

I haven't had the time to follow everything closely, but I believe the majority of the non-Noble or Senzu Vegetans don't want her dead. They are actively unhappy with her, yes, but even for Saiyans there's a big gap between 'i don't like her' and 'off the bitch and let's get pie'.

Poptart even commented that the thread doesn't necessarily fully understand what the average Vegetan thinks, and pointed out that we have neglected actions which could give us that info.

Wow this thread is been been heated for a while. I wouldn't go so far as to say it's toxic(Its not) but it's a bit uncomfortable. There are some very intelligent arguments happening that im interested in reading but maybe people should get a nice snack and cool down? I hope the discussion continues regardless, I'm enjoying reading it

I suspect that what was being hinted at there was the fact that there were Vegetans who were upset with Vegeta and were planning to have him contained or removed before the game even began, possibly by exploiting his habit of beating on Jaffur to have him off him in self defense once he became a Super-Saiyan.

It almost certainly included the Senzu, hence their presence at the transformation training, their head's proximity to achieving the transformation, the entire clan's readiness to rebel in hiding, and their comfort with the idea of keeping Vegeta sealed. They are the next most royal clan after all. Yammar and even Grandma might have been involved since he and the Senzu would be the only ones who knew that he had faked the story about the Talts to get the clan back in line and thus have a pre-existing conspiracy. Lady Vegeta might have also been in on it, though she clearly went off script by sealing Jaffur as well.

It might be something to ask Jaffur about... He was already sneaking around with the Senzu to get himself tested, after all. He may have been in on it.

Are you implying that there may be a conspiracy we didn't initiate or get recruited into?

Inconceivable!

In seriousness, our entire society is already one giant conspiracy. With conspiracy a way of life, I'd not be in the least surprised to learn there are multiple competing conspiracies, within Exile society.
Almost certainly. I bet there are a few economic conspiracies that piggy back the Saiyans conspiracy. After all many Saiyan business owners likely prefer to hire Saiyans.

[X][DEATH] As a precaution due to Dandeer's determination and sorcerous threat, ask their permission for a free, unilateral hand to use our personal judgement to deal with Dandeer and dispense justice as we deem circumstances warrant in pursuit of freeing them and resolving the sealing crisis, explicitly up to and including preemptively executing her in cold blood. Get it said explicitly in full in the highest formal Vegetan vow by both of them with all their authority as aggrieved, son, acting family patron, scion, acting lord, and every other basis of authority any of us can think of.

Who the heck is 'everyone?'

Lailoken has devised one of his usual Brilliant Plans along these lines and it has fairly minimal support.

Aside from that, just about all we have is variations on people who want to roleplay Kakara's preference for non-killing over killing, even if that means standing up for her principles in front of Jaffur. Sure, the primary voice behind the "let's smuggle Dandeer away into hiding" is very loud, but that doesn't mean he represents "everyone."

Me, I'm mostly just in favor of trying to persuade Jaffur/Jaron out of it, because Kakara would try, and because with her ridiculous Communications check she just might have some chance of success.

Because this is about them, it's Vegetan jurisdiction and all... but that doesn't mean that Kakara, Jaffur's single most valuable ally, doesn't have a right to at least try to convince him of things.

If you guys wanted to try and handle this diplomatically and in a way that didn't involve Dandeer dying, then why did you go out of your way to drop a tactical nuke on the bridge to her releasing the seal of her own free accord.
Because not all of us wanted what actually happened, so please stop acting as though we did.
