Will that not happen anymore if we get to the next level of flight or ki control? We should be in complete control of our body. It listens to only us not gravity or centrifugal force.

Dude.

What?

The Laws of Physics are not suggestions.

(Unless you have Sorcery of sufficient power, in which case you can amend them at will)

You know, the more I consider this, the more how much of a freak Frieza was becomes clear to me.
TBf the Legendary Super Saiyin is just as much of a freak and given we've only seen one of them in existence in any given continuity, they seem to qualify for mutant status.

Oh that's an interesting better living through ki idea.

An effect of flight/tk that does little stuff like keep her hair out of her face, or hover books and pencils while reading and whatnot. It's a nice low-key effect.

Kakara can likely already do that, but it isn't natural reflexive habit.

Huh, it seems Berra has been training. When did he reach [exceptional] for the kienzan? Because that is a bit intimidating to say the least.

Berra's in his thirties, and he's a much more enthusiastic warrior than Kakara, so he's had a lot of time to train. He probably has a LOT of techniques that Kakara just didn't know about in Years 1-3, because she'd never seen him use them, or didn't know enough to fully appreciate his skill level in them.

Some time during Year Four, Poptart added the idea that Berra was the royals' designated "Oozaru-buster," specially preparing himself for the prospect of rebels going ape and using the Kaio-ken technique to boost their power to a level competitive with that of super-saiyans. This is almost certainly not a new facet of his character, but it certainly entails him having tools at his disposal that he can usefully use to fight oozaru that match his FPSS form in raw strength if not in agility. Remember how we keep talking about how an oozaru's durability makes them a good choice to use life-draining or damaging powers such as Kaio-ken and the Kikoho? Yeah, a sufficiently reckless rebel ape could use pretty damn high Kaio-ken multipliers, and might have a base power level of up to thirty million to begin with.

Hence Berra's study of the evasion-heavy Krillin style despite being tied for "strongest man in the world." Hence his learning the Destructo Disk, a technique that can disable an oozaru with a single blow- as Vegeta and possibly Goku demonstrated. Hence his studying the Kaio-ken despite how brutally dangerous it is to use it when already channeling the power of a super-saiyan (according to Poptart, anyway).

It all fits together, and Berra's had ample time to develop these techniques to a fine art.

I can understand why the spirit bomb was lost. It is a technique that should allow a bunch of ordinary Saiyans to beat a super Saiyan. Also really it is so powerful and slow that that is little reason to use it most times.

I just realized something terrible that is about to happen. I assume there are Saiyans with enough skill with telepathy to talk to everyone on earth at the same time. It was possible in the show. Now imagine that power in the hands of advertisers. :o

Then again telepath marketing might quickly become a death offense.

Since always? That's been on his sheet from the beginning, or at least as long as I've been here.

Seriously, there hasn't been any changes to his skills since year 2. In fact, the only change I see at all is an edit to the relationship with House Senzu.

Actually, his skill with and responsibility as the anti-Oozaru specialist has been there on his sheet since at least year 2. How do I know that?

Because I helped reformat the character sheets, and there's a copy of the incomplete code earlier in the thread, which includes them.

Can't telepaths hear the thoughts of the person they contact?

Imagine telepathically contacting a million people all at once to interrupt them with an advertisement and getting back half a million replies of "FUCK YOU!" all at once.

I suspect the sheer level of rejection would be actively painful and aversive for the psychic advertiser.

Okay, fuckit. Sorry I said anything.

Nope, telepathy is one-way. You need to combine it with Mind Delve to hear their thoughts as well. Or for the one at the other side to possess Telepathy as well.
Okay, fuckit. Sorry I said anything.
...I get the feeling my post came off condescending/aggressive, which is not what I intended.

...Enough of the saiyans you're talking to will have telepathy that the backtalk would still be devastating if you sent a one-to-thousands telepathic advertisement.

More, "revealed," than, "added," but yes, he is quite formidable.
Goku also didn't teach it to anyone, I think

Or if he did, they failed to pass it on during the Dark Ages

@PoptartProdigy
The former. He's yet to in any incarnation of the show, I don't see why he should change his behavior in the future. (If he in fact does at some point in the future, then bully for him, and that's the day this quest goes full-AU, because that's too big a retcon to swallow.)

Hmm... I'm wondering how many non-Exile Garenhulders there are? The Exile population is 300,000. Looking at RL growth rates, and being a bit conservative, I'm going to guess 3 billion Garenhulders. That's 1 in 10,000.

Assuming 1 in 5 Exiles know Telepathy, that means that out of a random population of 50,000, the telepath would expect only 1 reply.

Of course, Saiyans tend to live close to each other, so by avoid those areas, the odds of contacting a Exile that way decreases by, say, 90%? I believe only like half of the Exiles live amongst humans?

So, as long they only contact people outside of the major Exile concentrations, that'd be 3,000 responses, in exchange for hitting most of the Garenhulders. Split the task up so you only hit 1,000,000 at a time, and you'll contact an average of 1 who could reply Exile each time.

...And I just realised I've spent the last 25 minutes on this due a stray thought.

If he does, it'd most likely be to Uub.

Of course, the Kaio-ken and Spirit Bomb were both King Kai's techniques, and Instant Transmission belongs to the Yardrat, so he might not have taught them out of respect or some such?

Or, you know, no one asked. :p

I know he always had kienzan. But I could have sworn it was at a lower level than exceptional.

Grnted, me swearing on something doesn't amount to much since I break them more often tan not but I still thought it was at competent or talented... though maybe I am confusing it with kaioken? it is at competent and both start with k...

You're probably confusing the two. From when the character sheets were undergoing revision:
Kienzan [Exceptional]: Your father doesn't bring it up when he can avoid it, but you know that this is his option of first resort in his role as OSS.
