So definitely taking 'Set The Record Straight'.

If we were strong enough? I'd say go for it. But the problem is, we've just started on the path to power. I don't think we can afford to increase unrest and gain enemies just yet. Perhaps not come out publicly but are there any private ways we can throw support?

That would be the goal behind a lot of the personal options, eventually.

The longer we leave this concealed the greater the backlash against Kakara will be. Any time she traded on reputation will be subject to attack. Best to deal with this now.

Okay, going to throw a plan proposal together. Going to try for somewhat unconventional options in places, with an eye toward expanding our skill-base such that we can approach future problems in unexpected ways.

Masquerade:
[X]Attend School (Mandatory): Time-consuming, tiring, and the part that you're most likely to be discovered doing. Unfortunately, you really have no choice. Current grades: trending A-. Effect: Attend school.
-[X] Maintain Grades (2 actions): You're good where you are. Let's just get the effort in to stick it out and then focus on other things. Effect: Maintain grades.

Reasoning: Schooling is broad, and broad education can serve to improve overall mental faculties. Also it "keeps our nose clean". 2 actions used.

Saiyan:
[X] Training (Mandatory, 2 actions): You have a responsibility to master the transformation you unlocked last summer. Dad's going to require you to train hard until you manage that. It might take a while, though.
-[X] Train Base Strength (Mandatory, counts as 1 of Training's 2 actions): You can hardly conceive of being at 375 million units. But if Dad has his way, you'll get there soon. Effect: Raise your base form's strength by conventional training.
-[X] Train Super Saiyan Strength (Mandatory, counts as 1 of Training's 2 actions): If 375 is a big number, try 750. By undergoing the specialist training required to become a Full-Power Super Saiyan, you just might hit it. Effect: Through rigorous meditation and endurance training, increase your Super Saiyan strength.

Have to take them anyway! 4 actions used.

[X] A Warrior's Path: being a warrior is about more than brute strength. Master the art of combat to gain your people's respect. Your mindset will hold you back, though.
-[X] Train Your Tail (1 action): It frickin' hurts when somebody grabs that thing. Even Dad was helpless when Jaffur did it. You don't like that. Effect: Train to overcome and work past the sensitivity of your tail, removing a crippling weakness.
-[X] Train Oozaru (1 action): The Giant Ape form is rife with drawbacks, from a complete loss of sanity to a massive growth in size that makes you a huge, slow target. To boot, it doesn't even boost you as much as Super Saiyan at its meanest does. Still, you can't shake the feeling that there's potential there... Effect: once monthly, during the full moon, torture yourself with attempts to bring the Giant Ape form under your full control and to become comfortable in it. You feel like you'd do better with this than most other things in this category.

Tail and Oozaru will probably take a while, but promise to have some excellent dividends. 6 actions used.

[X] Style Training: The mark of a true warrior is one who unifies their various skills and abilities into a cohesive whole. You're not really suited to fighting, but this could help you.
-[X] Research Styles (1 action): There are many styles out there for the eager student to learn. Effect: Go searching for a style that suits you, gaining a comprehensive list of known styles and their effects and then having the opportunity to pick one to begin training. [Hidden Effect]

Better to have more options. 7 Actions used.

[X] The Mysteries: You have always wondered about the strange abilities your people sometimes possess. Nobody expects either of a Scion, and after this summer you feel uncomfortable with sorcery in particular, but you could choose to study here...
-[X] Test for Seer/Magic Abilities (1 action): Do you even have these? Effect: Discover latent Seer or Sorcery abilities. You don't feel quite comfortable with magic after this summer, but you'd still like to know.

If we have the ability, then as distasteful as Magic is, maybe we can figure out, on our own, how to undo the Sealing. 7 regular Actions, and applying Cause Action to this (the motivation is to essentially learn to undo the Sealing).

[X] The Pulse of Life: You are a part of this society, and it's the people who make it tick.
-[X] A Meeting (1 action): Dad tells you that Lady Vegeta would like to speak with you in person about what happened last summer. Effect: Meet with Lady Vegeta and find out what she has to say.
-[X] A Scion's Duties (1 action): You'll moderate these fractious, violent people one day...you'd better start practicing. Effect: Learn the art of diplomacy and Clan management at the feet of your father, improving your Communication Skill and learning more about Clan politics.

Regardless of how Wrong the Sealing was, if the Clans fracture, it'd be worse. Unity is our people's life. 9 regular actions, Cause action, used.

[X] Personal: Sometimes, you just want to do things on your own time.
-[X] Sound out Apra Goku (1 action): Your grandmother has let her skills slip since your father became Lord, but is still a Super Saiyan. What does she think of recent events? Effect: Sound out your paternal grandmother.
-[X] Gentle Soul (1 action): You don't like fighting, and you don't think you ever will. Effect: As you age and mature, take the time to reflect on your thoughts towards fighting and violence, and what they mean for you and your life. Develop "Gentle" trait.

Apra will be more even-tempered than the former Lord Vegeta. She may have insight on multiple things, and may help us understand how to bridge things with our Father without compromising our belief that the Sealing. Was. Wrong. 10 regular actions, Cause action, Driven Action used.

This plan is geared toward starting us on several training efforts that will likely need time to pay dividends, but when they do pay dividends, well....

-[x] Family First (1 action): Some things were said and done last summer between you and your Dad. He's not a superhero to you, not anymore, but he's still your father. You'd like to patch things up. Effect: Repair relationship with Dad.
[X] Personal: Sometimes, you just want to do things on your own time.
-[X] New Tricks (1 action): You are a prodigy in ki use. Surely you should be able to figure out some new techniques. Effect: Discover new ki talents, if applicable.
-[X] Gentle Soul (1 action): You don't like fighting, and you don't think you ever will. Effect: As you age and mature, take the time to reflect on your thoughts towards fighting and violence, and what they mean for you and your life. Develop "Gentle" trait.

Just a heads-up, a few of your vote boxes are missing brackets or have spaces in the brackets. Vote Tally won't count them.

@KnightDisciple: I like your plan, in general.

I do, however, want to do something with the 'Gentle' trait. Right now, it's nothing but a malus. I don't particularly care if it's developing or removing it, but I want to support a plan that does SOMETHING with it.

Perhaps you could drop Hand-to-Hand in favor of one of the Gentle applications, followed by adding new Ki talents as a personal action?

Actually, I think I'm going to drop our Grades to Maintain, and add the one for the Gentle trait.

I'm going to save Ki work for the next set of yearly actions.

I like it, though I believe you need to specify whether we are testing for sorcery or seer? (It says one action for each, so by spending one action I believe that's one or the other this time)

@PoptartProdigy can you confirm this?

If so, I'm going to test for Sorcery/Magic this turn, since, you know, that's more important for breaking the Sealing.

Heh, that's actually an interesting thought. "Be careful throwing your punches around here- there's a pitchblende vein nearby."

"Brass knuckles? Nah, I prefer lithium deuteride."

Anyway, developing Great Ape and Power Ball would be interesting. It might also allow us to have our cake and eat it too by developing "gentle", but still turning it off in combat through the transformation's natural aggression. At the same time, "gentle" and her human side could make it a lot easier to control. The greater mass might also better tolerate Kaio-ken in the same way it enabled the original Super-Saiyan to handle his ascension when his ordinary form could not. A Super-Saiyan Great Ape is already more powerful than SS3, and one spamming teleport and Kaio-ken would be a frightening combatant indeed.

She might also work on the fusion dance. Betarel was noted as being exceptionally strong, and it wouldn't technically be breaking the rules if he transformed into Super Saiyan while they were fused.
