*spit take* EXCUSE ME!? Are you seriously equating that amateur trash to the majesty of the Ginyu Force's poses!?
*smirking* I assume you've all voted, then? I'm away from my computer. Would somebody care to tally?
He was trying to get enough authority that he could challenge the Lords....I'm kinda confused by the winning vote.
Exactly what did he do that was 'Reaching above his station'?
He was acting to try and prevent the Saiyans from falling into Chaos.
Nom nom.I'm willing to spend my cookie to ensure this doesn't blow-up in our faces.Vote Tally : Sci-Fi - Dragon Ball: After the End | Page 141 | Sufficient Velocity

[X] Don't accept or refuse his apology.
-[X] Help him to his feet.
-[X] Explain why.
--[X] He says he will accept punishment for reaching above his station but there is something else he must answer for first; taking advantage of the distress of his fellow saiyans in his search for power. Sincé he is willing to offer his life in penance, you will take it: he shall dedícate it to help others whenever he can until he makes amends for what he did. Then, on the day you become Lady, he will come to you and you shall pass judgement.

[X] Accept his apology.
-[X] We see he meant well and bear no hard feelings for his misjudgement
-[X] ...and give him a punishment.
--[X] He shall retire from his position, choosing a worthy (possibly temporary) successor. He will spend a year living among the families of the faith that will accept him, seeing what they need firsthand, and do what he can to aid them. After the year is up, the faith itself will make a final decision to leave him stripped of his position or return him to it. It's not just us he has unintentionally wronged, after all.

[X] Refuse his apology.
-[X] ...but offer no punishment.
-[X] I cannot accept your apology, for you have done nothing wrong. Instead, you should be commended, commended for being able to see the dark clouds on the horizon and knowing that fractured and apart the Saiyan race may indeed come undone by storm that is coming. You saw the darkness, and you saw our frailty, and acted to be the light in the darkness, the beacon of hope that would allow us to weather this storm. And that is no crime. Even if the way you went about your actions was wrong, the intent to help, the intent to strengthen us all - that is not, that cannot be wrong. Even as you say that you are not, and cannot be the light that keeps this approaching darkness at bay, Then I ask that you be the shutters of the lantern, to keep the heavy winds from blowing out the light, to be the oil that keeps the light going bright. We cannot stand alone and apart in these times... So instead I ask of you this -- will you help me to not only protect the faith, but to help protect and guide us all.

I like what he tried to do with it and the costume design wasn't bad. The coloring on the other hand... the poses and he did the "deep voice" too hard.Am I the only one here who actually liked Saiyaman? Because yes, I joked about his dress code but it wasn't that bad. Bulma thought it was cool too and she and Gohan are supposd to e the two smartests members of the group (not counting Dr. Brief, who didn't give his opinión).
You remember incorrectly.
He conspired and manipulated the situation so that he could gain power over members of the faith, a fifth of the saiyan population, in order to gain political power akin to that of the lords. Which is reason enough for us to be pissed since he tried to usurp us, and is made worse by the fact that him and the Faith believe the Lords rule because of divine authority....I'm kinda confused by the winning vote.
Exactly what did he do that was 'Reaching above his station'?
He was acting to try and prevent the Saiyans from falling into Chaos.
"I made this happen," says Celeran, shame in his voice. "I conspired to raise myself up as a true authority above the people of the Faith. I saw the chaos of our people, and inaction of those meant to protect us from ourselves, and I concluded that I was the only one who could save us. In my hubris, I sought to set myself against those touched by the Mandate of Heaven. I forgot who you are. I forgot that for every evil, there is a good. To my shame, I forgot that the gods never leave us without somebody to protect us from those who fail. When our society crumbled around us, Lady Garla the First, Princess of All Saiyans, stepped forward to reform our society. When Lord Oni Goku's cruel reign threatened to consume all, there was Prince Carrick Vegeta to set himself against that monster. When I saw our only Lord and our Matriarch and Patriarch looking upon the chaos of our people and doing nothing, I thought I was the balance set against them. I was wrong. It was you."
He raises his head -- not to look in your eyes, but enough to bring his forehead off the floor. "Where I sought to steal power like a thief in the night, you have stepped forward and with simple words undone my schemes. Where I thought to become great by stealth, you simply are. My Lady Scion, I am sorry. You are the one who will step forward to save us from this madness. I see that now. I will not shame myself again by daring to suppose when or even how -- but I have, in my arrogance, forgotten that every Scion is ordained by those with the touch of True Sight upon them. You have been set to some day lead fully half of our people for a reason. I see that reason now. Your words are clear and earnestly meant. They burn with conviction. You shame me, Scion. And you don't even mean to. You will some day be a better and worthier leader than I ever could be. I beg you for your forgiveness..." He lowers his head back to the stage and deliberately drops his power level to near-zero. "...but if you wish it, I freely accept your punishment."
And why should Kakara care about that more then the fact that he was trying to help people? He conspired and manipulated the situation so that he could gain power over members of the faith, a fifth of the saiyan population, in order to gain political power akin to that of the lords. Which is reason enough for us to be pissed since he tried to usurp us, and is made worse by the fact that him and the Faith believe the Lords rule because of divine authority.
Perhaps it is not the best analogy since the methods Celeran used are not that bad but imagine it as akin to a charácter from Game of Thrones, say, Littlefinger, manipulating what happens to gain power, only that he does so because of an ideal he believes in instead of ambition like, I dunno, capitalism. Even if he did believe that he could save westeros with the power of capitalism, he would still be a dude from a knightly house trying to become Lord Paragon equivalent from smallfolk support. We would be the high nobility and him our vassal and we would be naturally pissed at him since he has not the blood or caste for that power.
Because for all that he is pious he is still taking orders from a house involved in three rebellions in the last two hundred years and tge social situation is a powder keg that might blow into civil war if you push too hard? Because even though we hate Dandeer the faithful were working themselves into a mob? Because there are at least three full power super saiyan that would not take kindly to it, one of which sees it as heresy and another slaughtered the last house to rebel? Because he is still manipulating people for a power grab? Because his idea of helping was to stand against those in power, our family among them, and the examples he gave about similar situations in the past were resolved by killing and violence? And why should Kakara care about that more then the fact that he was trying to help people?
No, no, you missed the point: why should Kakara care about the "rising above his station" part?Because for all that he is pious he is still taking orders from a house involved in three rebellions in the last two hundred years and tge social situation is a powder keg that might blow into civil war if you push too hard? Complications. It's never happened given that the Lords' presence tends to remove the need of the transformation, but in theory they'd simply be banned from accessing it ever again.@PoptartProdigy
What happens if a loyalist saiyan hits SSJ from trauma when fighting against a rebellion? Say the rebels kill their spouse or something?

Probably not, given that the Lords are less concerned with that than the precedent set by an unrestricted SSJ. Again, it's never come up, but if it ever did...Would they still be permitted to train their base power past the (now-broken) non-SSJ cap?
