That said, we know Dazarel has been affected by magic - he's been Sealed. I'd be willing to bet we need more than a casual check.

Also, consider that his PL is at least 20 million. Compare to the Sorcerers we are familiar with (tens or hundreds of thousands) and it means that either Namekians have gained innately high power levels (in the millions, such that a relatively low amount of training can get them to 20 million) or he has focused on training his ki and probably learned only a relatively low amount of magic.

It's possible (indeed, probable) that he does not fit nicely into Saiyan guidelines, but if they are even generally applicable it's likely this is a warrior who dipped into magic, not a mage who dipped into combat.

Actually, I'm also in favor of resting now, plugging holes later. Kakara needs it. Spying on us right now isn't actually going to give any useful information, and we're not currently doing much that can be sabotaged. But I very much want to at least try to take care of this before we do anything that actually matters.

Bob, while I appreciate that you tend to take a humorous approach with your posts, this one is frustrating. I feel like you're either being entirely serious, in which case I feel like you're either ignoring or missing my point (I mean, Kakara has no body right now, I'm pretty clearly not talking about physical rest), or if you're "just joshing" and thus are ****ing with me, which I can't really take in good humor right now.

In my opinion, Sight is absolutely not like rest. As well, rest is productive.
This whole idea that "sleep is wasted time" is a horrifically toxic modern brain bug.
Bad enough we cheated so often with the Masque. Now we don't have that. We are all Mind, and Sight seems likely to strain that.

We need to rest.

Ah, but just because he's after the saiyans doesn't mean he isn't causing problems. The Nomads were going from place to place: did the Enemy wreck other planets trying to get them, and so interfere?

Or perhaps the Enemy went to him, trying to get his resources to round up the Nomads.

The Sorcerers we deal with don't bother with training, while doing so out here considering the galaxies state may not be an option, and you forget that Namekians have longer lifespans, meaning more time to train both.

Also, we don't know how easily magic is picked up by other races, nor how well their training is. Saiyans might just be bad at it both innately and education wise comparatively.

We also don't even know how he does his magic. It could operate with a vastly different system of rules and methods. It might well be easier to learn and achieve at least competency in.

I can definitely agree with the reasoning behind relax. Kakara has just had an enormously shitty day, she needs time to decompress and come to terms with her new situation. I'm a little worried about letting Dazarel the formerly psychic dragon run around in our generous host's mind, but I honestly doubt that even he could screw us over in the time it takes Kakara to relax, let out her pent up emotions, and then go back to her regularly scheduled training with a vengeance.

I apologize. It was an attempt at humor, more along the lines of 'take this thing to the (il)logical conclusion, and see where it gets us'. I'm likely to vote for rest myself.

That's exactly the sorts of things I meant when I said that it was likely the Saiyan guidelines didn't necessarily apply. I just wanted to nip in the bud the groupthink I started to see forming that 'can use magic in any way' = 'can use magic usefully to our goals, in opposition to Dandeer's'.

Because we KNOW that Dandeer is enormously skilled by Saiyan standards (and possibly galactic, if we can trust what Darazel has said - which we can't). It's entirely possible that the galactic mages are utterly incapable of telling much about what she's done to anyone in particular. It's also entirely possible they'd be able to laugh off her best shots. We don't know, and we have no good way to learn short of taking one of them to Garenhuld and trying. It won't even help if they Mind Delve us, because we don't know enough about Garenhuld magic to give them any amount of understanding.
