We've actually gone to Otherworld before. We don't know if being a Shade changes things, but we're supposedly able to go pretty much anywhere, even if we couldn't physically reach that place. Otherworld (and, therefore, the afterlife of the Dragon Ball verse) is a location that physically exists, so we should be able to at least temporarily visit and see what the Kais and other deities have to say.
… We've already used the Sight to visit Gohan, though.
I know that but we probably won't be allowed to stay for any lenght of time.

@NavySeel

That could well be the case, but Beerus hasn't Hakai'ed the fuck out of us yet. This indicates that either our impromptu visits to heaven have his support, oooorrr he went to sleep again. At any rate, we should at least be allowed to stay long enough to explain to Shin and Elder WTF happened.

That was a great update. IIRC this is Kakara's first use of Communication to hurt someone (though she has used it offensively before).
[ ] Old friends. Androids?
[ ] New friends. Not a clue
[ ] Old family. Gohan?
[ ] New family. The theoretical saiyans Dazarel mentioned living out in the galaxy?
[ ] Old enemies. Frieza? Haven't caught up with Super, don't know if he's in Hell or not
[ ] New enemies. The incoming aliens
[ ] Those above. Heaven or some of the gods
[ ] Those below. Hell
I'm almost tempted to roll a dice for this, but I'll give a go of guessing who these might be, going from a perspective of time relating to the current period of saiyans rather than specifically Kakara. So the androids would be old friends rather than new to Kakara, for example.

couple of free shots at Dandeer and Dazarel on your way out.
Does as far as I can tell grabbing his mental consciousness and yanking him along with us count as a free shot?

I dunno, what I do know is that we're cracking open his head and taking his psi knowledge are recompense. Who knows maybe he has secrets that will let us grow our power in astral form.

I know that but we probably won't be allowed to stay for any lenght of time.
Yeah, but we don't need too...hopefully we can just stay long enough to either ask for training tips, or good training spots, if we end up going.

Aaaanyways, plans. Let's assume, for the moment, that @NavySeel is right, and my plan to train with Goku and friends no-shows on account of Beerus being a dick. What then? The next best option is to find the androids. However, what if we're wrong? What if the person who kicked the alien's ass wasn't actually 18? What should we do then?

Discuss.

It's pretty much confirmed that it was 18.

I think they're the Old Friends. Heck, with the possible exception of Dende, many of the ones our ancestors knew would probably be alive.

I think finding the Saiyans currently out there might be cool. Either they've found a way to hide from the enemy in the middle of the galaxy - which we want - or the Enemy isn't chasing every random Saiyan it detects, which is worth knowing.

>Implying that anyone can use Dragonballs as casually as in canon
It's a thematic issue. This setting has a "death is a revolving door" thing going. If you can't be raised, you can still be talked to, learned from, asked for advice, come back as a spirit in a crucial moment, become a weird cyborg-thing, regenerate from a single Cell...

My comment was mostly a joke though. I'm not going into detail, just saying that we shouldn't consider Death a permanent obstacle as long as someone survives.

This. In this world, dying is only really a problem if you let it be one.

To be fair, Nega-Dandeer Quest KNEW she was a Seer, and apparently understands mind projection, so it's her/our own damn fault for not warding Dandeer against mind projection.
Actually, based on statement and reaction, I don't think she did:
She sighs and turns back to you. "So my wayward apprentice-"

"I am NOT your apprentice-!"

"-told you some things he was able to scry," she says, looking bored. "I don't see why you're even bothering to mention this. You have to know that's a quick fix. Snip, snip." She makes a scissors motion with her fingers.
You take hold of the edges of a vision fluttering in the space around you, just enough to let your eyes film over white. Dandeer flinches back at the sight, and you purposefully refrain from tracking her, instead staring blankly off into space.
She may very well have simply given Carrick instructions to sabotage royal efforts and/or other Seers, without any knowledge it'd apply to us. And Carrick, as seen, isn't doing anything not ordered.

God, I love that Jaffur v Kakara fight. I think it might be my favorite so far in this quest. I'm pretty pumped for what's to come.
