I'd strongly prefer the rolls not be after the update - I think it'd be harder to process them in the wake of the story. I have a weak preference for in the update over before it, but it's near-negligible.
 
I want to see the rolls (as it seems does everyone who has commented) and I'd prefer them to be in or before the update. If before, I'd like a short (factual, no-frills) description of what the roll is for (such as 'Distracting Dandeer, Deceit check) but one that doesn't really ruin the full effect of the story.

If they're in the story, I'd like the spoilered as opposed to invisitext, but I can deal with either without complaint.
 
Oh, huh. I just realized that technically, Kakara never actually learned, IC, that Dandeer was behind the assassins and the terrorists. Which renders that part of the plan impermissible. That was OOC information which I shared in order to give y'all some insight on how you could have uncovered reasonable cause to act more openly against Dandeer. All of that's a shame, because I really like the part of the update I currently have written wherein Kakara uses that information.

Hm. Now what am I to do about this?

You could retcon it as something Future vision!Kakara said. That has the least changes, in-thread, and lets you keep the bit you like.

It does, but Poptart super does not like retcons.

@PoptartProdigy, AFTER this post, and any immediate salt from it, and any immediate aftermath, and the next post, are all resolved... I would like to read this alternate-history thing you have written in which Kakara reveals that she knew about the assassins and whatnot.

You can still SHOW it to us even if you don't actually post it as a 'canon timeline' update. As part of the extended DVD release, as it were.
 
Write it as if it is a shot in the dark and she guessed based on some reaction Dandeer had? Or roll to see if she can guess Dandeer's motives? Or have Kakara's "This is why you suck" speech happen after Dandeer brags a bit? Roll to see if she gets a hint/feeling about it?

Hm. This actually raises an interesting point: at what point should the players' insights become Kakara's insights? For that matter, given how the players came by this information, does this count as their insight at all?

I know several people speculated that Dandeer was responsible for the incidents, but nobody ever seemed sure, and it never got confirmed. That said, Kakara is very smart, she now has more information about Dandeer and her methods than ever before, and again, multiple people suspected based on information Kakara possesses.

...I admit, I'm tempted to let Kakara figure it out, at least as a shot in the dark.

...whoops, mixed up the parts that got revealed IC and OOC, I thought Future Kakara had told her.
