Please, how could anyone believe we hate supers when we're obviously dating Shego? Doom is clearly just a jealous bachelor.

More actionably, if we want to give him a hard time, exposing Hawk would both seriously hurt his intel actions and his PR. Fight fire with fire, and make them spend actions patching things up; Doom, especially, is far more reliant on public opinion than we are.

If we can, I'd rather flip Hawk. Flipping him get's us access to a lot of Doom's secrets, and someone who can get us proof, and, probably, knowledge of his other advisors.

Doom is so filthy that wrecking his rep will not be hard, and with our genius we have lot's of ways to improve our rep. It's an issue and one we should probably handle, but Hawk has a lot of potential, and if we can flip him he's worth a lot more then a little rep loss.

.......

Although, has the Cog deal finished or are the two Zaibatsu companies still building them for him? Haven't caught up yet, but I had an idea there.

So assuming that the remaining Interludes don't chance much here's what I'm thinking for next turn:

Martial
[ ] Deal with 'The Resistance'
-Dennis, Hego or nobody

We need to deal with this before it potentially becomes a problem, I know some people waned !ax on this but his "spend time with dad" personal actions is probably one of the few ways we can improve Goofy's Loyalty while still having him on an action

Diplomacy
[ ] Update the City Council
-Goofy

We need to catch up on Diplomacy and Goofy is still our best choice for that

Stewardship
[ ] Develop a new social media platform
-Mirage

A good way to combat Doom's bullshit as well as gather information and just generally gain more influence and having Mirage on it just because she's our tied best Stewardship hero and her high Diplomacy score might help with designing and marketing a social network

[ ] Express Delivery
-Wile E.

Makes some other Stewardship actions easier almost certainly including relocating the castle and Wile E. is the obvious choice

[ ] Buy out a rival corporation
-[ ] Lee Industries
--LOVEMUFFIN

A useful company, low DC and a good chance to get Janus Lee as a hero unit we should do it now before someone else's buys them out

[ ] Wing the Hawk
-[ ] Expose Hawk
--Russ

A nice fuck you to Doom and exposing one of his subordinates as a major criminal right after he called us out would call his accusations into doubt

[ ] Investigate the cape scene
-Our new hero, probably Tobe or mampybe Momokase

We already wanted to do this to be better informed but now it's even more important

Learning
[ ] Research Dino Domestication
-Jumba

Keeps Jumba happy, is useful, gets Khan a better eventual mount and is just generally awesom

[ ] Improve Doof OS if it's an option
-Von Drake

We need to keep up with ENCOM both for PR and Tron stuff

Occult
[ ] Research alchemy
-Janna

Currently our lowest DC Occult action, probably pretty useful and Janna is the only choice
@jonasquinn, this is not a spur of the moment thing, I replied to one of your posts like an hour ago talking about how I very much wanted to keep pursuing the magical temple questline and if we're delaying Chicken Itza for a turn there is only one way to do that. As far as I'm concerned, the more magic we can learn before the auction, the better, and I'm ultimately willing to accept no-hero rolling for Alchemy a few times in lieu of any actually low-DC options.

With three turns to try, the odds would be in our favor to unlock Alchemy before the auction started. There is the question of what a critfail would do, but I doubt it would kill Doof or anything, so it's probably fiiine.
I see where you're coming from but I vehemently disagree, yes the more magic we have before the auction the better I agree but not to the extent of going into a dangerous quest half cocked

Between doing Chicken Itza the turn after next, whatever we can get from ordinary Occult actions, potentially getting the castle and maybe even whatever we can get from Toffee we'll have more than enough magic stuff without risking it

Plus doing Alchemy without a hero only has a 20% chance of success and a 40% chance of crit failure, those are very bad odds and almost guaranteed to go badly
(Also, talking about how Janna's not as powerful as she could be? A quest with her and Khan on it gets a Martial bonus of 97. And Khan lowers all of the DCs by 10. They'll make do.)
Thats purely Martial which Khan basically covers by himself, the issue is that Janna is our only hero with an Occult score meaning that her bonus is the only bonus we get

That means we'd be going to a magical hidden temple with a total Occul bonus of 22 when we have an action available that can almost certainly improve that

Hmmm. Shouldn't Max's loyalty actually be 10, not 30 at the moment? Although that should be 15 next turn as the 'worst trip ever' malus decays.
10(Job) + 5(Evil) + 5(Benefits) + 10(Funny) + 5(Retreat) = 35

35 - 5(Kook) - 15(Trip) = 15

If my math is right, Max's loyalty should be 15 for this last turn, and 20 for the upcoming turn as the Trip malus degrades a step.

Although, has the Cog deal finished or are the two Zaibatsu companies still building them for him? Haven't caught up yet, but I had an idea there.

I think the last we've heard is that the Cogs are still being built? I dunno, I don't remember any announcement about them officially being rolled out, although that may just be my faulty memory.

Doom is building them. He's partnered with Zaibatsu companies to make it easier, but he is the one building them.

Wait... Who used XP for this?
Someone decided to put their points towards Fred's action. After guessing where female von drake was from a few seconds after someone else.

If we aren't doing the chicken izta this turn i think we would do better having her research other occult heros. We currently only have the one and its really limiting us right now.

It is harder than alchemy but the payoff is better to I imagine.

Hey @Made in Heaven I don't mean to be a bother or anything, and I also hate to make assumptions, but how are you handling character's age and what they do? The youngest hero units we all have are high school graduates/ college dropouts right? 18 and up. I'm just asking because if I'm assuming correctly and we are getting Tobe as the free hero, which is awesome, I realized that he would be the youngest hero in our employ. It's been forever since I watched a lot of Pucca but I remember from the show that Tobe is only like two or three years older than Pucca's love interest Garyu. A quick wiki-walk tells me that Garyu is 12/13, which makes Tobe 14 to 16 years old.
Young...
Are ages adjusted in this universe?

[ ] Complete a mission for the government
82

To be continued in Interlude: Licensing to Kill
US Government
[ ] Recruit Talent
DC 60
82+32+36=150
Critical Success

To be continued in Interlude: Licencing To Kill

Hmm... just realized this, but this just revealed something. One, while Russ' "Complete a mission for the goverment" roll is all we see on our end, the rival report shows us that it also adds in his Intrigue stat as well as someone else's Intrigue stat, so whenever we send him off to do a mission in the future, we must remember that these rolls always have a base bonus of 68.

Wait... Who used XP for this?

Someone just decided to give Fred some xp a while ago.

From my understanding, each setting took place at least one year before the quest started, up to ten years at max, so Tobe could easily be twenty six here... at max. But, still, he probably won't just be fourteen/sixteen.

Seeing the Rival Reports. There are four things that actually matter to us.

-Kronos, uhum, Olympia Deciding that they want by gones be by gones and settle down any enmity between us. Considering they also need to deal with Dozens of Criminal Organization and the Goverment opening shops in their land. It is problably safe to assume that that we shouldn't worry about them for a while.

-Judge Doom Social Attacking us is indeed bad for us and needs to be handled immediately. Public image are hard to get rid of and considering that we are planning to reach out to Shego in a few turns that is full of Supers....well like I said we need to handle it immediately. We also can't visibly respon to this as while it may calm down the general populace, it also will create an image of us being weak and can be lead around by simple propaganda. We should stay silent, not commenting about it except showing that we can offer results while readying another big news to distract the mass. How about exposing Hawk then? Like I said earlier succeeding this should land Doom in political scandal and with all eyes on him right now after Mass Press, his reputation will go downhill in speed of light while the mass will question his earlier speech.

ENCOM being successfull. While concerning as Social Media Domination is very important. Our only way to combat this is by releasing a brand new social media to replace it and the perfect time to do it had gone pass sadly. We now need to do something big to combat this and we have the perfect research waiting down the line. Dinosour entertainment. With us being the only provider it should be a big hit on the populace, not to mention if we assign the entertainment Master the Toons this should clear things up with Doom Slander and ENCOM superiority over the internet if we wait for a couple of turns to release it all in one big wave.

-Toffee approaching us. THIS need to be handled SERIOUSLY and IMMEDIATELY. We don't exactly know what did he want with us, but he represent the very important figure to Magical Masquerade, and other Dimensions. I am not saying to agree to do whatever he says, but that whatever it is we should consider it's every pros and cons and respon to it accordingly. Beside that? Nothing else then to wait until the interlude.

Beside these four everything else is either had nothing to do with us or that we are already planning to do it.

So if we don't get her ( I think our new hero is the pucca ninja) the Chief ninja is on the short list on to get

Interlude: Friends You Haven't Met
You sigh in relief as you collapse into your office chair. Someone or other insisted on buying you something ergonomic, for the slouch, and boy do you appreciate it now. 4:30 am train with Khan, 8am help vet your new spies with the Secret-inator. 10:30 work on your admin AI, 12:15 working lunch with 'Ludivine' to go over active projects. 1pm promote experienced scientists to H.A.T.E.B.A.G.E.L. 3pm make sure Janna hasn't burned down the esoteric research wing. You are exhausted. Thankfully, the only thing left on your calendar is a meeting with… huh.

You finally manage to page the receptionist after landing in the mint bowl a few times. Curse that mint bowl. "Hey uh, Janice, do you have any idea why I have an unlabeled meeting in my calendar for two seconds from no-"

Knock Knock.

"Oh, that must be them. Go ahead, let them in."

The door to your office swings wide only a second later, revealing a rather unusual sight. The man before you is tall, handsome, with tousled black curls and a genially impish grin. He's dressed in a tan business suit, accented by orange. An otherwise modern appearance is accented by a large top hat set jauntily on his head.

"Dr. Doofenshmirtz! A pleasure to meet you at last!" the man smiles.

"It is? Uh I mean, thank you, thank you very much. But uhhh… who are you?"

"Why me? My name is Kalabar, Heinz! May I call you Heinz? I'm here on behalf of a very special someone!"

"Who's that?"

"Why, I think you already know! Why don't you check your wallet?"

Deciding to humor the jovial man, you take your wallet out and look through it. You really aren't sure what the heck he's talking about.

"No? Can't find it? I could have sworn it was there. Hmm. Have you perhaps checked…" the man reaches behind your ear, and pulls out a small black card. "Back here?!?!"

"Wow! Are you some sort of magician?"

The man's smile grows wider before he hands the card to you. "Something like that."

You look down. It's a black card embossed with a single word in simple white lettering. You have seen it before! It says Tᴏғғᴇᴇ.

"Oh! You work for that lizard lawyer guy!"

"Oh, not a lawyer my friend, but a businessman! And he has a proposition for you."

"Huh, interesting." You remember the lizard from the Gala. He seemed a bit offputting and mysterious, but certainly a lot more approachable than some of the wingnuts running the country nowadays. "What did he have in mind?"

"Toffee happens to have his fingers in a number of pies, Mr. Doofenshmirtz. Seth Supplies Co. is the leading producer of staple crops in the American Southwest, and his New Mewni Investments is a major charitable donator."

Intrigue Check: Do you remember anything about the New Mewni Economic Investment Zone?

You think for a moment. A vague, distant memory bubbles to the top of your head.

"Wait. Wasn't NMEIZ involved in some sort of funding thingy last year?"

"Ah." Kalabar says, taken aback. "Yes, that was a rather unfortunate scandal. You see, one of the local authorities we'd trusted with allocation of funds ended up funneling some of the wealth into his own black accounts. Very regrettable, you understand how slimy some politicians can be." His faltering smile returns in full force. "Thankfully, the guilty parties have been dealt with."

"Uh huh." You respond, withholding judgement. "So what exactly does Mr. Toffee have in mind?"

"We know you've made great strides in combating the current food crisis here in Doofania." Kalabar replied. "But we also know that you've been forced to substitute a number of non-traditional foodstuffs to make up for the ah, sudden lack of farmland. However! Seth Supplies is the number one exporter of corn in the continental US, and we are prepared to provide you with raw product at reduced rates, subsidized by NMI."

"Corn?"

"Why yes! Maize has been a staple crop across the continent for thousands of years. But we at New Mewni have our own proprietary strains, capable of growing corn bigger, hardier, and sweeter, able to grow across California and even in bone-dry Arizona. Just imagine it Doof- your people enjoying their bratwurst with creamed corn, corn on the cob, corn syrup! Seth Supplies rakes in a tidy profit, and our subsidies grant both of us some mutual good will. It's a win for everyone!"

You think it over. It does seem like a pretty good deal. You'd be getting a much more pleasant and varied diet for your citizens, improved relations, and some goodwill on all sides. It's almost too good.

"Why don't you send me some documents." You suggest. "I'll give them a look over."

"Of course, we'd be happy to!" Kalabar stands up, donning his hat before giving you a firm handshake. "A pleasure meeting you! And I do hope we'll have cause to work together in future."

"Likewise. I know the place is a bit of a maze, what with the deathtraps and all. Can I show you the way out?"

"No need, I'll find my own way." Kalabar says with a final grin. Then he spins around and struts out the door.

"Well that was nice." You say to yourself as you look forward to a quiet evening. You're just about to sit down when you hear another knock. "Oh huh, Mr. Chocolate Bar must have gotten lost after all." You walk back over, but when you get there, Kalabar is nowhere to be seen. Instead, your most mischievous intern Janna is waiting for you.

"Oh, Miss Janna. Do you need some help with the last of the artifacts? Did someone turn blue again?"

"Nope." Janna says lazily.

You begin to feel nervous. "Then uh… why are you here?"

"Oh, just my weekly wallet theft." She grins as she holds up your purple pocketbook.

"Not again!" You complain. "Give that back!"

You chase after her, but unfortunately she's slightly too fast.

"Relax Doof, I just wanna see what you got in here." She says before rifling around. "Ooh, what's… this…" she slowly trails off, pulling out a neat black card.

You snatch the wallet back while she's distracted. "Well if you must know, it's a business card for this lizard I met at the Sands Gala. Apparently, he wants to enter some business agreements with me. Very serious, adult, boring." You finish with a frown, hoping she'll get the hint.

Janna drops the card onto your table. Then she folds her hands behind her head. "Hey Doof. Could I give you some advice?"

"Ugh… yeah sure, I guess."

"Don't."

Without another word, Janna turns and leaves your office.

It might be a good idea to Expose Hawk and then a few turns later get rid of him. Everyone would assume it was Doom if all went well.

Depending on the rolls, we might be able to get Toffee or Xanatos to do it.

Edit: Oh. Oh my.

I guess when your only choice is to lose your one occult hero or not (and they have the best magical artifact we just got) it might make the choice pretty easy.
