...guys. I've been knocking something around for a while. We'll have to work up to it, but...

We brought back Temujin. You know, a dude that's been dead for nearly 800 years.
Can we bring back anyone else with work? Can we do it repeatedly?
I mean... if we want Heroes... there are a lot of recent graves to plunder. And giving them a chance to make a reversal on their foes...

Project: MERCY.
Just think about it.

No. You cannot. Genghis Khan was an exception and not the rule in regards to reviving dead people.

Well, it's nice to see that Sinatron doesn't hold a grudge. Him and Evelyn actually seem pretty good, maybe we should consider adding them to our Council of the Sane list?

I have no idea what the fliberty gibbets ENCOM sacrificed to get that good a roll on their OS, but it is on. We've got effectively three learning actions per turn, time to step DoofOS up a notch or several.

Judge Doom's focus on super heroes is ...weird. Like, that just came out of nowhere. Is there someone else behind him, did he enter into talks with Kronos Olympia Corp? I suppose that might make sense, he's been in a bad position for several turns now. he might have felt pressed enough to actually try and work with someone else.

Fredzilla's inclusion is cool.

What the heck did Russ even do???

Toffee is, well. We've been worrying about him and his extra-dimensional capabilities for a while. At least now we can get a good idea about his personality. And maybe if we're lucky he might even approach us for a partnership? He looks to be doing fine on Earth, but he might be struggling in other dimensions? This is assuming he's not going to try and pull a Ludo on us, anyway.

Looks like DOR-15 is starting to expand their influence a bit. We might have to slap that down if they keep going. Can't give an inch to those mind controllers.

Xanatos is doing absolute work. The only references to Shengxiao I can find online is something about the Zodiac, but an Encantus is pretty much a cross between a magic 101 textbook and magical wikipedia from what I understand. Want. Want so bad.

And that random event roll... it's absolutely worrisome that we're once more storing bad rolls, but at least we got a free Hero Unit.

So who's our greatest enemy again?
Doom is officially Most Hated Enemy, iirc. Shego got bumped up to Greatest Rival and Syndrome's most likely dead, so I think that's right.

Can we bring back anyone else with work? Can we do it repeatedly?
It's been clarified several times that we can't, unfortunately. Otherwise Perry would be back among the living already.

Edit: Tobe'd

Huh. Extra-dimensional human poacher? Magic perhaps?

It's monsters Inc. With the bad end for that movie they are kidnapping children to extract their screams for power.

Oddly enough I'm rooting for gantu. Neat.

You've received a gift basket on the front steps of DEI, loaded to the brim with chocolates, wine, and fruit. Attached to a completely ordinary poker chip is a simple note. 'No hard feelings.' In addition to the edibles you've found a phonograph of 'Sinatra's Greatest Hits', signed 'To My Number One Fan, Francis Monogram. Frank Sinatra.' After quite thoroughly checking the basket for bugs or traps, you can confirm that it is, in fact, a legitimate gift with no hidden surprises.

How does her mind control tech work?

Could there be something bad on the phonograph for the major?

And yet, he's moving in favor of hero legislation. Every bad thing he pins on this toon cape, is a bad thing that gets pinned on heroes. Intrigue is a concern. Perhaps we could reach out to Toffee in that regard.

No, because he will pin it on them being a toon. He may even get the legislation with a specific carve out against toons. Explicit or implicit.

Regarding the person who is probably Star:

On top of it being obviously distasteful to sell her out to Toffee, Mirage is the one who brought her to our attention and we know how she feels about vanishing supers. So we should keep our probable Spymistress's thoughts on the matter in mind as well.

As for Diplo, we are behind a step, but we still have options. If we make our social network this turn with one Stewardship action and do Acme Delivery for the castle with the other, we'll be making progress towards the possibly existing Court Wizard position and fighting back against Doom's slander campaign in one go. This involves putting off Chicken Itza for a turn, but we can just send Janna and Khan off to Xanadu this turn to keep up the magical temple questline from that angle. I suppose we'll just buy Lee Industries with L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N.

Also, while we'll definitely be popping both Mirage's look into supers action and the look into the cape scene Intrigue option, we could cross our fingers, ignore crime in LA a bit longer, and Wing the Hawk somehow to start targeting Doom more directly. If we could get Hawk arrested, that would force Doom to spend some diplomatic effort fighting fires instead of targeting Toons or us, which would be a major win.

And there are other non-Diplo PR wells we can keep tapping going forwards. We can sic L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N. at the DC 45 recycling action when we get the chance, for example. Which is good, because once we get our second Diplo action online we'll need to play catch-up.

We shouldn't hyperfocus on fixing our PR. If we invest resources into just fixing our PR, that shows weakness.

We should invest in something that fixes our PR and either provides a benefit to us or a drawback to an enemy.

It works on a visual level, its why the villain name for her is Screen Slaver, you have see the screen and keep seeing it, but they can be small enough to be in googles.

A few notes: SRA act going away could lead to a few things
  1. More chaos as powered heros feel confident in fighting against villains again
  2. Shego might have issues with this especially
  3. So will we, as we have literally declared ourselves as a dictator, rather than controlling things in the shadows
We might want to re-join the US (or actually commit to improving our military) so we aren't a giant target for would-be heroes.

We should definitely do something about Hawk and investigate the Cape scene

Actually the best thing to do right now about Hawk might be to expose him, it wouldn't be great for Doom if right after shit talking us it got out that his right hand man is a crook

I can't decide if WyndComm would help with the social network or not

Absolutely not, rejoining the US wouldn't do anything to dissuade the more hardheaded heroes, we literally have Evil in our name, and it is an enormous timesink
I mean the Fact they got something good enough to warrant an Interlude has me intrigued.
Eh, interludes are good but not necessarily world changing

We had an interlude where our reward was Dennis

What about Toon Heroes?

They're still Toons, so he'll argue that, even if they're "heroes", in the end, they're "just" Toons.

... also, if Gantu continues on his quest and discoveres Monsters Inc... that might actually allow us to recruit him, even temporarily, to help us foght Doom and, later on, Bill. Of course, that's assuming he goes through character development. Or we could always just catch him and force him to go to a couple of Technor's counseling sessions.

I mean, I don't think that Made in Heaven would have titled Interlude: Friends You Haven't Met in that fashion if Toffee wanted us to kill Star. He probably wants to curtail Doom. He probably wants to use DEI as a catspaw against Doom rather than directly fighting himself.
