On a side note, considering that we just went from Gravesfield to this, I would like to mention that we do have canonical answers to the question of "What do Boiling Isles witches think of the Hocus Pocus movie":
So for added effect, imagine the alternate reality were we somehow managed to recruit Edalyn during Magic Missile's Red Glare, and her head is sitting in the corner making that face for the entirety of the event.

I want to argue to put spies on Calisto, we can run schemes to take our revenge against Mark Beaks.

I kinda want to commit a supervillian act against him so our minions can rob him blind. It will teach him to mess with the pettiest men alive.

Burning his HQ is not enough to, it's a start but not enough.

Meh. I wanna go after some bigger fish. Doom deserves this way more.

i want Diecast robots, i just think they are neat. sadly unlikly to be done with the attack next turn
Nah our stewardship action pool is shallow enough its pretty much always being done.

Now rebuilding from an attack potentially takes Stewardship but the action should be done by the time that comes up.

Diecast Robots are just a 60 DC Roll, sonI thinknwe have fair good odds of finishing next turn.
the DC is 130, actuallty

Never mind, it's been so long i completely forgot we got a bare fail for it this turn, dc is 65 which we can auto clear with wendy, i don;'t remember how crit rules work exactly so idk the crit chances

The mechanics information post has:
Critical Rolls

Particularly successful or unsuccessful rolls are considered Critical Successes or Critical Failures. Your chance of critical success is defined as 1/10th of your chance of success, rounded to the nearest percent. Your chance of critical failure is now defined as 1/10 of the chance to fail, rounded to the nearest percent.
So it would be 10%.

I imagine getting Donald would be required to get Scrooge, and Scrooge absolutely would be a contactor.

That, or Scrooge has been placed in Level 6 of Impel Duck and we need to rescue him.
One piece reference, for anyone wondering.

Man, imagine if the Straw Hats were dropped into this setting. There's so many evil authorities of varying legality to punch in the face, they'd be at it for months!

Any Toon meeting Luffy: "...I feel a kindred spirit..."

Speaking of Toons, while there's a ton of stuff to look into with the II, and the mindscape mapping comes first, given, ya know, who's coming...Toons are a major element I want to look at with them. The secrets of Toon creation...Maybe we could even create CGI toons...

Just caught up with that quest finally finishing and- dear god, all the luck really did get concentrated in the last few updates, didn't it? Those last few updates were quite satisfying.
A discordant organ noise echoes through the night as Horvath slowly rises to his feet, a hiss of pain escaping as he takes a moment to right himself. His fingers clench around his cane as he raises it high, but it barely has time to glow before a swing from Blackbeard's saber sends it spiraling off into what remains of the pews.
No one thought to pick up the magic casting cane dropped by one of the most powerful mages around? For shame.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was worth a multiple of that potion.

I assume it's cursed. Or bobby-trapped, or...Something. And, considering Balthazar is on par with the best mage we have access to (well, substanially above because said mage is Mal), such a curse may be hard to break.

Maybe one of the Owl House folk will pick it up in the future, some of them might be in need of a casting device, good or evil.
Ironically, I think most Boiling Isles witches would dismiss Horvath's wand as merely a highly advanced training wand.

The Boiling Isles standard for wands is a magical companion that you helped carve yourself, comes with its own mana supply and can perform useful tasks like letting you fly, helping you see or stealing trash from other dimensions. A 'mere' powerful casting aid would have to practically be radiating power for someone to give it a second look compared to that, and I don't think Horvath is the type to advertise his power in that way.

Nonzero chance Eda puts it up for sale next to a pair of googly eyes and her ex's old crocs. So make that another reason to try firing up the Otherdimensioninator next turn

You know I just realised that any BI witch who meets Janna would absolutely assume that Feldrake is her Palisman.

Which will, depending on whether or not Feldrake knows what a Palisman is, either confuse or greatly infuriate him.

The Ducktales reboot does mention he was very proud of earning his fortune the right way he may cheat a little with treasure hunting and acquire the means for living a loooong life.

However some of the stuff DEI does probably would rub him the wrong way enough for only be able to become a contractor than a full employee.
