Not really we solve the issue of AI sentience so it no longer can develop one without our permession so Consumer AI no longer could be considerate AI slavery.
Then we wouldn't get the benefits of the action. The 7 income is from selling stuff on a new tier, not just top of the line non-sapient robots.

I wouldn't mind maybe doing a diplo write in to hype up what we're already selling as from the top experts in AI, but that's different from a new line of robots specifically designed to be made sapient and then sold.

I, uh...No? I mean, we'll see, but the whole point of taking that action was...
Outcome: Any AI produced by DEI will no longer run the risk of attaining sentience without your deliberate action. Resultant ethical issues and security issues prevented. Funtelligence shares these results.
It may be a SLIGHT income reduction, but I doubt that much, and we still figured out a big paradigm shift to use.

We actually have a pretty good idea what it is: It matches the description and abilities of a copy of "The Book of the People" from Artemis Fowl, which is basically the Fairy bible: An ancient holy book that describes their secrets, traditions, powers, ETC. Very useful, certainty, and it could be something else, but...Not urgent, really.

That sounds... really useful to boost our occult actions and it could be our way into butting in the events of Artemis Fowl happing in the background and possible stop the MCP from acquiring the Cube. The thing that can become a central key in assumung control of every single computer program in the world.

Something that's important because the MCs have no idea ENCOM is after them.

I, uh...This feels slightly harebrained, but, yes, it is 100% useful. Just not, ya know, critical, at the moment. We, and, for that matter, ENCOM have bigger fish to fry. Ducks, rather.

MCP wants the Cube and the AI wants to assume control of every single computer in the world and rule the Earth as a god. The Cube probably is a central component in it's plans.

So it's very much a priority.

Our Intrigue options aren't that urgent tbf and it probably would help Russ with getting back into a proper mindset and shape to spar with his nemesis (once he's done any relevant potential new personals obviously).

Like barring the hotspots and corporate agent actions (Zootopia/Huntsclan/the three Zaibatsu/Cloverleaf primarily (?)), our main options are Security Sweeps every few turns, Hunting for Star which we probably will need to spam, Murderous Toon once Russ' traits are back and we want to start prepping a Doom takedown, Sokyo Cult/Ogeron Weirdness/Celebration as things that are not our problem yet, and Doofanian Underworld who Blot at least had contact with them.

With spamming Hunting for Star and using Monogram on some of the infiltration options I don't think it would be hard to weave in a rival action to get the object back as a second Intrigue pick for Russ barring any potential personal being a major action chain.

Consumer AI is explicitly about Selling True AI's to people. It isn't us selling almost sparked AI's with a restraining bolt implemented; it's about us selling bonified people to Corps in order to have them work for them, likely without pay do to being property.

There is no way we can do an action that is explicitly that, like; heres the full action and Council's opinions
[ ] Develop Consumer AI
DC 110
Commercializing AI and distributing it to people for use in the home is a far easier application than attempting to adapt it for military use. All the AI would need to do is be accommodating to interacting with people and performing whatever tasks they are assigned without any objections. This of course brings up the issue of selling what are essentially thinking beings… although there are many who wouldn't see that as a problem. There are very few laws on record that deal with AIs in the first place, and certainly none that grant them full rights.

Council Outlook: 4/5 (Pass)
Coyote: I'm sure it won't be an issue. If they end up disliking their roles, they can always just rebel. (Pass)
Goofy: I won't stand for it, no sir. (Veto)
Janus Lee: It's worth it Doctor, I assure you. With these in every home, we could do untold good for humanity, not only directly but through the resulting funding as well. (Pass)
Mirage: I'm not a scientist or a philosopher, Doctor. I'll withhold my judgment for the professionals. (Abstain)
Ludivine: [pounding an Ottakringer] I see no problems at all! (Pass)
Malifishmirtz: Yeah sure go for it. (Pass)

Outcome: Gain +7 Income. Public Opinion Increase. AI sold.

Goofy explicitly opposes it on moral reasons; Mirage calls it a Philosophical Issue, and Coyote flat out says that if they don't like it they will stage a revolution. It's Robot Slavery. You cant do the Robot Slavery action without Robot Slavery.

This is the description of the action before the Prevent Unattended AI was taken so it's likely the description will change alongside the Council opinion.

It explicitly says, in the action, its selling Sapient People. I bolded the part it did so. We likely are already selling our best non-AI's possible to the public, because why wouldn't we, and if we unlocked a new Action on that level we'd have gotten it in the results. Hell, if it was just sell our most advanced non-Sapient Model; it likely would be a Corporate Action.

At the end of the day, we can not say we're selling True AI to people and not sell True AI. That's Fraud. Which we can be sued over; and that will just lose us money. So, for the millionth time (Not to you, buy yhe thread)

STOP. DOING. AI. SLAVERY.

To add onto this, if we're trying to do a non-AI robotics action, we already have Diecast Robotics as an existing option to bump our standing.

Alright, let's cool down here.

It's not that unreasonable of a position. It's definitely a failure of reading comprehension but not a terribly significant one, all things considered.

That said, I'm going to cut this debate short by clarifying that it is, in fact, incorrect. The action is indeed the choice to make and sell intelligent robots. While you can certainly sell robots with the AI-inhibiter (And we might actually add that to your corporate actions), that wouldn't be this action. This exceptionally valuable action is explicitly the world's reward for engaging in extremely immoral actions.

This isn't an arbitrary ruling; you can't take the 'Intelligent' out of 'Selling Intelligent Beings' without getting rid of the fabulous product only DEI can currently provide. You can still use some of the insights you gained to enhance your normal AI division, but that's still a much more developed and populous field.

I guess SPLIT/SECOND will serve as place holder for now if we get the action to sell limited AI then it will be replaced if provide better income.

Also since we are releasing some movies buying Super Cinemas would at least give us a in the market while Pyroclast can provide some insights into robotics while also setting up some Gene Therapy Clinics to help people. Depending how expensive these corporations maybe picking one of them will be ideal.

Ah, dang. There goes my plan to have my cake and eat it too. I suppose we'll just have to keep advancing our normal AI division, it just...It feels weird how little use we're apparently able to get out of our paradigm-shifting advancement. But, ya know, not continuing that argument.

These are both in the Negaduck splash zone. Might I suggest putting some spies in one of the San Fran peeps instead?

I think picking this would actually be a SIGNIFICANTLY bad idea. Our biggest advantage over Toffee at the moment is the fact he doesn't know that we know about his true nature and are planning to oppose him, and, thus, has no reason to try and screw with us. If we actively do something to piss him off, he'll respond, and, well...He has resources. We have spies in his camp now, hopefully, that'll help us find a way to screw with him on the down-low.
This is one reason we should have stayed in the Franchise Wars, we would have had an excellent excuse for interfering with Toffee. No need for him to wonder why we're sending spies or messing with his profits. We should still try to ensure that he loses the FW, though.

I mean, Civilian AI was legitimately just a matter of time before we get the rewards. We don't know what they are, just it will take a while.

You now I was thinking about N.O.W.C.A., Phineas and Ferb does shows the Agency is more complex than it appears and Monogram is ultimately only one of the division leaders as revealed when Perry accidentally drop in the lair of Agent Pinky, the only other leader that appears is Admiral Wanda Acronym but it's implied they have more while they also have the Super Secret Spy Network to serve as the paramilitary unit of the organization.

So I was thinking that is a secret Monogram is keeping close to his chest since as long Heinz believes he defeated the Agency he will have no reason to hunt down the other divisions, also because he hates the doctor, and why the N.O.W.C.A status don't match as a organization that has enough sway to the government to the point Monogram have a direct line with the president once, it's probably because Monogram has been cut off from they resources so he's only working with what he has available. Much like L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N. was a abysmal heroball due to infighting despite being compromised of genius mad scientists on par with Doofenshmirtz.

I mean the S.O.K.W.C.A. (Secret Order of the Knight Without Cool Acronym) it's possible they predecessor, so they have they origins as a secret society that never reveal they mission but it's implied that has something to do in keeping magical artifacts from falling in the wrong hands while probably being the ones to cover up how Panama Canal came to be and giving the US credit for it, probably how they end up as a federal agency.

This is not really the case. Monogram has done a good job of improving and reforming OWCA from what they once were like, and there may even be the chance to improve them some more, but OWCA doesn't have anything hidden offscreen either in terms of resources or government pull. In Gridlocked as a whole, we had to do some reconciling, between all the other government agencies running around, and within Phineas and Ferb's status as a wacky episodic sitcom.

What we settled on was OWCA filling a specialized niche (keeping mad scientists occupied) as well as falling between the cracks and suffering from a lack of support and oversight by the government at large. This is a failure on the government's part, and potentially an issue to be resolved- but in their defense, the government has a lot of fires to put out. Between corruption and infighting, rivalries in the tangled bureaucratic mess that is the Council for Anomalous Internal Affairs, and Monogram not getting a ton of respect to begin with even in canon, OWCA starts out as having been practically forgotten by most of the government.

That's sounds really dangerous, the threat of mad scientists is they inventions. The machines can cause a lot of collateral damage and even more when they go haywire, one non-cannon Halloween episode Heinz end up causing the end of the world by accident thanks to his invention.

I imagine that OWCA bear the humiliation of being a near forgotten agency probably because there would be no one to stop mad scientists from accomplishing they plans or stop when they inventions go haywire. That probably may be why Monogram don't suffer a further mallus in opinion for Heinz declaration of secession like Russ does since by that point this quest start Monogram and the rest of OWCA are more committed to they mission than the government itself, also Heinz may be the biggest threat on they radar since he's a mad scientist with the resources of a megacorp therefore he has the capabilities to built bigger and more dangerous inventions.

Heck in one of the episode the agency was shutdown thanks to budget cuts and Monogram and his agents decide to continue out of commitment for the mission than any sort of loyalty to the government.

Also what about they possible connection with SOKWCA? It would be kinda ironic they were the ones that get the US the fame of building the Panama Canal while one century later being forgotten by the very same government they help.

I..Uh...Please proofread the things you type, I have no idea what you're trying to get at here.

Speaking of NOWCA how about this write-in for a action:

Learning:
NOWCA Spy Gadgets
So Monogram has come to you, begrudging, and ask if he could borrow some of your research division to develop new spy gadgets for his animal agents. Apparently it's really important to have cutting edge technology in the spy world, some say is a matter of prestige after all what kind of self respecting spy don't wield cool gadgets, specially now the US government remembers that NOWCA work for them and he feel his agents are behind the technological curve compared to the other agencies. This must be addressed less NOWCA fades to irrelevance again however his budget is not enough to cover the costs plus Mirage tells you that this could be a potential way for future government contracts.

Outcome: Increase NOWCA Martial and Intrigue Status, Increase Monogram Loyalty, marginal increase Federal Government Opinion and will start to debate if the DEI could be useful.

Basically Monogram will appreciate the efforts in keeping his agents on par with everybody else on the technology sector that comes with a increase in status like +3 or +5 since the animal agents will now have more advanced tools in the field, the major will appreciate this of course and the government earn so little opinion because NOWCA still is not that important for them but Heinz basically help the government for free so it counts for something but they will start to consider the Diseased Lunatic of Danville can be useful instead of being just another nuisance, just maybe.

We alreadly have the cyborg suits if we want to help them.

Cyborg suits only increase martial status, this one is to specifically increase they Intrigue, there were a lot of times Perry manage to escape Doof's traps thanks to one gadget or another, and give on minor bonus in combat. Also it would make the government to ponder if the DEI could be more than just a nuisance.

Meh. I think there are more fruitful collabs we could do with them. The Imagination Institute are still the one i'm pushing for, since "doing science to weird stuff" is the one thing we're better at then any other company (thanks to our high Learning and crit-fail reduction trait), but we could also offer to use our understanding of Zootopian climate tech to help reclaim the Wasteland, ETC. But, yes, boosting Monogram's Intrigue is cool in its own way.

Monogram is a very useful Hero Unit since he does National Action for free so I feel that boasting his status is definitely worthy and the real reward would come to help Uncle Sam in a rather direct way with no strings attached, sure NOWCA is not that relevant for the government plans but they will notice that Heinz just help one of they agencies for free.

Also it could unlock a personal action for Monogram to Expand Gadget Arsenal, it would roll a dice to see if NOWCA can create new gadgets based on a new technology that's introduce globally. Depending of the technology and the roll it could grant a bonus or not.

Also how about this for a Martial write-in:
Integrate CJ in the Security Systems
You have so many traps that you start to struggle in maintaining them, much less remember where all of them are located. That kinda reminds you when you make so many traps to stop Perry the Platypus only to end up trapped like him. So you come up with a brilliant idea, CJ have take care of the 'Bowl of Mints', whatever they are, so she definitely can help keeping all the traps primed and ready plus lots of your employees are accidentally triggering them so in order to avoid future lawsuit, she can make sure only the correct person is trapped so they canl no longer take you to take court, hopefully.

Outcome: CJ integrated in the security systems of your headquarters, all infiltration attempts have a much higher chance of being discovered and hostiles DCs increased against you with Security Sweep DC is lowered, potential lawsuit averted.

Personal Action:
Build a body for CJ
So your go-to workplace organization program is kinda having a problem since she can't organize paper without help, being a computer and all, so why not build a body for her to fix the problem?

Outcome: Unlock CJ as a physical Hero Unit, due to her nature as a computer program she can't participate in National Actions or Quests that are not able to connect with the main serve in your headquarters. Unlock new national action CJ Legion.

Basically CJ would be a Steward Hero, although she can do actions in other categories but since it's not her main specialty she could only do them when couple with another Hero since is more akin to help keeping track of they notes that actually offer any help in they assignment so in gameplay terms she offer a bonus in rolls.

CJ Legion would transform her in a heroball since it would means to mass produce her primary body so all her status and bonus roll would be double but she still follow the same rules when she was separated unit. When she's not assigned to a National Action she gives a small bonus to all actions that are located in your headquarters but is not as strong as if she was assigned to them.

Quick setting clarification

CJ is a program, not a Robotic AI. This is an important difference; as it completely redefines how her existance is defined. She wouldn't be able to fill up a Robotic body herself; and she is already a Sapient being; albiet one dedicated to her programmed task. Eitherway She is alive and present in the subdimension known as the Grid (Cyberspace); where she effectively serve as out counterpart to the MCP who we can not access yet. How she appears physically is unknown to us; but she is a Stewardship-Diplomacy character who has a Fairy Tale Princess aesthetic,

We lack her as a hero unit for several reason. Biggest is Doofenshmirtz doesn't actually know she is a person working for him. He doesn't know what the Grid really is; and needs to either talk to Alan, get a real good roll talking to CJ, or have someone physically enter the Grid and reveal it. If we got CJ as a true character, she'd be most useful in the Grid then in realspace.
