QM here, popping in to confirm. Civilian AI cannot be Big Idea-ed because of the nature of the action.

The nature of the action being this:
Civvie AI is actually a lot of management and organizational stuff. Yes there's organizing the production of robots, but there's also a lot of figuring out where to put them, what the efficiencies of doing so would look like, sorting through ethics boards, etc. That's why the intern bonus applied to it.

Ah. I mean, granted, narratively, the idea of P&F doing robots, even if it wouldn't be an auto-crit anymore, does sound like it'd be amazing, but, yeah, if it's not an auto-crit, it's not really worth delaying an action that, explicitly, takes a while to actually bear fruit, a turn.

I've seen this said a few times.

Why do you think that? We've gotten some very nice bonuses from critical successes before.
Khan was a crit success. The early-on crits meant a lot, and they got less impressive as we learned to game them to always crit. With the new crit mechanics making them actually rare again, this issue should be fixed.

We're good if we pass the DC.
And we cannot possibly not pass it.

Crit successes aren't (usually) nothing, but I struggle to think of an example that would have been worth going out of our way for other than getting Russ.
Khan, DoofOS back when it was worth 7 income, IIRC Lizzy, TECHNOR. Crit successes did us a lot of good early on.

Welp, I guess there is such a thing as too good to be true.

They also stated P&F are a poor narrative fit do to the long nature of the action and the fact they're only here for summer. I wouldn't mind em helping through a personal if they could, but running the thing sounds... frankly exhausting for them.

I'm not going to disagree mechanically, but you know what else takes a long time? Building a rollercoaster. But they managed that in an afternoon.

Yeah, if you go by simple feats accomplished, Phineas and Ferb should be fully capable of helping humanize AI, probably through a montage of them exposing the robots to a series of random social events with little rhyme or reason while a catchy song plays.

But it's a quest, and not giving us a free critical success on a capstone action makes perfect mechanical sense.

Now that we have the supervillain team, Any thoughts for the potential in-universe names for the team?

Sinister Syndicate

Squad of Harmful Operatives for Pernicious Lifting (SHOPLifting) (give the LEPRecons a scare)

Donut-Punch
Deluge Of Nefarious Underhanded Troublemakers Performing Unsavory Next-level Choreography and Harm

...or "Brainstorm"

Actually something I need to ask but would it be possible to have Wendy Wower and Alan work on Civilian AI together somehow?

Wendy is gonna be available again by March/April 2018 after helping Trevor Trengrove do what he needs to do. Plus increased loyalty

Having 2 of the best minds in regards to AI or atleast in programming work together can achieve in AI would make a great story.

Increased loyalty for both heroes and I just like the idea of Alan getting a friend.

Also reminder we get a +10 to any Learning action of our choice

This is very optimistic. She is staying to help Trevor against Yokai. And Yokai had the meeting bugged and knows everything they planned...

Unless something happens beforehand I'm expecting March to come around and Wendy doesn't show up. Then we have a intrigue action to try and find out where she is. And we find that Trevor's lab burnt down a while ago and no ones seen them for months...

Given Mez's succcess this month I'm expecting something in the rival report either this month or next month that will lead into a crisis.

She might get something but I think it would be more focused on the leader of that company (Liv?) planning to use giant berserk super powered mutants to cause havoc once they find a way to control them rather than anything about Wendy.

The thing you're not considering is that Liv(Dia?) secretly works for Yokai, if he's acting she's likely to know about it.
