Janna's 766th Day on the Job
I have so many conflicting emotions right now. But overall? That was amazing.

In all seriousness, though, I do want to hand the company over to Janna in our will or whatever. Vanessa's not interested, Mirage has found her spot but doesn't quite fit the company's brand, Norm is... Norm, and Moseby's more of a lobby guy than a CEO guy. So, yeah, #Janna2022

...what the fuck did I just say

This could actually significantly change eventually, once we finally bond with him. Janna is my second pick, but a fully realized Norm would probably be fine running DEI years from now.
For some reason, I always picture fully-realized Norm as acting a lot like...Well, like Roger with less smarm. This suave, charismatic natural-politician type. It's the 50s-dad vibes I guess. To be fair, Diplo is currently his second-best stat. Part of why I kinda want to introduce him to his uncle: He might learn some stuff about how to parlay his natural likeability into actual persuasive power.

I say make it so Janna and Alan share the company, for the meme.

Jannadice+Alandice=More chaos then ever before.

Sorta like the President Robot from Inside Job?

Based on recent events, it seems like our current priorities for people that need help in the short run are
  • Alan
  • Wendy
  • Wasabi
I'm... not sure what you mean?

Wendy is obvious even though in character we have no clue.

But why do Alan and Wasabi need help?

Wasabi is stressed but we can just put him on odi.

And Alan seems fine? He can easily complete Civilian AI next turn if he's feeling down. That should a pretty major accomplishment.

The whole plots of Tron and Big Hero 6 are big things that implicate Alan and Wasabi directly.

They aren't just "stressed" so we assign them to one action and then all will be well, it's not just about their current mood, but about the larger plots that they are connected to.

This feels like a repeat of the "assign Technor to cure people using therapy" sentiment from early on in the quest.

Speaking of Wasabi, I was thinking of nominating him for Martial Councilor. While his bonuses are not the largest, his Paranoid Perfectionist trait could help us avoid Crit Failures in one of the categories where they'd arguably be the most dangerous, and between Khan and the Heroball, the small DC increase should not be that huge of a deal.

Plus, putting an out-and-out coward in the council who's likely to be afraid of any of the actions he's supposed to oversee would be hilarious.

Terrible ideas: Have Doof use his chat action for all PAs on Ludivine, Jumba, Wendy, and Alan. Extremely weird brainstorming session ensues.

Problem is, he'd almost certainly veto anything too risky, which, with Mirage, Janus, and Goofy, may swing things a bit too far in the direction of, ugh, sensibility. We'd have to focus on "improving our market share" and "having an actual long-term corporate strategy instead of just a billion balls in the air with no real plan for when we set them off". Gives me chills man.

Better yet, have Doof use his chat action on both Jumba and Janus while both of them are working on the New Man project.

Either they'll bond over talking shop, or Doof will annoy them with his confusion over the lack of a self destruct button.

Maybe? Let's run through things. Khan/Technor have too big red flags, Norm isn't eligible, Lizzy would have no social skill there.

So we have some combination of Tobe, Wasabi, Wile, and Dennis. Dennis' main bonus would be the anti-veto sandwiches but those probably aren't too relevant in most reasonable council groups + would much rather be hunting for Donald. Tobe is frankly too valuable as a intrigue/occult flex with high value personals who can quest very well.

So we end up with Wile v Wasabi. Honestly maybe? It would depend on what actions might shift from unveto'd to veto'd. Wasabi is unironically a slightly better mechanically Wile (before we get into loyalty) with worse personals, even if his effective bonus is lower. If we could raise his loyalty a decent chunk by the next time council shifts come around this could be viable potentially? Especially with the particular bent that Coyote's personals take.

But at the same time, Wasabi is someone we want to push into a BH6 heroball at some point and is still not amazing at this job. Tl;dr, we unironically should probably try to headhunt out someone to be a competent martial councilor at some point who ideally doesn't have red flags on the level of Technor or Khan (Barring maybe Norm once he becomes a real boy if he becomes available for the spot?). All of the other posts have genuinely great options either in the backline or available right now.

We really need to find things to do with our martial capabilities that aren't just "Defend our city" or "Invade Drusselstien"

Given the chartization Norm gets in the show, as actually being a much more effective, if boring (for a given value) supervillain then Doof, that might work...For some reason, i'm picturing someone a bit like a supervillain Goofy IE ruthless, and not opposed to supervillainy, but also, despite their simple-minded nature, possessing far more...Common sense then is Doof's remit....Wait, they even both have a weird white-collar suburbanite vibe...Huh. Just...Hm.

We know Khan wants to go on an expedition into the Wasteland...

And it probably would have synergy with some of the newly unlocked actions to have a better lay of the land, alongside whatever we find there that could be useful, and helping reduce the DC of the Shego Drug Trade action (As we know part of their main strength is hiding across the Wasteland).

As long as we get permission from the government I'm fine tearing the wasteland up.

We've got what? Two quests there and collaborations with Shego in the area.

I think your reasoning for dismissing Lizzy and Khan as options is pretty weak. Councilors don't force us to take actions. Regarding Khan's supposed red flags, consider just how much stupid suicidal stuff Malf wants to do, and how that hasn't been a problem because we can just not do it.

Similarly, Lizzy's lack of social skills might make her less interesting in council discussion blurbs but doesn't meaningfully impact her viability in the role
