Okay, so it's time to vote.

Let me point some stuff out:

1. We can fire Lovemuffin without using an action right now.

2. Lovemuffin Wants to Do mad Science. They still want to murder us. And This is what mad Science Looks Like to Lovemuffin.

3. The only way to stop Lovemuffin wanting to murder us is to get them to do shit like this regularly.

4. The Low Hanging DCs that made Lovemuffin so useful initially are now pretty much gone. Lovemuffin will be failing a lot more often from here on out.

5. None of our Employees like Lovemuffin. Even TECHNOR hates Lovemuffin.

6. If Lovemuffin leaves they'll probably try to kill us, but they'll still be Lovemuffin and we have really good defences against them.

7. We also have a number of Hero Units who really want to punch Lovemuffin in the face.

8. Ditching Lovemuffin will probably act as personal growth. Keeping Lovemuffin will act as a return to Doof's Roots.

So... I vote:
[X] Attempt to arrest LOVEMUFFIN

Welp, here we go! This is gonna be a warzone ahahahah~

[X] Attempt to arrest LOVEMUFFIN

1. First of all short term this feels like putting a bandaid on a problem that's been lingering for a long time. Personally I don't value LM enough to tank Monogram's progress at the finish line for immediate consequences, especially since we just lost Russ for the foreseeable future
2. Keeping them around the way we have to sets a precedent for this and longer term this sets a very dangerous precedent.
-LM is absolutely going to expect that they'll be put on more stuff like this in the future.
-if something like this happens in the future we're going to have to go through this again, except at minimum Monogram just tanked progress and maybe our PR will be about the same
-If we don't put them on stuff like this, they might take it as a worse betrayal because we gave them a sign that we'd like them to do this type of thing and then held them back from it
-and I'm not even sure if they'll be fine with the current mad science stuff we do have, because us taking them back implies we're happy with what they did and they'll see it as a reasonable and probable thing they can hope to work on. If they're unhappy with something in the future they're absolutely going to point to this mess and ask "why can't we do this again"
Quick addendum -
Keeping them around might affect some of our other heroes. I doubt Lee and Wasabi would be happy to hear we let these guys go without consequences

[X] Let LOVEMUFFIN go

Farewell LOVEMUFFIN, I hardly knew ye. If I were a better writer, I'd try to omake up something about LOVEMUFFIN's backstory to try and convince people to keep them, but I am not a good writer. So all I can do is vote to keep them here.

I dunno, it just feels bad seeing them go. They've been with us since the very beginning, after all. And given even Dennis the Duck somehow became an effective, if not great, Hero Unit, these guys could've really been something more.

It's just, LOVEMUFFIN are megalomaniacal mad scientists who lash out against the world to desperately prove that they're important and people of note, but presumably they have reasons and backstories as to why they ended up as fourth rate mad scientists. It just feels kinda bad for their last hope of recognition and acknowledgement to instead cast them away.

[X] Attempt to arrest LOVEMUFFIN

No contest for me...but apparently there is still some room for discussion.

For example, some people are of the opinion that by kicking those idiots out, we stop being a "proper Toony/zany villain"

...Um, no?

We just harness our zaniness in a more marketable and especially LESS SELF-DESTRUCTIVE way.

Again, even without LM we can still...let´s say, get to developing a line of plasma guns that every now and then need to be "reloaded" by cranking a handle, which will cause it to play a somewhat tinny rendition of "Pop goes the weasel" while it´s at it - we simply will take measures from preventing that plasma gun from *exploding and boiling people alive with super-heated weapons-grade gases*

We will still be "that weirdo from Danville" among Kings - we just need be *smart* about how to market it.

That´s all I want, guys.

You focusing on the fact that we can still be zany ignores the fact that we're moving further and further away from being an actual villain. Like, when have we last voted to actually do something evil? Not fighting or stealing from another King, but actually done some villainy and spread some mayhem? Because I can't recall us ever voting for an option like that. That's the problem that me and a couple other people have, I think. That over the course of the Quest we've been consistently downplaying and downplaying Doof's role as an actual villain, and letting our subordinates go after they committed villainy on our orders is further proof of that.

it's painful to lose an extra action but we have responsibilities now:

[X] Attempt to arrest LOVEMUFFIN

And short of a major incident worse than this happening in the remaining interludes, I'm definitely set in the idea of Psychoanalyse Doof as one of the actions for next turn

... it'd be great if this action also counted as the final 8 to push OWCA to usability but we probably shouldn't be rewarded for the vague write-in

They could've, if they'd ever once been willing to work with us or otherwise improve. It's not like we didn't try, but they're determined to be the Bueno Nacho of scientists.

I would go the other way but they hit that which is ours. No. I mean we have evil benifits! We care about *ours*

Of for the love of....!
We have an action to fire a hero unit anyway, and lovemuffin DID INCREDIBLE work in the beginning, hell, thier maluses are because we didn't put them on projects they liked!
And the probability-inator is also responsible for some of Thier falls.
Also, jumba rolled nat 1 on the super hero project, will we also fire him for it?

And as was mentioned, we got a warning.
I do not want something with a worse outcome than the elevator, which we were warned about, just not with red text....
Last time we got red text was with Jana, right? And she ended up with Xanatos on another univers where we didn't listened to her warning.
