Wait. Xanatos is going to be critically succeeding at everything next turn, and all across the country his rival CEOs will be suffering random, humiliating failures. Failures with no discernible cause. And David has the highest intrigue stat of any king.

People are going to think Xanatos did this.
Ah, but Xanatos will take that into account and he will take an action that makes it look like he suffered random failures, but it will be a crit success because Intrigue!

Haha!

[X] "Oh, that reminds me. I maaaay have accidentally broken probability for a bit."

Not telling him at this point would just be a major dick move.

Well, since rn it looks almost certain that we´ll warn him of our Probability-Inator and he´ll be preparing to benefit fromsomething, one could call him if not responsible for it, then at least "complicit" in it

...Yeah, him suceeding despite apparently suffering defeats is almost memetically him indeed.

And someone that memetically 5 steps ahead is now willing to meet with us personally to thank us. This is honestly one of our better achievements.

Well, he flatout admits that without our unexpected help, his defense might not have worked out in the end.

And David Xanatos might be a lot, but "ungrateful" or "dismissive of other people´s played part" are not among his more nasty personality traits.

I might, as much Demona got screwed over here, we've now got confirmation that Thailog is incontrol of her corporation, and he's just as evil, while being far more intelligent and less batshit crazy then Demona is. This is not gunna fun.

Well, keep in mind I haven't watched the series ... what kind of plans does he have, what kind of goals?

Would his stuff actually effect us, or is he more of a local problem?

It's sorta funny how the different delays that occurred this month resulted in the event wrapping up much closer to Christmas than we intended.

Merry Christmas, folks!

In personality Thailog is Goliath's polar opposite: Thoroughly cunning and duplicitous, he will happily betray anybody for his own benefit, and not only does he display a complete lack of the Gargoyle instinct to protect; but actively seeks to inflict pain and suffering. He demonstrates sociopathy to an extent which dwarfs even Demona's, and at times seems completely aware of and at ease with his own evil nature. He also seems to have something of an Oedipus complex; both in his attempts to kill his "fathers", and in his choice for mates (first Demona, who was Goliath's past mate, and then Delilah, a genetic amalgamation of Demona and Elisa). He is a skilled trickster, rivaling Xanatos in his cunning and intellect.

After his escape from the oil rig at Black Rock Point with Xanatos' money, Thailog adopted the human alias of Alexander Thailog, a reclusive financier whom nobody has ever seen. In this guise he co-founded Nightstone Unlimited with Demona, and he now presumably uses this name in his current position as Nightstone's CEO. He chose the name "Alexander" as an homage to Alexander the Great, the famous Macedonian king who conquered a great portion of the known world in the 4th century B.C., as an echo of his own ambitions.

Thailog runs Nightstone Unlimited by speaker-phone, memo, and e-mail to keep his employees from learning his true nature. The purple Gargoyle does share one personality trait in common with his father Goliath- a fondness for stories and knowledge. He "encourages" his Illuminati assistant Shari to tel him stories, particularly about the other Gargoyles.

Here's a clip on him:

Just being an evil clone of Goliath who's smarter than him is scary enough, but he also shacks up with Goliath's ex, makes bedroom eyes at his daughter, and creates a sex slave from the DNA of two women he loved. Thailog is one of those nostalgic villains that becomes even creepier upon revisiting the show as an adult.

Yeah...basically, Thailog was Xanatos' self-admitted greatest mistake, with damn near all (if not all) of Xanatos' charisma, intelligence, and manipulation skills, combined with Goliath's physical power, and none of the morals of either. It's no coincidence that Xanatos dials back on the attempts to get gargoyles working for him after the Thailog fiasco.

Yeah...when Demona inconviened him enough for him to be happy about one of our strike teams dropping by to help him out on a whim, Thailog will flat-out *terrify* Xanatos into outright and permanently allying himself with Doof (one of the most chaotic-yet-still-vaguely-competent Kings around) to crack down on that psycho

Ohhhhhh, man! Demona's totally ruined! No assets, no company, no connections, no allies, and a handful of pocket change are all she has left.

Well, that and ludicrous amounts of delusions and hatred.

Still, karma bitch! Suck iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit~~~!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, we should still stay away from Nightstone unless we're taking it over. If half of what I've heard about Thailog on this thread isn't exaggeration, he's just as bad, if not worse, than Demona. Let's not try and poke the bear.

This is the only option. Xanato- no, David has put his trust and faith in us again and again. It's time we start paying it back. Plus, this is so something Heinz Doofenshmirtz would do.
